Yes, these jerks have been calling my number for a long time too-- asking for somebody who's never lived here and has never had this number. It's clearly a fishing-expedition on their part, trying to spook me into calling them, so that they can harvest my information. Luckily, I work during the day, so I am never home to actually receive these calls.... and I too find it hilarious that they think "By listening to this message, you acknowledge you are [fake name]" would ever stand up in court. xD By not answering, I acknowledge nothing. Hitting the Delete button on my answer-machine is no trouble, so they can keep calling into a vacuum until they get tired.

I called them back and gave them my phone number (the rep demanded my name, address, etc - which I would NOT supply, if legit this information should have displayed when I supplied my number) - the rep would not give any information including if they had the correct number and if my number was even in their system.

In light that CMS could or would not provide any information, I DEMANDED they remove my phone number from their calling list and that any further calls and/or contact would be considered harassment of uninvolved or non-party, and in turn reported to my and their States Attorney General's Office, Secretary of State's Office, and to each state Better Business Bureau in which Capital Management Services has offices. I also have also already reported them to the Do Not Call list - which in this case is legitimate since I have no business with this organization and CMS would/has not supply information, written or verbal. I ever received any written communication.

I don't owe money, and I don't play find-the-lady games with these slip-shod organizations when they go on "fishing trips".

Received a call from an auto-dialer telling me to call this number back.  Did so immediately and insisted on being put on their do not call list.  The woman answering wasn't interested in doing that and asked if this is how I conduct myself on the phone.  I demanded her supervisor and she told me to call back and ask for a supervisor.  She eventually did transfer me to one when I told her that I knew this call was being recorded.  The supervisor picked up and I repeated my demand.  He said they weren't selling anything and the do not call does not apply (lie) and I told him several times to add this number to their list.  He finally relented when I told him the person he was trying to reach is not at this number.

I recently got a new cell number and keep getting calls from this 800-960-2185. I called them back, seems they're a collection agency and the person who had my number before is in default on a bill.

This is the third phone number that Capital Management has called me from.  They are trying to find someone that does not have this phone number anymore.  Actually, it's been 4 years since this person has had this number. Anyway, I have told them nurmerous times that they have the wrond number.  It took 3 times with the first phone number they were calling from and then they stopped for 2 weeks. Then they started calling from another number and again told them to stop calling me. Well here we go again. Another phone number. This time I am reporting them. I've had enough.

I received a phone call from this number...they left a recorded message stating the name of whomever they are looking for (who does not live at this number)...I called them back to let them know it had been a wrong number and to please take us off the list.  Though the person was nice enough, I received another call like the previous one today, same name stated even, so clearly my "callback" didn't take.  annoying.  and creepy.

This company calls me once a day looking for the person who had this number before me.  It is now my fax number that has a distinctive ring so I know not to even run to the phone for it.  It is a prerecorded message that states the name of the person they are looking for and that there will be a 3 second delay for me to hang up if I am not that person.  After the 3 seconds they say again who they are looking for, that this is an attempt to collect debt, and that by letting the phone message go through, I am acknowledging that I am the person they are looking for.  They must think I am stupid and this will scare me because even though I am home at laugh at their voice mail, what if I was at work?  Then the phone would ring any way.  I'd sure like to see that claim hold up in court.  Any way, I never answer, listen to the message, and then laugh.  I figure 4 rings is a minor annoyance, true, but no matter how long they try to call and get me to answer the phone, I can easily outlast them.  I like laughing and these people are definitely laughable.

I called, they looked me up, had the wrong number, corrected the problem immediately, and were nice about it.
