18009259018 extension 63966 although it came up on the caller ID as 954-236-6083.  "Diane" called just saying she wanted to speak to a family member that I'm SURE did not give her MY number. Yes.  I am definitely filing a complaint

I received a call from this number today. I worked for several years in collections, so let me clear this up. A debt collector or 'dunner' can call a nearby or neighbor in about 47 states in an attempt to get a debtor on the phone. They will usually tell you they are calling long distance, that it is urgent, but not the true nature of the call because that would be illegal according to the Fair Debt Collection Act. Otherwise, what they are doing IS legal.

They also use words like 'claims and summons' but if they are good at their job and practicing within the law of the FDCA, those words are always preceded by 'might and maybe' as they HAVE to do what they say they are going to do because the way the FDCA is written. So it's all a lot of misleading, inferred, implied, threats that always have the words maybe and might. 99% of them can't even make a referral as to what action they recommend be taken. They or the company they represent has purchased your debt and will sit on it for an indefinite period of time, sending it back to their 'hard to collect' files or dead debts files and bring them out later for one or two more passes.

Good thing this is to my google voice number so it is converted to text and then sent to me without ringing my phone. Piece of advice, everybody get a free google voice number and use that number for anything that asks for your phone number. you don't really want to get these spam calls ringing your phone at all hours on inconvenience. once you answer, they know they have a live phone number. they may be systematically calling numbers to locate the live numbers to sell to marketeers.  I have signed up with do not call/do not junk mail me and I though it has reduced the legitimate businesses, it will never stop the fly by nite illegitimate businesses. I pay all my stuff in full so i don't owe anybody (UCB) anything (except my mother and father who I owe everything:) )

I received a phone call from Cynthia Cole @ ext 63788 for my sister (our numbers are under completely different names that have no relation). how did they get my number? why are they calling me....

Got a call from Ms. Tucker who first left a message and reference number with my family member in an urgent tone like it was some sort of life or death situation. Family called me to pass on the message to call 800-925-9018 ext 63679. I asked Ms. Tucker why she was calling other people before she even called my number trying to say she was "trying her best to reach" me. I never once got a prior call from these people. Blocked the number. These people are rude and have no respect for privacy. Makes me sick.

Person at UCB called my place of employment and left a message with phone number, extension number and reference number.  This is highly unacceptable.

A Miss Williams called me on my cell asking me to pass a message onto my neighbour, she only provided a reference number and would not go into detail.  When I asked her how she got my number she avoided the question a number of times before eventually telling me it was from a system she uses... The number she provided was 800-925-9018 ext 63720 however she called on a Florida number, 954-236-6083.  Scum.

I recieved a phone concerning my ex wife two nights in a row from someone named Ms. Windy when I asked what the call was about she said it was confidential. I have already told them once before not to call me because I do not communicate herand we have been divorced for 7 years and I have no financial ties to her. I also told them that I should not be harrassed by them because of her that if she owes hem money to find her and leave me alone.

I received a message from my neighborhood. They had received a call from this number asking to contact a person who had been living at my house. First, They denied to provided information about the company. Second they stated that they are going to continue calling neighborhood if I do not provide information abouth the person. After 10 minutes, they identified themselve as a collector debt. They transfer my call to different extensions and they were very rude. I tryed to get information related with the call and they asked to get a power attorney in order to provide me with information. It's crazy. I will submitt and sue with this company.

I received a call on my cell #  from a man with a deep, ethnic accent stating "This is Daniel Henderson with the office of UCB calling for______  _______.  It is very important _____, that you call my office @ 800.925.901_."

This man's voice was barely discernible due to his strong accent.  I also find it VERY unusual that he addressed me by my Ex's wife's first name while he had my last name correct......also the fact that he left an incomplete amount of digits in his alleged call back number.

I do not release my cell number & detest all rackets of privacy invasion/harrassment.

a person named Robbin called. She wanted me to tell my neighbor to call her.

They hung up on me! WTF??

Mary Romas called me asking for my grandmother and stated that she needed to call MAry because of a complaint that my grandmother made!! I checked the 800 number while I was on the phone with her and asked her about it....she hung up on me.

I have received multiple calls from Mary Ramos.  Today I received two calls at 9 am from "Mary Ramos" at UCB.  They gave two different phone numbers and they were obviously NOT the same person.

A "Ms Williams" called my brother in law and ask for me to call her back. I don't even know his number and they manage to get it. WTF.

A Sidney called from UCB to have my ex-son-in-law return her call. I do not have his current phone number. Don't know why they called my house to contact him.

Mrs Tucker called my 82 year old mothers home with a harrassing call.

They left a message on my cell phone.  I don't give out my personal cell phone number to anyone other than family and friends, so I don't know how they got it.  They gave a reference # and asked me to call back. I don't not know who they are. They gave a name and extension and said they were from UCB. Don't know why they are calling but I don't take calls from people calling from toll free numbers. AND I CERTAINLY DON'T GIVE THEM MY CELL PHONE NUMBER!

I received a voice mail from these idiots today looking for my sister-in-law.  I called them back and told them to go to hell.

They've been calling my sister's cell phone nonstop asking for me and she's getting mad at me but I never gave them her number. You can here people saying inappropriate comments in the background sounding all ghetto. Very annoying! Please stop harrassing us!

These ****heads called my brother looking for me. That shouldn't be legal. First it is none of his business if I owe anyone money. Second, no one should be telling him anything about me. Let them call my neighbors HA! We've moved far far away, and UCB is NOT in this state. They are out of Florida.

Just received a call from a Miss Cloe (phonetically spelled) who stated my husband's full name and said it was imperative that he call them back and speak to her at 800-925-9018 Ext. 63716. She identified the company as UCB and further stated this was not a sales call or solicitation phone call and, again, that it is very important that he call her back. Caller ID came up "Out of Area". We do not usually asnwer calls unidentified. I did a search on the web for UCB and have now learned that this could potentailly be a scam and will plan to report our experience with the FTC as well.

someone from this co. called my neighbor and left them a message to have me call them. How can this be ok to call someones neighbors RE: a Debit that I owe... thats nobodys business but mine.  I did file a complaint I hope everyone does this is JUST WRONG!

they called my brother and said i gave his number as a contact number. which is not true, inever give out anyones number!!!!!!!!!! then a lata more was rude a abusive to him.he told her never to call him again. an she slamed the phone down.

I got one better... they called me at a new home and number I've only been living in for two months... looking for a family member who has never lived here... AND the reference number they left is his SSN!!!! Be CAREFUL.... they are leaving people's SSNs on voicemailboxes that are not the owners!!!

Called and left a message for a neighbor I had a year ago.  I returned the call and asked them to remove my number (How did they get it in the first place?)

Returned from work to find 1 call on the caller ID - no number, just "UNAVAILABLE."  She left a message.  Identified herself as (phonetically) Ms. Tinder (static on the line so could have been Kinder or some variant of one of those spellings). Odd that the number did not show up on the ID.

Anyway, she said I was "listed" as a contact for the person she was trying to reach on a "time-sensitive" matter.  She left this 800-number and her extension, and requested that I have that person return the call.

I haven't any intention of calling back regarding someone I know nothing about.
