News Release ? Attorney General?s Office
May 23, 2014

Contact:
Janet Murnane
Consumer Assistance Program
(802) 656-3183

The Vermont Attorney General?s Office is warning Vermont businesses about a phone call or email from an out-of-state business asking the local business to donate money to support the area school by paying for an advertisement that that they will place on a full-color homework folder that will be provided to students free of charge. The out of state business is trying to collect money from local businesses far in excess of the cost of the ?folders? that it may actually deliver to the school. Businesses are advised to be wary about contributing to this type of promotional scheme.

There may be more than one out- of-state business using this scheme. Some business names currently being used are ?PNM?, Production Network Media, and ?PMC?, Production Media Company. Previously, ?American Youth Group? and ?Student Relations Inc.? have used this scheme to raise money.

If your business has been a target, please make a complaint to the Consumer Assistance Program. You may use the on-line complaint form on our website, www.uvm.edu/consumer or send a written complaint to the following address: Consumer Assistance Program, 146 University Place, 103 Morrill Hall, UVM, Burlington, VT 05405.

I worked for this company a year ago and another ex employee showed me this site get the word out  it is a SCAM!!! I stop working there due to the fact that no one wants this ball of crap and people are not getting what they pay for. The office was very UN professional no organization. The employees make a lot of money if they sale and local  business are not getting published in these wonderful folders! Joke. Stay away and put the word out to your fellow business friends.

HANG UP!!!  I stupidly purchased advertising in their folders to be distributed to local realtor offices.   I purchased this back in November 2013 - it is now April 2014 and I have nothing.    I am now out $770 because I purchased 24 months of advertising.   Try calling this company and the receptionist puts you right into voicemail.   Spoke an arrogant condescending individual there today (after calling 5 times) and they will not refund my money!!!   Called my credit card company and was told I am past the 60 day window to dispute the charges.    Filed complaints with the BBB, Oregon Consumer Complains Fraud Division, Ripoff Report and Yelp!    So take some advice, HANG UP AND RUN AWAY!!!

I returned a call from ?David? about an ?agent referral program?. It was about buying ad space on folders for a large Beaverton Brokerage. I found out later they had no idea who they were.

The caller was trying to pressure us into buying space and eventually hung up on me when I asked a couple questions and told him it would have to be run by our manager who was on vacation. He said it would be too late because there were others interested that were going to be calling back with credit card payments. The whole thing made me suspicious and I thought it sounded scamy. I googled the number and it brought me here. I found out he has contacted other people at our company as well.

These/This company rides on the coat tails of honest companies offering scams, and we all wish they would die already, STOP TRYING TO SCAM US.

They called me last year. I signed up, I didn't get business, found out it was NOT FOR THE WHOLE OFFICE, only one agent.   I should have read this first.  The one agent,  was for in Vancouver never returned my calls, I dont even know if she ever got it.  Anyways, they called me 2 days later and tried to offer me a free year for the office in vancouver if I bought one more I said I wanted to see how this one works. If the first one does not get me any business what's the point of two.  Anyways Glendoveer golf course called me, and 10 seconds later another golf course called and gave the EXACT SAME STORY about buying another golf course and free years and blah blah blah, I asked for my money back for everything, then read this, and read everything about benchcraft, now I have been took for $750 dollars.  I am sure there are honest companies that sell ads, but im not dealing with anyone over the phone ever again.  These two companies are an absolute RIPOFF and the owners shouls be imprisoned for white collar crime.  I am a nice guy, why would jesus let them do this to me over and over again, im not made of money, just trying to get more business and they keep taking advantage of me.

If it within 90 days call your bank and report the charges as a fraud.  If that does not get your money back it will at least look bad for their processing company.  Call the Attorney General and report them, write a review on yelp, and the BBB. Don't give up.

I have done this with other companies in the past and it has been fine, I am a property inspector and it has never not paid for itself plus some.  This company does not actually produce anything. They should be called "non producing media"  or "Stealing people's money with promises of producing media". With a little digging I was able to find the owners home address i believe. http://www.bizapedia.com/or/PRODUCTION-MEDIA-COMPANY.html  It looks like they have been doing this for a few years now. How can our government let them do this.  Their are other companies that provide media to real estate offices that actually produce my ad in the product. It is companies like this and benchcraft that are going to make me hang up on everyone who calls me from out of state.  I looked into the claim on page 2 that this is the same company as benchcraft and they are not owned by the same people.  But, I get they are best friends and share employees,.  THEY ARE GOING TO WISH THEY WOULD HAVE GIVEN ME MY MONEY BACK.  ##################SCAMMERS###########

Well if someone who works for the scamming company says it is legit, them it must be.  Hey Jeni,  then why do your people call and say they are from Berkshire Hathaway Realty, looking for an interior designer.  When I call back the 800 number, he left,  they answer with a completely different name.  Dylan said he was from Carson Ca. right there on Carson st, yeah right.  but yet the number he called from says he was calling from Oregon!  TOTAL SCAM!  PS Dylan is at extension 1025 and was stuttering and stammering so much that it was obvious that he forgot what he was supposed to say.      You might want to verse him better on the scam.

3 years ago i fell for the benchcraft thing.  They called me 10 minutes after i bought it, and offered me some crazy deal that was too good to be true, all of these free years if I agreed to buy one more due to some issue with some one on an ad mot being reputible enough to be on the course and he needed to be refunded but they needed one more score card sponsor right away to produce it,  I dont know if there ever was a score card but I never saw any business out of it and I dont golf, these people will offer you the EXACT SAME DEAL  15 min after you buy. it has to be the same company right>?

did i get scammed again?

This is not a bad form of advertising if the company is honest and is actually working on behalf of who they say they are working on behalf of.  if it seems to good to be true, maybe it's not. Find out who the contact is that they have in your local office, verify that this will be for the whole office and not just one agent. make sure that the broker/owner/office manager knows the people are selling ads in their media, ask if they think you will get business out of it. READ all the reviews on any company you are going to give money to B4 you give them money.  If you have a bad experience with giving some random telephone salesman money and all the signs in your head and online said it was a bad idea, and you neglected to listen to them and do any research you have no on to blame but your self, in this day in age dont trust anyone until they give you a reason to trust them.  it's not the 60's anymore, or if you just need a write off and dont care. then pass out your cc# to anyone who calls.

I was contacted by the company, I have not bought yet, I have not made up my mind, I just don't know if I can cough up the $375 as of yet. I am a new business.  Reading through this page is rather funny to me. I am well aware of how advertising works, and to me it really seems that most of the notes on here are made by idiotic receptionists who really don't know how things work.  Real estate companies do not solicit people them selves they are busy selling houses and gouging people for 6%. (Dirt Bags)  How ever they are in the position to refer a lot of work out to some one who does interior and exterior painting like my self.  A real estate company will call a company like this, have them put together some type of pamphlet that gets handed out to clients. The advertising company will provide the pamphlet to the real estate office for free in the agreement that they will sell ads on it.  This is a great way for businesses to get in front of their target demographic, provided that the media does actually do get produced and the realtors actually hand it out.  I did this same project in Atlanta. Once it was produced (it was a different company altogether) it took about 2.5 months, I went down to the real estate office and it was a great foot in the door and an opportunity to sell my self.  I introduced my self to all of the agents, dropped off a stack of business cards, and dropped back by 6 more times over the course of 4 months. Before i knew it I was pretty much employed by the REMAX office. I would go out to dinner with the agents and we remain friends to this day.  After moving to the Chicago Area, I was contacted by this company.

I am rambling. The point of my story i guess is that stupid receptionists should not be allowed to write reviews on telephone solicitors because they are not educated enough to do so, and believe it or not it can ruin an honest companies reputation.  If my receptionist was caught doing this crap... I would break her fingers.  Kind Regards, Reggie

I got the same call yesterday and signed up with them for $395. I later found out it was a scam and called American Express so I will get my money back. I am friends with Debbie in this office so I just thought it was her that referred me. I spoke with her later that evening and she knew nothing about it. The guy at the company called me back stating he was with Prudential Worldwide. The number that came up was Production Media Co. After I told him this number came up he told me he was with Production Media Co....not Prudential Worldwide. I filed a complaint with American Express. These guys are a scam. They must be calling all the vendors in this office.

They called me and offered an exclusive listing as the referred contractor for a local real-estate company with a spot in their brochures for a year at a cost of $375. The brochures didn't appear after 6 months and the real estate office doesn't acknowledge the arrangement. They are crooks and I have filed a complaint with the Oregon Attorney General as I would suggest other victims do. They have an on-line complaint form that is very user friendly.

I got a call from this same number from a woman named Rachel Felix asking if I wanted my Mary Kay business to be put in an ad that realtors hand out(for $375). She even mentioned the city I live in so I at first thought it was legit. Then I looked up the number and found that other people have been scammed.
