I received one call from an unknown caller, I have straight talk as well and chalked it up to the fact that I have an att SIM card. All they asked were questions of quality of phone calls etc, then they said that for complete in the call they are giving me 20 for next month, and they need the last four digits of SSN I'm pretty scared right now.

AT&T Wireless with a courtesy reminder that my bill was overdue, which it was. To insure it was NOT a scam, I accessed my AT&T account from the Internet (not my phone), paid my bill, and called this number back and asked if the payment had posted. It had. I then asked for the Confirmation number that I received in my email confirmation of my payment. It matched. No scammer would have that number.

Dial 611 on your AT&T phone and deal with their customer service, including billing, that way.
Make sure you're dealing with AT&T and not some fraudster.

It's AT&T. I checked my account on line and underpaid my bill by mistake. They were calling to let me know I still had a balance. It's not a scam. They have a collections department that calls that is separate from the Customer Service department. One doesn't speak to the other so they wouldn't have a history of the call. Incidentally, Cingular used the same collection service.

Do NOT Fret, it's a courtesy call from AT & T before they shut your phone off. Call them and set up a payment arrangement for even a couple weeks out, they are actually trying to help save you $40!!!
