I received a call from Shane wilson from EZ1 rate(rape). He had a heavy accent and pronounced 'w' as a 'v'.Hmmm. 300 dollars in gas coupons for a small S&H fee, all he needed was my CC#. Not today.

May 7, 2009 Call from an idiot with Indian accent to my home in NJ $300.00 free gas etc. load of crap checked Google with the phone# I was right total scam...........

I just received a call from an unknown number informing me that my telephone number is selected to receive $300.00 in gas coupons in random draw and I can redem this at most of gas station. Based on my firm belief that nothing comes for FREE, I always suspect such call even if lot of times it turns out to be legitimate one.
The caller mention that this is promotional offer for the products his company (EZ1Rate) sell but emphasized that there is no liability on me to purchase anything.
he said that he needs to send the package which will have details of products, i.e. long distance calling card & Health Card offer(don't remember the details) and asked for my name & shipping details. I told him before I can give him any information I wanted to verify his identity and then he provided me his name & employee ID(Name: David Jackson  Employee ID# 7846) and gave his contact number as 800-923-8939. when I asked can I call him back on this number then his answer was negative.
Meanwhile, I immediately Google it and my suspicion was true. Not wasting any more time I simply disconnect the call and he didn't call me back confirming that it indeed was an attempt of fraud.

I just received a call saying that I was chosen to receive $300.00 in gas coupons. She (Annie Jones Employee ID# 3036) repeated herself several times saying that I would only have to pay $4.95 S&H and not a penny more. I was going along with it until she asked for a CC# and that's when I said no thank you. For one, the number on the caller id was different than the call back number she gave plus, if this was a legitimate business, could they not do a COD? I was just scammed not too long ago by Google Money Tree so I don't give CC#'s anymore.

I too just recieved one of these .   Indian accent.  I knew immediately it was a scam and just sat back and listened to the speal . .
if your an idiot to give a CC # to someone calling you you deserve it.

Caller stated name of EZ1Rate, Richard, ID#1035, Carson City, offered 300 in gas coupons, LD calling card for 10 days, 10-50% off VIP Health Card. Advised to send package needed to PAY 6.90 shipping. Gave 800# of 800-923-8939. Its a scam and listed all over the net. Google it. I understand these folks will deplete your bank account, record you without your knowledge, and when contested will play back your edited voice showing confirmation. Be Careful! I gave no information yet others might not be so lucky. Shows all 0000000000 on my caller ID.
