I got a phone call from this number asking about my eppi or eppis card. I dont have a such card

i received this message NOTICE: Your UMPQUA CARD starting with 4788... has been s**t . This is a f**g message i got twice in  a day and it seems came from a hidden caller id

i got diffferent message about UMPQUA Card starting with..
just ignore those messages

These guys are smart. BOTC (Bank of the Cascades) is a local bank near where I live in Oregon

I received the same message as Tom - was thinking Phishing also

Got a nearly identical message as above:
FRM:NOTICE1241@yolofcu.org MSG:NOTICE: Your YOLO-FCU CARD starting with 4661 has been placed on HOLD. Please contact us at (8OO) - 936-O797.  

(Note Letter 'O' instead of numeric zero in the phone number.) The 800 number is not in service. It sure seems like phishing, but what's the  point if there's no way to respond.

The ID on the SMS said 1 (410) 000-001

They are using several different bank names -- be careful everyone!

I just gave a clerk at a drug store in CA. my phone number to sign up for a member card and the next day I got this text, I wonder if my information could have been compromised.

get the same message, Stupid spammers. I wonder how they got a hold of our numbers.

I got a text message on my US cellular phone  from umpqua.net but is asking me about a First Bank card !?  Very whierd, !!! the message i got is  : First Bank Notice: Your card starting with 449814 has been placed on hold. Please contact us at: 800-936-0797

Text came to my phone from ALERTid436@umpqua.net saying that my card starting with 4788 has been placed on HOLD.  Scam for sure.  I'm tempted to call the number just to practice my profanity skills in english but I'm really lazy tonight.  -caio

Text message claiming ummpqua card 4788 has been put on hold.  Definately scam.  Tried calling phone number, you get a dead line that echos, and probably records, everything you say.

Definitely a scam, do not reply. A bank will call you and send something in the mail. They also will not give an email address to respond to. I hope these people are found and dealt with, by our wonderful justice system of course;)

Got a text from Alertid594@umpqua.com saying my card has been placed on hold, except I donn't have any cards with the starting number they referenced.  Asked me to contact 800-936-0797.  Text received 6/9/10.

i got a text message from 502 saying CU WEST Alert. your card starting with 4852 has been deactivated. Please contact us at 800-936-0797. i have recieved about four of them. i just deleted my last one from them, and recieved three more today, 6/7/2010. it is definitly a phishing scam.
