I do not owe money and should not be getting calls from anyone for that reason.

5 calls to my cell from this number today.  I rarely get "unknown" or telemarketing-type calls as:

1) I'm on the Federal Do Not Call list
2) I'm extremely reticent about giving my cell number out
3) I have no credit cards (sounds weird in this day and age, but true)

I ignored all 5 calls, so I have no info on what they wanted, but whatever it is - smells like phishing.  Or extremely mismanaged, unmonitored, outsourced credit "services".

This is my first post here - 800notes.com is usually the best resource when I do research the occasional unknown call - but it's such a drag when people can't put a sentence together to describe what happens to them.  Texting really has debilitated society's ability to communicate effectively.

I have been getting calls on my cell phone from this number for what seems like MONTHS and they never leave a message. Today alone (which is a SUNDAY) they called at 8:38am, 9:58am, 11:17am, 12:48pm and just now at 1:58pm. They have not left a message once and I think they have also called my parents home number. I don't know who it is or what they want since they never leave a message, but this is REALLY upsetting to be called so often with no message. As I've been instructed by several people, this is actually harassment but I don't even know who it is so I don't know how to go about informing them to stop calling me!

they call each morning and it rings one time and then nothing. I have called back and it is GE Money. I suspect this is a scam and wish someone would stop them. I do have GE Credit, in good standing, and if there is something to say to me as a card holder this is not professional. SCAM!

I received calls from this number several times over a number of days.  I finally returned the call and talked to a gentleman named Marty.  I gave him my last name; it turns out it wasn't a match with the phone number they had on file.  They told me they were looking for a Hispanic man with that number (the only call I had answered was someone who spoke to me in Spanish).  I explained to Marty that I don't speak Spanish and have had my phone number for the past 10 years.  Fortunately, Marty was very polite and informed me that they would remove this number from their records.  That was a week ago; I have not received any calls from this number since my conversation.  So if you get calls from this number and you don't owe anything to GE Capital, it's a pretty good bet that they have outdated information.

They called me concerned with purchases made on a Capitol Card, which i've never owned,  However,
they have dug up enough info though to know my DOB, Cell #, and purchases I made on another card.  The only connection I can make was that she stated the card in question was used at Mall of Lousiana about the same time I did make purchases there and applied and used an American Eagle card.

I don't even have a GE card!

Every time they ask for a number just press 0, after about three times doing this they will connect you to a person. I found this out because they kept calling me and I don't have any accounts through them.

I don't want to receive calls from this number or any advertisers.

I got several calls, called them back, got a person and i just gave them my phone number and name. It was for an Old Navy card. They weren't looking for me, so they said they would take my number off that account.

the number is assigned to different businesses that need to call to remind customers of payments past due.  the number is used for several accounts such as Sears, Amazon, etc.

"CREDIT SERVICES" calls from 800-945-6596.  They call 5 or 6 times a day.  Normally won't leave a message.  The one time they did, was not at all clear what they wanted.  When I answer the phone in an effort to stop their harassment, they expect me to hold until it is convenient for one of their operators to talk to me.  

Absolutely ridiculous harassment.  If I find out a "legitimate" company is behind these calls, I will cease all business with them to ensure I am not rewarding such tactics.

Yes, this is from GE. They have their hands in many pockets, they own my Walmart, Lowes, ABC warehouse, Paypal, and Meijer and Discount Tire. I am sure they own many more, but these I do have.  Fortunatly they weren't even calling for me, they are obviously bad at keeping records since my phone number should have been matched to me, not some random person.  I have had this number for 8 years and for the past week they have been calling around the clock.  They finally asked for a person by name on my machine so I picked it up ready to scream when a really nice older English speaking lady said she was so sorry  , but she had my down for someone else.  She promised to update the records and so far , no calls.

People, this is GE Money - and if you have a paypal credit account, these are the guys that will call you.  This is not a "scam" call to get your personal information.

If this credit services calls my house again on Sunday, they are going to wish they hadn't.

Number info is not given, but it is legitimate. Paypal Smart Connect Credit Line. I was a few dollars short of last month's minimum payment (don't know how I input the wrong amount) and it was added to this month's. The call was from the Rep. asking for payment. I told him that I have always made my payments on prior to the due date. He then explained that I was a $17 short on my last payment, it was added to the upcoming payment and he asked if I wanted to pay the $17 over the phone. I just logged onto my account while I was talking to him to confirm. I told him I was logged on and would make the payment online.

Received a call 8:21 AM Saturday morning, same number, called back, GE Capital - caller was Samon, wanted my name, I, of course did not give name, but gave a very, very  nasty reply. Not very ladylike, but don't like any calls at 8:30 on a Saturday morning, unless it is my family.  Will contact the FCC and report the complaint.  So tired of these calls.  

I received about 4 messages back to back from them in Spanish saying they were a GE Capital Retail Bank & to call them back. Something is wrong with their machine if they are calling that many times. Yes, they seem bogus.

Ihave beengetting calls from this number for months -do not know why as no info is giving when they call -they start at 8:00am in the morning and go till dust every day -  

Call gives much detailed information about GE Capital, but when one attempts to call back the number, it asks for your account number up front. A recording will say they are calling about a debt collection if you hit "9" to get a live person, but it will disconnect without letting you speak to anyone.
