I have been receiving call from this "law" firm in which I am not sure if it is real or not. SAying I owe them 450 for a 250 loan I took out. I paid back over 350 to the company i got the loan from. is this real or fake>?????? someone please help me.

have your job file a police report for harassment via communication  and  violation of the privacy at governin the privacy of your information since they are attempting to call  your job and the calls are being received by your employer to inquire private information about you which your job cannot release, this is in violation of the privacy act , in addition if you receive the calls at your home you can file a police report as well and the FTC and FCC, as long as you have the actual confirmed paperwork that can dispute you have paid in full in addition to the transaction from your bank account or credit card account and a confirmation of the loan that states its paid in full , then you can send a copy to the 3  credit  bureaus  via a certified letter return receipt to satisfy and clear your credit on this matter and have clarification from them this is accurate, place a security freeze on your credit with all 3 credit bureaus for 90 days and then renew it for another 90 days, and another 90 days, you have to call each time to notify them  until this matter is cleared  and then you can file a complaint with the better business bureau  via certified letter with return receipt to have this company who is harrassing you be investigated and you can show proof that you have paid in full . it seems alot of effort has to go into this ,however it may prove to be fruitful in the end when it clears your credit reports, the dangers re anytime you apply for a payday loan your informaton is sent to many lenders and sometimes the scam artists get hold of your information off the internet  and they buy and sell your information so you may want to delete as much information off the internet about yourself as much as possible , they can eve trace your Iphone and other cell phones and facebook info to is where they are able to track you so people have learned to be more careful

Received several messages on answer machine giving only firm name, docket number and reply phone number. Called it and was given the name of a female individual unknown to me who allegedly used my business phone as her residence phone. I told call taker that this is a business phone and has been for 20 years. She said she would remove my phone number from her list. Hope I never hear from them again.

I received a message from Don Powers  stating that an alleged lawsuit has been placed in his office from Pack Management stating that I did not pay them their funds back.  He gave a (954)251-0267 number stating that he is from Lombardo Law Firm.  I am now trying to reach Pack Management at (866)943-6712.

I just received a call from a bill green at Lombardo, Sutherland and Meyer. The man left a message on my answering machine stating that the message was for my brother. My brother has never used my phone number as a contact number so I am unsure as to how they got my number. They said that a case was opened and they gave a case# and told me to call them back at 954-251-0281. Said that it was very inportant that I have my brother call them. What pissed me off is that my brother is going through some legal stuff unpertained to this stupid little loan that he took out and I really thought that it was one of the many lawyers that I had emailed. People like these people are scum of the earth and better never call me agian.

I got the same call yesterday!! Is this one of those scams trying to get your money!! They threatened to file to take my tax money! They won't give the name of the so called company they are calling for!

Got the same rediculous message from (919) 251-0284 from "Lombardo, Sutherland, and Meyers".   "Adam Knight" claimed a guy at my number needed to get in touch with him soon, or time would "run out" (he clumsily forgot to say what happens if time ran out, making it even more rediculous).  

The same deal happened a few months ago, with two differences.  A different guy called from a number in the state of Washington, also looking for that same guy as "Adam Knight".  Also, that call was very threatening, saying legal action was coming for owing a debt and that if he didn't call back soon, the legal proceedings would start  (hey, "Adam Knight", that's the part you forgot!).

Anyway, I don't own anyone any money, so it's obvious it's a scam.  It's all over the internet, as well.

I start receiving call from this firm in Dec 2010, I ignored the call, then a another company Windmere Financial (NC) calls again, foolish me feed up gave the by account number to settle. Withdrew $400 from my account. While checking my email I download a letter from The Lombardo Sutherland & Myers Firm, with a settlement offer strange. I called ask why I received this letter, after funds withdrawn from my account, Robin Moore said I just had fraud committed by Windmere Financial she even provided there contact number!!!! 888-202-5335. I asked how do I know you if your are for real she said, of course we are. NOT. She even gave me a contact number for her 954-251-0307.. are they working together? funny my money ended back in my account Praise the Lord. I have learned by lesson.

These people called me and threatened me that there were charges filed against me and my SS# and the police were coiming to arrest me in north carolina and take me to California I said "wow I always wanted to go to california and you are going to bring me there for free" bs and when I find out who to report them too I am going to sue them for communicating threats........

I received a call from this "firm" and was told the same story as listed above. I requested  letter of verification to hav on file regarding this supposed loan. I did my research and it does appear to be the correct loan. I did some research and it does not appear to be a law firm, but a mediating firm whatever that is. The fact of the matter is I did take this loan out and I know I am responsible for this loan. I believe even though I might not agree with their practices, how are you trying to sue a company that has a debt that you owe? This country is going down the drain because of people like you, instead of paying your debt that u had every intention and were aware of what you were doing, you try to screw over a firm, collection co, whatever it is. These people have jobs just like you, pay your debts people and stop trying to slip through the cracks. If it is fraud and you did not take it out, file a police report for identity theft and give it to them, its that simple instead of all of you coming on here complaining your lives away. Grow up and act like adults

I dont understand why people are complaining about collectors calling them. When you borrow money, the lenders hand the cash to you with good intentions. When you dont pay them back do you expect the to not try and get their money back? Nothing in America is free...there is NO such thing as FREE MONEY! As these appear to relate to PAYDAY Loans - also contact YOUR state Attorney General.  16 states have banned payday loans and EACH state has its own RULES about collection on those loans.

Under the Fair Debt Collections Act sections 805,806 and 807...they cannot call your employer once you tell them not to....they cannot threaten you....they cannot call incessantly.
Send them a note telling them to a) not contact you AT ALL via telephone and b) request a Debt Validation letter and c) not to contact ANY 3rd party in relation to whatever it is they are calling about.

This will shut them up.

Same here! They left a detailed message about my friend's payday loan and charges against him. So I called back, but was disconnected. They called back from 954-251-0302 and the guy ("Jeff Fort") gave me the whole thing about fraud and theft by deception charges being filed against my friend's social security number. He told me everything about my friend's "case", which I then said is against the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. He said he's not a debt collector, it's a law firm, and this is the message the loan company wants to give my friend before the paperwork is filed. When I asked for the law firm's license number, he hung up on me! I'm reporting it all to the FTC and Attorney General!

They Called me this afternoon at work and home, both times claiming the exact same story, that i am going to be sued for theft and deception or some such and this will get my license suspended for 12 - 18 months and that i have like 48 hours to call him back.

I received a phone message from Lombardo, Sutherland and Myer  and they refer to a Docket number, but I don't know what it is about.

I just received a voicemail from this number but the only info was this law firm and a docket #.  I don't know what this is about.
