This number is not to Financial Services of America in Warren, MI.  It is actually Financial Education of America, no association to Financial Services of America.  Financial Services of America does not do phone solicitation of any kind.  We work with senior citizens on their financial and retirement needs, annuity accounts, 401k's, etc. to strengthen their retirement financial picture.

It started out like, two weeks ago when they called and said they were offering a gift card of something because I was a Mastercard holder. I told them I had canceled my Mastercard and they were like 'oh sorry, bye' and hung up. They didn't call for about a week, and then the last week, I've gotten about 3-4 calls a day, starting at 7 am and ending at around 9 pm. It's getting a little ridiculous. I haven't ordered anything online so I want to know how they got my information.

Yeah they call me about 6-10 times a day sometimes the calls will be within 15 minutes of each other.. last time I spoke to them on the phone I thought I would be smart and requested they change my # because I no longer use it. Well.. few days later they were calling me again. They don't seem to give up. I've had people call me before and try to scam me telling me I had won a visa gift card for about 1,000$ and when they got to the end asked for my credit card #. When I declined they started cussing me out. Pretty funny in my opinion.

These people keep changing numbers on me also. They were trying to call me from an "Unavailable" number about a month ago. When they tried about 20+ times and I refused to answer, they moved on to some phone # that was showing up as somewhere in Ontario, CA, and of course now this one.

They just called me and I didn't answer, but I called the number right back. The man knew my name right away and told me I won a Wal-Mart gift card and a gas card, but I had to pay $3.95. I said I wasn't interested, and the guy went on to tell me that we are in a recession and I need it. When I asked to be taken off the list, he cut me off and hung up on me. Leave me alone and get a real job.

Guy offered $100 Wal-Mart gift card and some other thing because I am a "valued customer". He said I just needed to pay for shipping, $3.95. Lame. I led him to believe that I was somewhat interested and he was quick to "verify" my personal information. I hung up the phone.

it was like he was dumb in answering any information but still insisted i called bacx to get 1 of 2 free gifts. which he didnt know what it was unless i called him back.
its of course a scam.

Here is a tip for everyone out there also protected by the Federal Do Not Call list. (Make sure you are current - we just listed our numbers again including all mobile numbers while they are covered for most instances here in Illinois.) I agree with the person above - don't hang up, ignore the calls, yell, or make threats. This worked tonight:

I FINALLY got "Jeff" to answer ME when I picked up my phone to this number. I let him give me his lame script about my Mastercard, and how "nothing is wrong with my account, Ma'am." He wanted to send me free giftcards for Wal-Mart and for free gasoline and other potential offers.

I casually asked him who he represented and like I suspected, he said Financial Education of America. I asked what kind of services could they offer someone like me? (I didn't want him to be spooked and hang up before I hit him hard.) He said they had great ways for me to invest and save money, blah, blah, blah. I then asked how he obtained my Mastercard information (i.e. I use this as a Debit/Mastercard from my bank - it isn't an actual credit card from Mastercard Corp.) and he said I made a purchase from one of his partners and I am their preferred client.

I then said, "Well, Jeff, you need to know that I have taken down your name, the name of your company, phone number, and all of the times and dates you've called. Now I am reporting you for consumer fraud and filing a complaint with the FTC for violating the Federal Do Not Call Registry because we're on that list as well. I don't expect to hear from you again. Thank you."

Good Luck!

I used to work at this company when I was in WORK RELEASE, and my record is in check fraud...

So that is the big scare factor #1... 95% of their employees are in one of the 2 female prison work release programs in the Tampa Bay area or in the male/female drug rehab program in St. Pete... so chances are that guy or gal on the phone who has your financial info is a prisoner, or in rehab to keep from going to prison.

If they are just awful to you, find a way to report it to their supervisor... if it is still the same supervisors that I had when I was there, he often called the work release programs when he got a complaint of someone there on work release who was threatening customers, and every one that was in my program ended up going straight back to prison and losing their gain time, (days off for good behavior) when they went back.  I saw it happen to 5 people in the month I worked at that office before I got a legit job at a fast food joint.

As far as the company goes, I don't know where any of the numbers come from, it is on an auto dialer, but when I was there we were doing a student loan consolidation scheme... so this gift card stuff is new to me... but I know it is the same company, I recognize the name, address, and phone number.

DON'T GIVE THESE FOLKS YOUR INFO.  Believe me, one thing they don't tell you, even if they spit out credit card or bank digits, they don't have the whole numbers... plus, when I was there, the things that showed up on my screen was the person we were calling...

I just received a call from this number on my work phone.  The guy said he was with Debit Consolidation Associates of America.  he said that my credit score may have taken a hit due to the high interest charges the various credit card companies are charging.  I checked another website and several people said this was a scam!

I think this all stems from a purchase I made online over a year ago. Since I kept receiving callers that would give me the last 4 digits of my credit card, I reported to my credit card company's fraud department, who closed the account months ago.  I thought I was through with it but I guess not.

they called my cell phone today but only once. i answered and no one was there. i don't know where they got my CELL number, but these phone solicitation companies aren't supposed to phone your personal CELL phone number unless you give it to someone who sold your info to them.

home #s are a different story because they can be found in telephone books and other directories, but cell phone numbers are unlisted. i suggest if you speak with these people, you advise them "you are calling my personal cell phone number, i want to know who sold you my info?" because FCC regulations prohibit auto-dialers from dialing cell phone numbers. Some companies do have loopholes where they now have ACTUAL people with lists of phone numbers to dial... but if no one is on the other end when you answer, I highly suspect it is an actual person dialing.

They only called me once thus far... so I'm not sure what's going on... either way, they're all annoying companies. I don't know how anybody with any glimmer of pride could ever do that as a job. Sickening.

These people are totally sketchy and rude.  I just received a second call from the same number today and decide to answer it.  All I heard was a bunch of rustling around and some voices talking in the background. I said "Who the F*ck is this??" And the stupid b*tch had the nerve to yell at ME! She said I was cussing and called me a little brat!!! Now I am not little nor am I a brat, so after SHE hung up on ME after SHE called ME, I called the number back and the guy who answered the phone answered and used my name before I even said anything. This dude has the nerve to yell at me too!!! Then he gave me some bull about my Visa bank account (which I have so I'm pretty sketched out) and that I got a free 100$ gas card. I said if he decides to call me and yell at me one more time I'd hunt him down and kill him. I'm not sure if that was wise but I was definitely pissed at this point.  DO NOT ANSWER THESE CALLS. JUST REPORT THE NUMBER.

This is total scam selling everything from dental insurance to debt solutions! Based in Florida. I have picked up a couple times and listened to their trash.  You tell them no, but that word doesn't register with them.  You just have to hang up on them to shut them up. I have just stopped answering my phone if I see ANY 800 number. These morons have been calling 4-6 times a day and never leaving a message. Surprisingly a message was left on my phone yesterday from these idiots. When I checked the message it was nothing but noise. The guy (or girl. I HONESTLY couldn't tell) who called me was having a conversation with someone when my voicemail picked up. The conversation went on for 3 minutes before it realized that the call was still going on. They talked about getting days off, going on a date and what to have for lunch. Every other word was F**K and it was the most ghetto sounding garbage I have ever heard. I kept this message and have been letting everyone hear it. I have to say, with how annoying all the calls have been, this was actually pretty funny.

I started receiving several calls on my cell phone from 800-941-0362 on 03/19/09. At 09:11 A.M. on 03/20/08 I was contacted by a hostile woman, no id, demanding that I check my credit cards for the correct last 4 digits. Misrepresenting as Citibank, I verified that I did have this credit card, which the hostile female immediately hung up without explanation. I contacted my bank immediately and spoke to the fraud department. While on hold I researched this phone number on the internet to find to my horror that this was a scam. I immediately cancelled my card for security reasons, as many have found theft from this company. After alerting my bank, I contacted Financial Centers of America to verbally cease all communications as they were in several violations of the law. I informed of my intentions to send in written correspondence to the appropriate agencies to take further actions to insure these violations are addressed.

Violations are as follows:
•    Calling a cell phone without permission, creating additional consumer costs
•    Unauthorized release of confidential information per GLB act.
•    Fraudulent charges without consumer authorization or knowledge
•    Misrepresentation, intentional deception by employees and company
•    Violations of the Federal Do Not Call registry
•    Refusal of employees to identify themselves
•    Refusal of explanations as to why they are gathering confidential information
•    Hanging up without notification of call termination
•    Unprofessional conduct defined as harassment under FDCPA
•    Threatening behavior as defined under FDCPA

This so called company called four times in a three hour span!! I'm a college kid, so ofcourse i'm busy.. but yet they never leave a voicemail or pick up the phone when I try to call back.  On the fourth time they called I answered and they said I recieved a $300 gas card and a free vaction by having a loan through school, so I believed them.  THey also had me verify all of my debit information.. That day I had charges on my account on things that i clearly did not buy!!!! Don't fall for this!!!!
