First call came yesterday, I answered and and no one was there. Two more calls came today, but I did not answer them. I have been warned that this is a scam trying to get you to give out your personal information. But I am getting very annoyed with them calling me so frequently.

After reading comments I guess safe to assume this # is associated with T.mobile billing. It's extremely annoying & frustrating no message is left by ph company!! I've been loyal T.mobile customer for about 15 yrs, & for the most part have been treated great when I speak with customer service, especially the last 7+(?) yrs. HOWEVER, ever since they changed the bill due date its been more difficult to pay on time, especially the last 18mos unemployed; BUT I do pay it usually within a week, never more than 15 days. Seems the past few months, since contract changes, I start getting these annoying calls. LEAVE A MESSAGE SO I KNOW WHO YOU ARE DAMMIT!! last 3 times I've looked up I add # to ph list so I'll know who's calling & can answer, but next time calls using different #!?!?!  Collection people need to be more professional, courteous & respectful if they want attention/response! We are all people...YOU (collector) are NOT better than us!!! Look up my payment history the last 7 years before you decide to harass me!! The reminder texts are sufficient, right?!?! ?

This is unbelievable, but I got calls from 800-937-8942. First, I saw the number on the readout a few times, but did not pick up because I thought "telemarketer." Then I decided I better pick up. The  guy was super charming, and as paranoid as I am, several things stuck out for me.

I have been with T-mobile for since the beginning of time, and they've never called me from an 800 number. I get message alerts and email. Also, the guy claimed to "have a credit card on file for  me" ending in "xyz number," but a) I don't use credit cards, and b) I didn't recognize the number at all. It just wasn't one of my debit cards or accounts. He (nicely) offered to "correct" my account information (uh-oh) and even take a "small payment" of $50 and roll over the rest (nice, huh?). Then when I (falsely) said I couldn't find my card, he (nicely) offered to take my direct bank info.

By this time, I'm almost laughing, though it is not much funny, I'm going through some tough times right now. Several times I offered to call T-Mobile back, when I found the info, and he told me (nicely) that he'd hate to see me with my phone cut off (at midnight that very night) when I'm going through such tough times. What a guy. He offered to take the information now and schedule the payment for next week, but by this time, I was pretty sure this was a phishing call. Nice voice, but he had to be a pretty cold number to do this to people.

By the way, I contacted T-mobile, my bill is not due for another 10 days, and the amount the guy had was close but not correct, which concerns me in that he possibly had info from somewhere in terms of what my average bill is. Since I charge some premium things to my phone through google, the amount is never actually the same, so it was a good guess, but no cigar! Last take? Block or ignore these guys.

Hello,
This is T-Mobile.
Would you please pay your bill?
If you do, we promise to leave you alone and this will cost you nothing extra.
We could call after the fact, but we rather be that big' ol fluffy kitty kinda service provider.

It is like your mom all rolled up in a multi-national corporation.

For those of you who feel you have been unjustly charged i want to share a story with you.
I've had t-mobile for over 10 years and most of the time i did not have a problem with them. However their was one time where they had over charged me $193.00.
This had taken place, in 2009 when i changed to an unlimited plan. I specifically asked them is it active today.  They said Yes it is Active that day. Now when your told something like that you have an expectation.
Well when the bill arrived there was 193.00 overage charge on my bill.
So i called customer care who gave the standard line of "it occurs on the next billing cycle". Which i informed then that the service rep i spoke with informed me that it was active that day when i had made the change and i had specifically asked about that because i use my phone for business. So regardless of what your telling me You screwed up by not informing me properly. They still did not give an inch on the issue and continued stating the same thing. So i said "so your basically making me eat the bill? thanks," and the rep replied "Oh i wouldn't look at it that way." and i replied "well how else do you want me to look at it? your trying to force me to pay an extra amount of money when it was you as a company who miss informed me in the first place.  When my Contract is up for review i will be observing this situation very carefully" and hung up.
Now most of us would just pay it and grumble about it, or some of us would not pay it and have it go on there credit report (which causes more problems long term.)  But i used a very different and creative solution I obtained a few years back. I contacted my Legal Shield provider Law Firm here in PA  Welch, Gold, Siegel & Fiffik PC  (Each State has a provider Lawfirm.)  Attorney Foster at the time spoke with me on the matter which they told me to fax over the bill, which i did, and they reviewed it.  They proceeded to write a letter on my behalf to the T-mobile corporate office, and the collections department about my issue. 3 weeks later, I received a copy of the letter written, and a letter with T-mobile as well.
The letter from T-mobile stated " Tmobile records indicate that on 4/4/2009 Mr Berry was informed that hte nation wide unlimited loyalty rate plan was scheduled to be added to his account at the beginning of his next billing cycle, 4/14/09. There fore its T-mobiles position that the airtime overages and applicable taxes totaling 193.56  remain valid. (Yeah ok, You still didn't inform me till i called in and inquired about it but anyways).
The letter continues:
However in appreciation of Mr.Berry's continued Loyalty to T-mobile, on 6/4/2009 a credit in $193.56 Was applied to his account for the above mentioned charges. A refund check should arrive at Mr. Berry's Address of record in five to seven business days. T-mobile regrets to Inconvenience Mr. Berry.

(yes i have a copy of the letters and the check to prove all this).
Your probably wondering how much that letter cost me to begin with.  We all know attorneys cost to much to begin with.  $200- $500?

Try $17.00/month for this kind of service.
So to sum it up $17.00 gave me the access to call to an attorney who answered my questions, reviewed my documents  and also wrote a letter on my behalf, which allowed me to have my $193.56 that i initially paid to keep them off my back, returned to me? That's the power of having access to good legal council.

This is message is to inform you that you do have options, and you do have rights when events like this happen not to spam anyone, but i had to share my own story, of how i handled what i considered an unfair situation. because anyone with a cellphone could have this happen.
So if you would like more information about that you can get that same kind of service to protect your family and rights you can contact me at Andrewberry@LegalshieldAssociate.com or Visit my website at www.greatlegalbenefit.com/andrewberry
