The company called me at work and in my haste I agreed to the magizines.  Once home I thought it over and changed my mind.  I told them the next day to cancel and they didn't said I agreed to not cancel within 30 days.  Now they are telling me I owe 724!

I've called my lawyer.  Stay away!

They called me at work and wouldnt take no for an answer and said they would give me a few magazines for free to see if i liked them.  Now they want $730 from me.  They call me 2 times everyday on my cell and used to call me job. A guy named Jeff that is supposed to be an auditor for a James Lawrence's Office keeps calling but give PBS's number.  It's them calling and not a collection agency...It's just their scare tactic. Just don't give them any information about yourself and hang up the phone

I received a call from this number regarding transferring a credit card balance. When I tried to find out more regarding this I was given the name of Matthew to call back. When I did the company dis-avowed any knowledge. After reading the comments posted, I'm certain that they are involved in credit card fraud.

They first of all a guy named Jeff called my phone leaving a very urgent message but it sounded fishy because it was a 1800 number and they didnt say what it was in regards to. Then, I never heard of PBS, ever! About three months ago they started sending me letters that I owe money for magazines. For one, I don't receive any type of magazines for anything and they keep demanding payments and payment info. PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION EVEN IF THEY ASK TO COMPARE IT TO WHAT THEY HAVE ON FILE. THEY HAVE NOTHING BUT YOU'RE NAME AND NUMBER.

This company has been harrassing me for 3 years. I fell into their scheme once and have since paid off and cancelled all magazines through them. However, I keep getting bills at my work stating that I have an account and today I just received a call at my work regarding payment. I have called and spoke with a manager well over a year ago and he threatened me as well and told me he had a recording of me agreeing to the terms. I asked to hear the recording and it was another woman who had the same last night (which happened to be my maiden name and I was married at the time). He then went on to let me listen to all of her personal information (address, phone number, etc.). I am at my wits end and do not know what to do. I paid off my balance with them almost 2 years ago. That manager said it was a mistake and said they would clear this up, but they are still harrassing me at work.

so what do we do? everyone has the same story, myself included. I feel cheated but what is there that we can do? I'm thinking I'm going to dispute the charges with mastercard. I foolishly gave them my debit card number so now they have a way to bill me. I don't know what else there is to do. I filed a BBB complaint, but really didn't have a lot of information that they were asking for. This place is really horrible, I don't know how they could do this to people.

I'm in the same boat as many of you people. They called me at work and asked me to take a survey (which I thought was work-related), and after we finished that, she gave me the sales pitch. Not wanting to totally waste the woman's time, I agreed to get more information about the offer (or so I thought). Next thing I know, I'm getting invoices and magazines accompanied by phone calls telling me I owe them money, and that I couldn't cancel. Due to my work schedule I missed most of their calls, but the ones I did talk to were rude and abrasive. This past week, I received another phone call, and started getting into it with him, and he switched me over to another rep while I was in the middle of talking! Fortunately for me, this one was much easier to talk to, and an actual professional. He played for me a tape of the conversation that started all of this, and it did have me agreeing to the deal, but he noted that it didn't sound like I wasn't on the same page as the rep, and we worked out a deal to where I would only pay a fee of $61.70, and I would only get magazines for this year, and basically pay for their cost. I set another date to set up the payment (since I was at work), and when they called that day, it was the same guy I had spoken to that was rude enough to switch me in the middle of the conversation! When I kept trying to check to see if the deal was still in place and that I wanted to pay by check, he kept insisting that I pay by credit/debit, and that if I paid by check, I would have to pay late fees. I ended the conversation, completely frustrated with this company. Even when I do play ball (and after reading the numerous complaints on multiple websites, feeling extremely stupid for doing so), they do nothing but anger me.

They asked me to do a quick servey and actually told me that the magazines were free and that the only thing they ask of me was to tell people about it. then they called me again at work and asked me that they wanted to charge me late fees for the magazines that they said it was free. then the next week the same person talked to me again and i asked them to cancle what ever they wanted to sell and then they simply said we cannot do that. and that theywanted to charge me for a years worth of magazines that arent even here and that it would take around an estimate of 9 months to receive for a year. and they wanted me to pay a cancliation fee for over $250. this sounds like a scam already!

Now they keep calling me at my job when I specifically told them not to call there anymore! Now they're sending the stupid magazines to my job wen i don't want them! I'm goin to report them to consumer affairs! Its getting ridiculous! They're threatning me that its goin to affect my credit and dat they're going to contact my employer

This is basically what happened to me.  They seem to have tricked me into a magazine deal with them. I don't even recall when I said I agree to any certain payment, but I don't want to hurt my credit so this is all just so rediculous.

I have received several calls from this company asking me to buy their magazines! They always call at work! I did agree to it initially, and paid a lot of money for a lot of magazines I didn't want. They refused to change my order to magazines I actually read. After that order was paid for, I have received several more calls wanting me to order more magazines. My answer is always no! No I have received a call left on the answering machine at work from someone claiming to be with the credit card fraud division of a company I have never heard of. When I googled the number I came to this page, where I find out it's really the fraudulent magazine company! So the lady who called me AT WORK with a "very important call" lied to me! Not cool!

This all sounds so familiar.  I've received dozens of magazines that I never agreed to get, and now they're threatening to damage my credit.  They have my place of work, plus my position and how long I've worked there as that was a part of the "survey".  Anyone know credit law well enough to tell me if they can do that or not?  They expect me to pay over $800 over a period of 3 or 4 years.

They called me at work as well and started asking me these survey questions and I told them that I was busy and it was inappropriate to call people at their places of business. Then I started getting magazines sent to me and now they're calling my cell phone and I'm assuming asking for money (I haven't answered the phone yet, but the lady that called left a voicemail with this phone number which I googled and ended up here, saying "I need to speak with you within 48 hours.") I'm just wondering... or what? I didn't agree to anything nor did I give them any information, so I don't know how they're doing this or why they think they're entitled to money. *sigh* As if I didn't have enough BS to deal with.

They sent me a post card as well.  I refused to give them my home phone number since they harassed me at work.  I simply told them over the phone they are not allowed to call my place of work and if they do I would have to get corporate involved, the calls stopped.  Now they are asking for money and sending me magazines.  In no way did I agree but hey free magazines!

These people have no scruples at all! They keep using different people to call me at work, claiming that I "ordered" mags from them.  Who needs that crap?  If I want to read what is in a mag, I read it online.  Maybe that's why the publishing industry is utilizing these sharks. Lame-O!

I was double teamed by this "company". First they claimed to have spoken to me at home and then they called me at work and said they had been given a "referral" to the business. I am not sure who sold my info that included my home and work numbers but I have refused to deal with them either way.  Now they are sending postcards saying I need to "contact them immediately".  I consider this harrassment. Telling me I'M the criminal?!?! Farizzle.
