I was just contacted be a recording of a female voice saying that I should go to verizon44.com to claim my $44 prize. The caller ID said TECHNICAL SUPPORT. I'm not with Verizon either! I feel sooo bad for the poor gullible folks that get duped by these scumbags. These people are probably more likely to be elderly or in need of money so they hope it's true.

Changed our cell phone numbers a week and a half ago and have gotten a COUNTLESS number of scam calls since then. This is the first time I've gotten a call from these people. Woman with a foreign accent (and a bad sounding recording at that) says that Verizon has issued me a $34 credit and to log in to myverizon.com/34 to claim it. I did research before logging in and discovered it to be a scam. I've been a Verizon customer for over 10 years and this is the first time I've ever gotten a call like it, so it's suspect to begin with. The web address they listed isn't an official Verizon site (although it's close), but unless I paid attention to that part, I may not have recognized it. Added the number to my automatic reject list on my phone.

800-922-2556 claimed to be Verizon (same as above), but time a $34 credit by logging into www.verizon34.com.

Verizon scam message

Scam call--beware. Part of the message left said, "...Verizon, we care about you." I have heard from others that this is a scam, and they want you to go to a website and enter your information to get a rebate on your bill. Verizon already has my information, so why would they want me to re-enter it? It's a scam to get your information.

I continue to get calls from this number and no one is there in most cases. In other cases, there is a pre-recording.

Lady (recorded voice) called from 800-922-2556 and told me I won $34 from Verizon and to log on to a website to claim it. She said the web address fast and then hung up.

They call and hang up after 12 sec

No caller id information. Left voicemail which was cut off because they are too stupid to wait through the greeting. Only part that was understandable was "have a nice day", male voice, foreign accent.
Number is listed with the FCC as being for PCS World, a provider of payphone services with a notation that the information is from 2002.
Number also appears in a document for the Reno Convention Center for the provider of data and telecom services.
