Keeps calling my cell phone. No I.D. except the number.

They called my cell phone. I did not answer as I did not know who they were. I saw this on google: I get everything from American Financial to Capital Financial card. I called them back and got a busy signal after calling several times. Weird.

Theve called me hundreds and hundreds of times, the guy on the other end (not racist at all) But he sounded african american, said they were a company that helps people restore there credit by working to remove negative things from your credit report, like unpaid medical bills, and judgments and things, so being that i have BAD credit i listened to him and he continues to tell me that he could get my credit back to almost perfect within 6 months and all they charge is 59.99 a month, and he needed a credit card number or checking acount numbers, I told him not until he answers some questions and asked him, Isnt the only way you get bad stuff off your credit is to PAY it off or get a lawyer to do bankruptcy?? I mean how is 60 dollars a month going to clear my 10's of thousands of debt in 6 months, HE HUNG UP!! THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM hang up immediatly and repoet them to Better Buisness Berue and Phone companys Ive also repoted to the police. BE CAREFUL, they still try to calll me just with different people.

They will not stop harassing me.

They called me and asked for my account information. I know that they are bogus. I was stupid and gave them my info. This is pitiful.

be carefull on these people....they called and new personal info and even my bank...i wanted to know who they were and they told me they had a web site which i could not locate...they wanted to debit my checking account and i told them no..strange thing is i went to use my bank card tonight having knew i had money in my account and the bank would not let me use it...i am fearful that they have cleaned my account out...if you get calls from this company turn them into the authorities....i am in the morning and i am calling the Better Business authorities as well...they are a scam and need to be stopped.

I continually get calls from this number. I have asked them remove my name from their database. I would simply suggest adding your number to the do not call registry. Additionally, I am trying to reestablish credit; but from now on if I apply for anything, I will offer a voice mail only number. We have to learn to share as less info as possible.

One day I started receiving calls from all sorts of 1800 #s so I started google-ing them and found this site. This one is for some loan or credit card offers.  They call my cell several times daily and never leave a message. I started calling them back and asked to be removed from their calling lists and the calls are starting to stop.

Said they were american financial.  tried to verify info and i hung up.  i called them back to see if the company was legit, they had another a***ole to answer.  i looked up the company, call them and they said that the company that called me was a scam. Scary because they knew my address.

And I am far from dumb the caller was very polite kind gave me one website about grants that checked out and I just really got caught up in the moment I was dealin with my kids while tring to talk to when I got a min to myself and started recaping on both conversation it started to make me wonder and then worry thats why I tried first googleing his name cause he did give me a full name then the company name he gave me then the # and im really scared now!

Your post sounds like your making up a great story or your really dumb.

Oh MY LORD!!!!!! I got a call well several on my cell and they always hungup on me # 18009636230 and so i thought maybe a bill colector or something well i called the # back from another phone and They said they was with American Finance and i'd been approved for some type of unsecured credit card well when it got to the part of my account and routing # i got kinda leary and he was like well.......... just think about it and give us a call back.
well then he went on to start talking about grants for school and and how he has been doing it for 6 years and he really caught me up in the hole conversation n short I gave him my name first and last my kids 1st name and the city n state i live in I am so terrified what should i do!!!!!!!!
I talked to him more than once even gave him my yahoo id and my myspace id he said he was going to send me links to for some more on college information and grants of that sort!!!

Call the phone co., police and FBI and report them.

they called like 8 in the morning, i missed the call but didn't bother to call them back....after the whole day went by, i had atleast 4 missed calls all from them...i called the number back and they said "american financial, can i help you?" i asked what business they were and why they call me, the person said he did need some banking info such as my account number and routing and such but i refused to give it so they hung up but continue to BOTHER me.how could we get our numbers off their system?

This is a scam supposedly offering an unsecured credit card to people who are establishing or re-establishing their credit.

They ask for your checking account number and routing numbers, then charge you $200.00 for "gift vouchers". When you receive your card, it's good to purchase things from a CATALOG ONLY.

These people keep calling me and the guy asked me to verify my address and I asked him if I applied for something with this company & he hung up.. I called back to get my number removed frm their system and he asked for my name and hung up

These people are full of B.S. They wont stop calling me. They claimed that i was approved for a huge line of credit. He told me they got my information from a lender that denied me previously. When i simply asked the man i was speaking to if he could send me some info in writing he started getting irrated. He kept asking me to give up my routing and account number getting nastier by the min, i finaly told him where he could stick it and hung up . THEY STILL CALLL!!! BEWARE!!!!

Could you get AT&T to block the caller? If so, how did you go about doing it? I tried to get them to block a caller earlier today and they said something about not having the technology to do it (makes no sense to me, since the plan actually says something about that being one of the things you can do). With this particular number, no one would say anything when I answered the phone, it just hung up. When I called the number back, the person I spoke to said that it was probably the computer hanging up and she put me on the do not call list. I haven't heard from them since.

BE AWARE! I've been getting calls on my cell phone like 10xs a day so i finally got a hold of the company and they are American Financial. When i called to get my phone number off their list they tried telling me i needed to give them my social security number!! What ever i flipped out and then they just asked for my number so they better stop calling me unless they want to pay my cell phone bill!

They Keep calling and calling and calling and they wont stop calling, no matter how many times I hang up, Im calling my cell phone company to block this number...

They won't stop calling

Received a call from this number on my cell phone.  "Pam" identified herself from American Financial.  She advised she was going to verify my information.  i asked her was this in relation to a loan application?  she said, yes "a" lender had denied me and referred my information to them.  I asked twice who the lender was, and she hung up.

This people called me 4 times. They are from American Financial.  I asked them to stop calling, but they continue to call.
