It's Discover Card. Their customer service refuses to remove my number from the list, claiming that they don't know what it's about.

They keep calling me to thank me for my payment, in the same five-day period that they dropped my credit limit by 87 percent even though I've never missed a payment.

They call me multiple times a day even though I keep pushing 1 and listening to their thank you message. Discover just keeps calling and calling. Time to look for a new credit card company!

The message played quick and the system did not announce who they were what they wanted and went on requesting personal information, it was looking for my zip code!!!   It said it was not a sales call but had an offer that would apply to me. Personal information is not something I going to give up at the first inquiry!!!!  I thought it was running a “phishing scam” so I entered 00000000000000000 for the zip code and it connected me with some guy, in some call center, in the middle of the earth somewhere. He at least apologized a little and said they were from Discover Card, and then he started to ask me for personal information. I stopped part way and said I will call “them” back using the customer support phone number printed on the back of my card.

It’s time to start looking for a new CC company buy I was looking anyway.....

Discover Card.  Needed to verify phone number and inquire as to whether to continue with automatic payments.

No idea who it is, but they've been calling 3 times a day, every 3 days, like clockwork, for about 2 weeks now.  Naturally they've never left a message.  I don't have a Discover card account so if it's actually Discover they have me confused with someone else (more likely answer: it's a scam).

It IS Discover card calling regarding an offer on the card.  In my case, it was to lower my interest rate if I was to sign up for Auto-Pay for 12 months.  I actually called the 800 number on my card and then did a THREE WAY CALL with Discover to the 800 number...however, after inputting my phone number at the first prompt, I did nothing.  The call then dropped into their delinquent department (which we're still not sure how that happened), AND, the woman I called from Discover CONFIRMED that the 2nd party I was talking to (three way) from the in question 800 number WAS in fact a Discover Card representative.  So, in short, the number IS legit...BUT, it is a telemarketing call from Discovers Automated System

I've received at least 15 calls from this number in the past couple of weeks.  Sometimes an automated message is left, sometimes not.  I do have a Discover account, but there are no problems with my account and the recording says that the call is regarding "an offer" rather than an issue with my account. I'm getting tired of the calls, though.  Not sure whether calling Discover will help.

Repeated called me throughout the day.  It got very annoying, but I didn't know the number and refused to answer.  I looked it up online and found that it was Discover.  I have an account with them so I checked it and everything was fine.  They have no reason to call me.

Received 3 calls from this number.  I didn't answer/pick up the call for fear it is some kind of prison call waiting for me to press the specified numbers to pay for their long distance calls.  I didn't recognize the number so I didn't call back.  Automated voice requested me by name.  I still wouldn't trust to call back and press any kind of keys.

Discover Card. Apparently they have an automated system that calls out and gives messages to people. When the system asked to verify my personal information, I waited until the automated system forwarded me to an operator to talk to. I then asked the operator who the system was calling for (as it never identified it was Discover) and why. The operator was able to help me resolve the reason why the system was calling, but she did have to look up why the systems was calling me.

Automated system asks for George somebody. Gives you only 3 option:
press 1 if you are George,
press 2 if you're not George but will go get him, and
press 3 if he's not available.
No other options given.

I think this is a reuse to get you on the phone for a telemarketer.

How about a 4th option: YOU HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER SLEEZE-BALL!
