The caller id shows Wachovia. Wells Fargo took over Wachovia in 2010 so it's actually Wells Fargo calling. They never updated their phone system.

wachovia ....they called to let me know that our personal and business accounts were linked together as i had requested-not a scam or spam caller-they are a legit caller

called non stop asking to put last 4 of daughter SSN into phone...called Wachovia (name on caller ID) and was told they have had numerous phone calls about this number and call. DOn't do it!!!

Got a call from this # but I don't have any accounts with Wachovia banking or credit card.

Wachovia ALWAYS uses a caller ID. Beware giving out any information -- even if it's just the fact that you have an ATM card. If you take a call from someone who claims to be calling from Wachovia, ask for their identification and then call your local Wachovia branch to verify.

Don't be surprised if your local Wachovia says this is a scam to get information from you or to get you to use a "new" ATM card -- one that will trap your password or other information.

If the caller insists that s/he is calling from Wachovia, tell her/him to MAIL you the information and new card. Make it plain that an e-mail won't do, you need a snail mail letter with contact information on it.

They called me about new security measures for banking and wanted to verify if the file information was up to date. A legit call.

i am sick and tired of them calling me. i would never bank with them...they are awful...ask them for their "banker id number" all people that works for a bank have one, that will get them because they won't give it to you. anyone that ask for a ss # is not calling from Wachovia Bank. it is someone that Wachovia has turn their tele-marketing over to. so beware! caller id is never provided, if Wachovia was really calling their id would show on your phone.

It's okay to answer the PHONE - they are NOT calling to say you are over drawn - they are calling from the Corporate office and usually tell me something very important - for instance - TARGET had millions off Credit Card Numbers breached (security, and they called to let me know they would send a new ATM number out.  This number also calls me to tell me they may see a bunch of suspicious transactions (like the time I went to the UPS counter and ran 31 individual charges through - the day DHL shut down.)
They are your friends not enemy!

I got 2 calls back to back from this #. When i called back, the wachovia automated service came on. i spoke to one person who wanted my ssn or card # and said that my check card was being "comprimised" then she said she was going to speak to the fruad department and never came back. I got transfered to another guy in "lost management" department, who asked for my card or SSN # again.
I'm very annoyed by this point.
Then he has no more info that she did. my card is expiring on so and so date, and it's being comprised.
No rhyme or reason given - NOTHING.

I called Wachovia about a hold on my account.  Apparently, Easy Saver is trying to get some money.  At any rate, I received a call back from this number and it was the customer service rep who told me that she was able to find something and that I didn't have to wait for it to post.  She found the 800 number, gave it to me, and told me to have a great day.  I wish that CHASE had been as kind.

It's 800-WACHOVIA (800) 922-4684. They have been calling non-stop. Must be their marketing department or something, my account seems to be paid and up-to-date.
