who is who call me

Repeatedly called my cell phone ALL DAY, couldnt answer. Then I call them, the recording says "to speak to a live person, call 1-800-456-6565". When I called that number, the person said they're trying to sell magazines and they got my cell phone number from the internet. "Any time you send info by internet and provide your number, we get it".  Also, shockingly, she said "even if you submit your number on the Government's DO NOT CALL list, we still call."  Then, I asked her to remove my cell phone # from her call list because their calls take away from my cell phone minutes BUT before I could finish speaking, she spoke OVER me interruptingly and said "I can't look up your number so I have no way of doing that". About 1/2 hour after I got off the phone with this person, the 800# calls my cell phone AGAIN! This time, I answered.  They hung up on my after I said "hello" twice.  How irritating is that??  Guess we're all sh** outta luck, they can call whomever they want to, whenever they want to...including hanging up on you if they choose to!

Yup, happend to me all day, sometimes i would get calls from an "unavailable" number too and whenever i would have a chance to answer it they would just hang up! its soooooooo annoying, good thing im due to get my number changed soon.

they called again today and said something about 1 million dollars and a raffle... but I told them that I am 17 so I really dont think that they will be calling me back now... im not really 17 but I thought it was a good strategy at the time... I would recommend this method to any others having problems with people from this phone number... and maybe even any other telemarketer numbers.

The phone calls continue, every two hours with a voicemail of heavy breathing following. I am already on the National DO Not Call list, and have even reported the number with a complaint to them. I do not know what else to do, but you are correct, this is harassment.

I managed to find the National Do Not Call registry.  There is a link so that even cell phones can be registered.  It is as follows. https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx Go on line and simply follow the instructions.  If it's a cell phone you want to register follow the links.  Sad part is that it takes 31 days to take effect.  Good luck folks.

Okay.  It's been made public that the person generating all these calls is being more than a little annoying.  Who do we contact to have these calls stopped?  Hasn't there been enough complaints?  Or are we complaining to the wrong people? What needs to happen in order to get these calls stopped? Anybody got any answers?

I got 10 calls yesterday from this number.  Each time they hang up as soon as I answer the call.  I want this to stop.  I'm a busy man and don't need the constant interuptions.  This caller/automatic calling system needs to be found and stopped.  The creater of these calls needs to be arrested for harasment.

they've called 17 times today.  No one is on the line when answered, when the answering machine picks up it's just static.  Highly annoying.

Has called once every two hours and leaves a message with breathing on it. This is ridiculous.

They call every hour to two hours and when I pick up its static...had someone call the number from their phone and it was a weird directory so we quickly hng up out of fear its a scam

This number has called me twice today 30 March 2009.  I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the number.

That's not altogether true. I called and put myself on the "do not call" list and the b*****ds KEEP CALLING!!!!

yeap they just called me abot 20 minutes ago. Some person i'm in the top 5 contestant to win a million dollars! B***S***!!! I immedietly hung up on them! Jackassess!

calls from 800-923-3282 (magazine subscriptions) persist even after being asked to be put on their DO NOT CALL list - Option 3 on their recorded message.

Calling the cell phone every day.....Nary a message left.....Although todays call contained three seconds of breathing.....

Historic occasion-- they left me a message! It was just some guy muttering incoherently to himself, but it WAS a message. One that walked the fine line between funny and creepy. I think he called me a bi*** at one point.

Person named Joe Evans call me from this number and asked for me by name.  Pretending to be my mother, I told him that I was not at home and that I would be returning within an hour.  He would not say why he was calling.

These idiots have called my cell phone 6 times today, and it's not even 1pm yet.  THIS IS A SCAM!  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!

I have received several calls a day from these people. They're calling my home phone as well as my cell. The one time I did answer I was told that I had won a ladies diamond watch and was entered into the drawing to win a large sum of money as well as free magazines. When I started to lose interest in the conversation the man I was talking to put me on the phone with his 'boss' who tried her best to get my credit card information. When I stated I wasn't going to give it to her she hung up on me although they still keep calling.

When I pick up they hangup.

They call me in the early morning and several times throughout the day. I answered it once and they tried to get me to buy magazines. They make it sound like it was going to be for free and then toward the end of the conversation I realized that I would have to pay for the subscription. I told them I was no longer interested. They have been calling me ever since.

Won't stop calling me.

This number (1 800 923 3282) called me six times two days ago and once today. I didn't answer any of the calls. Another wise guy that the public has to endure.
