This BOGUS COLLECTION COMPANY rings my phone AT LEAST 8 to 12 times in a row PER DAY. TWICE A F****NG DAY.

I OWE NOTHING! I OWE ZERO DEBT AND I'M SICK OF THIS F*** HARASSING MY PHONE.

I thought we weren't supposed to give out personal info or any of our SS numbers to people like this? I have told them the name they are asking for "William"- if I say "William who?" they said "if William available, or when will he be?")  doesn't live here, and they say they will take my number off and stop calling. Even if William DID LIVE HERE why would anyone want to do business with or talk to someone like that? If the person owes a debt, they can put it on their credit report.

I get calls from this (Toll Free Number) from ,morning till night. They usually don't leave a message sometimes the machine comes on and they ask to speak to "William". I have picked it up and told them "there is no one here by that name" and "why do you keep calling my phone?" (sometimes I am outside or in the shower and rush to see who is calling only to see this... sometimes it will say a place like "Washington DC" or something but I think it's the same place with a spoofed Caller ID name/number) if I tell them no one lives here by that name they say sorry and will take my number off, but keep calling. usually I think if I don't know who it is or what it's about I shouldn't answer because that way they know someone is here and it's a real number. Don't they have to pay something to call using a toll free number? One time I said no one here by that name they started asking me if I know someone with that name and did he ever live here? (about 6 years ago I rented a room to someone named William, for a short time, but he had his own cell phone, they probably get my number from the address. Even if I knew where  he is now I woudln't give info to this place) this is a form of harrassment. I hink they sometimes use a fake name and number to avoid getting reported for something, it's supposedly illegal to do this (spoof name/number) but only if it's uses to threaten or sexually harrass someone.  What I have been doing lately, when I see what it is (various numbers) before the machine comes on I pick it up and hangin it up and that stops it. i could set up with my phone (cable co) something that only lets specific number some through, but don't think there's an option to block and even so, they use many different numbers.

This company keeps calling and they keep telling us to please hold and that some one will be with us soon then they hang up and call back the next day

Called a few days ago, I called back and it's "Jefferson Capital". When they called, it left no VM. Asks to enter some code on letter, but I did not receive a letter. I called them with a silent call, they ask for you to enter the thing and after you don't enter it someone picks up. Seems like an unlegit company. Blocked call.

A BILL COLLECTION CALL..LOOKING FOR SOME ONE I NEVER HEARD OF.....HAVE RECEIVED CALLS FOR 10 YEARS ABOUT THIS PERSON...IT STOPS FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND THEN STARTS UP AGAIN..

If it a debt collector, and they are legit, just mention "FDCPA". If they are following all of the guidelines of the Federal Debt Collections Practices Act, they will most likely behave professionally.
If not, I am guessing you will hear some bad words and the line will be "disconnected" suddenly.

Just received a call from 800 928 6614. Calls every day, never leaves a message, if answer, they never say anything.
Called them back today. Jefferson Capital Solutions with a "Fresh Start" program. Very nice lady answered, she asked for invitation #. told her do not have one. Told her I am not sure who they are calling for. She checked by phone number, was calling for an employee that left 8-9 years ago. Said she will remove the number. Lady was very nice about it.  

When these people call me, my first requirement is that all of their caller ID info MUST be available to me. I tell them that if they are hiding this from me, they are crooked and I don't deal with crooked people. If they get persistent or call back, I tell them: This is a legal cease and desist notice. You are hereby notified to cease and desist all contact with this phone number. There is a $25 notification and processing fee. Your legal debt is now $25. A $100 late fee will be assessed monthly to any outstanding balance on your account. Your consent to this is automatic. Thank you for your swift cooperation in resolving your legal debt. Have a nice day.

Just got this call. ID said Unknown Caller and a 1800#. I said Hello and there was a beep followed by a woman's voice asking for John. I said "You definitely have the wrong number." She said my number would be removed and I said if it isn't you will get a cease and desist notice and it will cost you money. Then I hung up.

800-928-6614 just called. I didn't even think about answering.  Not gonna waste my time or energy.

I get calls from 800-928-6614 daily.  If you answer it just hangs up.  If you don't answer no message is left.  I'm sick of these calls and it needs to stop but don't know how I can get it to stop.

Starting early Sept of 2013 I started getting calls from Jefferson capital early, like around 7AM asking for Caroline. Well that's not me. I've had this number for four years and this is the second time I've had to deal with a collection agency on the wrong track. They wouldn't listen, just kept lying that they would take my number off of their list. When I pointed out that it was 7 AM, illegal as hell, each time they acted surprised and apologized. I realize now that was just an act. I just downloaded my phone record from my internet phone service and am forwarding it along with a letter,my 2nd one, to the FCC. I doubt if it will do much good, they are inundated with complaints and lawsuits. I saw a YouTube video of Chris Jennings all but handing a case of felons running a collection agency (and they had their workers saying and doing all kinds of terrible things), to law enforcement. The officers said their hands were tied until MORE evidence came in. I couldn't believe it. I disconnected the home phone. Finding out that anyone can set up a 3rd party collection business gave me the chills.We need to wake up people.

These people started calling me about two weeks ago everyday asking for Caroline. Well that's not my name and I have never been financially associated or related to anyone by that name. I kept saying there is no Caroline at my residence and to take my name off their list. They apologize and say they will but call again the  very next day. It doesn't matter that my number is on the DNC list. What a joke that ended up being anyway. The problem is lack of over-sight of these agencies. Where there are billions of dollars to be earned, the crooks will gather. White collar criminals rarely see the inside of a jail cell no matter how many lives they have ruined or laws they have broken. We as citizens need to demand change. Public perception need to change. We need to see them for what they are: organized crime. They need to go to prison not pay fines that barely put a dent in their accounts.

If Jefferson Capital calls again today I am going to do exactly what I said I was going to do, call my attorney. The letter to the FCC was mailed yesterday. Follow up and fight!

Keep calling for someone else. Refuse to stop calling eventhogh it is the wrong number!

I have done that and have sue a company and won. I am in the process of suing another for that very same reason. I am also going to start another lawsuit against another collection company for calling me on a debt that was discharged in my bankruptcy and they were in the bankruptcy as well so I know they got the discharge order.  

However it can be a long process but it can be done. I have done it.

Been getting calls from this #..."PLEASE hold on"...I've yet to have a person get on.

Enter invitation number on letter received, www.freshstartsolution.com and at no bloody time does it ever say to remove number from database, which I thought they had to do by LAW.  I dialed the number and again, nothing but a bloody run-around, and no place to be removed.  Talk to someone and they say they need to know my invitation number.  How about DELETE from bloody database ?  So tired of this kind of call to a no call list in the 1st place.  Again and again they call and call.  Hey, cease and desist.

This company has called me 5 times in the last 15 mins each time a different person. Saying they are looking for Camil Brown I have told them repeatedly there is no Camil Brown here and to stop call my business. They just laughed. I call them back and they could care less. I am reporting them to the police
