Called our mid-fl landline at 12.58p on 6/30/14. No msg was left, caller id is "800 Service". We have been harassed many times by this number.
It sounds like these repeated calls has some alleged political connection. So for they have yet to leave a message and I refuse to return their call.
The fact is I do not trust any unwanted call. Nor do I trust politicians as a whole and I don't care what party they represent.
I've gone even further by white-listing (i.e., allowing) the specific numbers I will accept calls from. My life is much less stressful today.
I second Larry's recommendation. The $90 or so is a bargain considering the peace I have enjoyed over several years. A tip I can add is to program it to accept only area codes that you expect incoming calls to come from rather than rejecting groups of area codes you don't want. I don't have that many area codes to program. It makes programming easier.
You're going to let Google know about every call you make and receive? Google will sell your information to the highest bidder. That's how they make their money. (Yes, I block all Google web servers in my firewall.)
Called our mid-fl landline at 10.23a on 6/27/14. This is a repeat call made about an hour after the last call. No msg was left, callr id has changed from an hour ago to "800 Service", which it manifestly is not.
Called our mid-fl landline at 9.41a on 6/27/14. No msg was left, caller id is "Private Number".
Odumbo and the low information voters who voted for him can kiss my a$$. IRS-EPA lost emails, Immigration-invasion, Foreign policy disasters, etc...........The fool is trying to crash the country and morons continue to blame Bush. Just die you stupid old dumb-a**-craps
Caller ID shows "800 Service" and continues calling ..... I do not answer but I would like for the calls to end.
If you have an in home fax machine on the same line wait for the number to show up on caller ID and turn the fax machine on and blast it into the callers ear. After a few times they'll stop.
Carol, you can only dump them by purchasing a call blocker such as the Digitone. It can block specific numbers or block an entire area code. No ring, just piece and quiet. Unfortunately a good call blocker can cost about $90 but the satisfaction of not getting these calls is immense.
Called multiple times by 800-942-1970. Reported to be a political solicitation. Have blocked this number with our call blocker.
Wake up it's not conservatives doing this Now I see why Obozo was elected twice what a fool!
I DO NOT want any solicitation calls from any of them.
Called our mid-fl landline at 12.29p on 6/17/14. They left no msg. Caller id, ironically reads "Private Number'.
I am with Larry from previous posts...Digitone Call Blocker is the best $100 I ever spent..I'm not a shill...just someone who got fed up with effing calls even after being put on the so called "do not call" list...well worth it...just another number to be added to (the many) blocked numbers on my list...thank you Digitone!!
Why do people have to disturb you! Most people know how to pick up a phone to call someone if they need something! Don't call me, I'll call you!
This message came from the Presidential Coalition, which is a political organization. Political organizations, by statute, are exempt from the law (mainly because politicians made the law!). Your best bet is to call back, wait for the opportunity to press number 3 on the list, enter your phone number (I mean, they already have it, you know), and they won't call back.
I've been getting calls from this number night and day for weeks - several times a day. They are the Presidential Coalition - a Republican organization, so they claim, that is trying to get donations. I can't believe ANY national level political organization could be so stupid as to develop themselves as a broad-scale harassment agency in this manner - therefore, I question if this actually came from a Republican or conservative organization at all. Way too fishy to be a bonafide group.
Thanks for the tip.
Called left no message.
It's a political organization called Presidential Coalition.
I'm not political, I don't want them to call me, and I told them so.
Call them back at 800-942-1970 and tell them NO!
Jon, for some reason they think you're a Republican. I get all sorts of junk mail and calls from the Republican Party and conservative causes, because in the last primary election, I voted in the Republican primary. In my state, an independent can vote in either party's primary (but not in both at the same election). I've gotten the same response from the Democratic Party after I voted in a Democratic primary.
They both make the tenuous assumption that all Republicans are conservatives and all Democrats are liberals. They forget about that vast bulk of us who are in the middle.
Sometimes I get an 800 call that's a robocall and is legit, generally a notification from the doctor's office or something I signed up for. In that case, I really do want them to leave a message, so I have a saved copy of it, in case I forget what they said. They're always time-sensitive, so I can delete them later.
If it's not legit, I don't want to talk to them. The point of all this is that you never want to answer them anyway.
I set my phone to announce the number, so I don't have to get up to see the callerID.
You forgot the biggest exception: Calls from criminal organizations. Since they don't mind breaking the law, they'll call you even if you are on the DNC list.
Hello, is atone listening?
I got a call on my office phone. Whomever was on the other ends, hung up when I answered. Collection calls ARE covered by the Do Not Call rules!
Rec'd another call from this #; this time it said TOLL FREE CALLER. We NEVER answer these calls - they are just wasting their time & MY patience by continually calling us! We need a DO NOT SOLICIT Do Not Call List!!!!!!
Great idea, that "do not call registry", works as good as the rest of the gov't.!! I get the same calls everyday, 8 - 8:30 AM.
i love politicians
why yes nEWT
i'd love to stuff some cash up your

Caller ID says; it's "Unavailable". Google says this is a group called Presidential Coalition. Make it stop!
