My employer provides an incentive of a small monthly percentage off my health insurance premiums to sign up with Stay Well and be counseled on health issues that I identified for them during a survey.  These are not random calls or autodialers etc etc.  Most likely they got your number through your employer.

If they are professional, why do they call and not leave a message, and why is their Caller ID blocked?  Very annoying, just like the Competitive Edge that Cox uses to see how their techs did.  They call and their system hangs up on MANY people when they answer the phone.  I asked the rep why they don't fix that, and he said he would pass my comments up the line.

I signed up for a wellness program.  We have a phone appointment once per month about weight control which of course means nutrition and excerise.  I missed my appointment last week so she left a voice mail to reschedule.  I agree with others that say it is either something you signed up for through health insurance (lowers my rates) or something that they want to talk you into.  It is part of the health insurance and not an extra charge..... so no scam involved here unless health is a scam.

Event Reminder
These calls are legitimate.  They are from health counselors for preventative/stay well programs that you or your employer/insurance provider have signed you up for.  If you think they are calling in error, just answer the call & let them know that. They do not just call random numbers--only those that have been provided to them.  As for calling them back, yes it you may be on hold for a while, if you don't know your particular health advisor's extension or name.

This is a call from a Stay Well program that some employers participate with. For example, I signed up for healthy nutrition, and they call me every 2 weeks, by my request, to talk through my meal strategies, etc. Same person, located in the USA. Unles 800 #'s are associated by state, this one is legit and has your numer for a reason.

My wife has me on her insurance and these people will not stop calling us. I have Diabetes and the insurance company shared my info with these tele-marketers and they won't take no for an answer. I have the BEST endo in the state and I do not need advice from some tele-marketer reading a cue sheet. Leave me alone !!!

It's a corporate health care program called Stay Well.  They call me only during the hours I specified in my original sign up.  I and others at my company have found them to be very professional, and we have been compensated by our company for finishing programs provided by Stay Well.  Betsy's statements are uninformed at best.

I tried to call the number and it rings busy, the only message i get from this number on my VM is the very ending saying we look forward to your call. and no call back # or anything else. They call me at 10pm at nigiht akll the time and its an annoyance to my family. I did not sign up for their help. I go to my dr to get professional help not talk to some joe over the phone about my personal business,.,. that person on the phone does not know me and god knows who they are. I rather see the person face to face.

I recently started a new job that offers an incentive to use this Wellness for Life Program. My company still pays for my health insurance and the coverage is not diminished in any way. I have not been told not to go to the doctor. The service is a way to ask questions if I need before going to the doctor and to get information on starting an exercise program safely.

Hmmmm...well, I think I would disagree with just about every statement in your paragraph.  You are mis informed and passing along bad information.

This company is called Stay Well.  They are a professional company hired by corporations to give guidance to employees on minor health issues.  They are not a substitute for a doctor, but instead schedule calls with employees who have signed up for the stay well program to help them make better health decisions BEFORE they have to go the doctor.  Most corporations do this to try to SAVE the employees and themselves money.  There is absolutely every incentive to participate.  I didn't have any trouble reaching the company by dialing this number.

the number is from a health guidence corporation who supposedly has health coaches. If you have a life-long issue like Asthma or diabetes they cannot really help. . they are not professional DOCTORS> it is a way that your employer keeps you from seeing a doctor. they do not have real medical qualifications. This company charges your employer way more than your employer would pay your medical fees. Another example of where your employer tries to save a few bucks down the road at YOUR expense. They are like the company in India or China who only has a few answers off a script for your problems. Pathetic and it's is obvious why you cannot find ANY information on this company by reversing the phone number. THEY DONT WANT YOU TO KNOW WHO THEY ARE>  Beware of this company!!
