Bogus recorded message called twice in last 4 hours.

Just got a call from this number about a hour ago.....6:30 on a Saturday morning.....very inappropriate time to call......needless to say awake now...we are supposed to be on the do not call registry...........

This number called me, when I answered they hung up. Called it back said all circuits are busy.

Garbled but web site clear enough ......... DO NOT GO TO WEB SITE ..... concensus is HIJACKERS...... get your # and.... they use it.

HA they claimed to be Verizon and offered me $45 off my bill. Idiots!!

They only offered me $45.   Haha!  

said they were Verizon and I would get $45 I hung up another scam yesterday I was called by another 800 numbers same type of thing but they were offering $123. Ha!

Scam calls

Got a garbled message stating I was to receive $30 from Verizon. To redeem, I was to go to to a web site and log into my account.

Lucky you.. I said what the heck too and didn't even think twice about entering my info (stupid)!!!  Now they are using my phone number and I can't use my phone and I am getting charged for calls to Jamaica!!!

Called my cell phone. I am very selective about answering calls from numbers I don't recognize. If it's legit, leave a message, I will return a call.

I did not answer and there was no message.  Googled it and here I am.

they are Up to it again!!!!  I got a call today claiming a 40 credit on my phone if I go to verizon40.com I did and it LOOKS REALLY REAL, But it is definitely NOT.  it looks just like your regular sign in and password. I entered a bogus 555 phone number and fake password and it accepted it and said thanks!  Then it auto times out and sends you to the real Verizon website.

Just called my cell phone.  I'm upset - MY discount was for only $40 if I went to www.verizon40.com.  I tried it for the heck of it.  The site 'not available' but I could 'refresh' and have it available to me.  Huh?   While I was pondering this, the flashlight app on my phone kept cycling without my touching it.  Hmmmm.  Too much drama for MY day. . . .

800 922 2222 just called and said I could deduct $40 from my Verizon bill...

I got the same call for some reason and I totally agree with you it is a total scam.

They just called my phone and pretended to be Verizon. Stated I needed to go toga websitevto receive 125 dollars off my bill. I contacted verizon and they stated it was definately a scam.

Seriously hope that you didn't expose your computer to infection via scammer's keylogger or bot spyware/malware/virus by going on that website. With any of that stuff, the scammer has full access to your financial accounts + passwords + PINs or (if a bot) can use your computer as a conduit for sending out spam. Unless you have some super hi-tech killer antivirus software installed, I'd suggest you have your hard drive scanned by a computer professional (such as Geek Squad or somebody simmilar). Standard antivirus softwares are OK but against the average viruses but cannot detect the most advanced spyware & keyloggers.

They said that were Verizon with a bonus 120. I don't even own a pre-pay phone. The web site they gave was www.mybonus.com

Just got my call a few minutes ago.  I didn't answer because it was an 800 number. They didn't leave message.

Yeah just got the call from this number and said I got 120 dollars credit for my next Bill from Verizon even though I have at&t nice try lol

also got same but said I would get $120.  Have notified Verizon

Called Verizon and reported it.. they will block the number for you.  Like I would be stupid enough to think Verizon it giving away money??

Caller claimed I had won a cash prize from Verizon and to go to a web site to claim my prize!  Another scam.  I have my cell phone number listed with the Do Not Call Registry but I still get these scam calls from time to time.

Melted getting the partial voice mail of phishing scam. Message stated it was from Veizon and got o Verizon.com and get credits or something or rather. Total waist of everyone's time.
