Columbia House DVD trying to upsell.

QUIT CALLING!!  If it's that important.... leave a message-- better yet, give me your home phone and cell phone numbers so I can keep calling and harassing you!!!

keep getting calls from this number.
I do not know who's calling as I do not answer the phone when this number calls. I would like to know who it is.

(1) Call the number and ask who they are
(2) They'll tell you their BMG/Columbia House
(3) Tell them you've been receiving calls
(4) They'll ask if you are already member. SAY YES. If they don't ask, tell them that you are ALREADY a member.
(5) When they ask for your Member Number, say you don't have it right now.
(6) They'll ask for your name and zip - give them JUST THAT AND NO MORE.
(7) Make sure you threaten them that if they don't stop calling you, you will cancel your membership.
Unfortunetly, it will take 30 days to be put on their do-not-call and will last 5 yeears before they start calling you again.

They were calling up to 20 times a day.. I'm in agreeance.. leave a message

This number has been calling my home and when we finally picked up too see whay the number that we did not reconize calls our home multiple times every day for about four days, they hung up when I said Hello.

MY NUMBER IS ON THE  "DO NOT CALL LIST!"
1-800-966-6214  HAS BEEN HARASSING ME FOR OVER A MONTH.
REPEATED REQUESTS TO STOP CALLING HAS BEEN TOTALLY IGNORED.

MY BABY NEEDS MY ATTENTION...I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR HARASSING, ANNOYING PHONE CALLS FROM THESE "STUPID MORONS!!!!!"

I WANT THESE CALLS STOPPED NOW!   THEY CALL WAY PASSED 9:00 AT NIGHT.

I DO NOT KNOW WHY THEY ARE CALLING....I OWE THEM NOTHING.

they called and asked for me and i said she's not jome and then they asked for my husband.  they have no right to keep calling and i want them to remove my number from their lists.

I just checked the caller ID.  I have received 13 calls since 04-04-08.  Ten of those calls have been sine 04-08-08.  When I called them back to get me to put my number on the do not call list.  The lady was rude and said she couldn't take if off her list without information.  I told her the only information she needed was the phone number and to remove it immediately.  I too was told it would take 30 days.

I also get calls atleast three times a day. Every phone call, they wake up my babies! MORNING, AFTERNOON NAP TIME , AND BED TIME. I AM GETTING REALLY PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This # has been calling my work for months and months. They would never say anything when I answer, they would just hang up.  When I would call back it would just ring forever.  I finally got thru today and it is Columbia house and they said that they would place me on their do not call list.  You can also go to www.donotcall.gov and enter in your name on the do not call national registry.  I personally did both.

We are on Do Not Call list so I don't understand why we keep seeing this # on Caller ID, especially if it is from BMG...despicable.

They just Kept calling and calling, and i kept hanging up with no hello, finnally i answered and they said they were BMG/Columbia House .
So i said
"Oh - is this about the law suit ? My lawyer says im not supposed to talk to you"

I've received several calls from this number.  I called it back and it is BMG/Columbia House.  I no longer hold an account with them and am on the Do Not Call List.  But apparently, businesses that you once did business with you can call for a period afterward even if you are on the DNC list.

Auuuggghhhh  They keep calling.  I don't owe them money and they won't answer when I call them back!!  What do they want?

I received the call everyday once or twice in the evening, I never answer it.  How can make them stop?

I actually call for this company. I truly believe that columbia house and BMG both are scammers. It is rediculous how many times we call people after they say no. They DNC list is a joke, we are required to give a response that goes like this for FTC regulations " I apologize for any inconvience. In complience with your request we will remove your number from our promotional call list. It does take 30 days for your request to be processed completly. Any questions call 1-800-966-6214." Really I apologize, there are alot of good people out here that do this job because they hit up the poor parts of america and offer well above minimum wage jobs. NO backround checks and all you have to do is know how to read. These companies train us to sell like machines. And believe it or not if we aren't agressive enough and rebuttal our hearts out we get wrote up and eventually fired. When you ask to be put on the DNC list we read you that scripted response and type in a number which we call a disposition for a DNC. And from there it it out of our hands. The individual person has no control over the number after that. Not even the supervisors. We use automatic dialers. If not for working my way through college, I wouldn't need this wretched job. But I have to say my town needs this place. We are in a very rural and poor area without many jobs. Being paid well above minimum wage is enough motivation for some like me.  Once again I do apologize.

They need to go and get a real job!

just got a call from this number - they called on my work number - I never answer when it is a 800 # - they left no message - hopefully, when they heard the message they will not call again.

I am a member of Columbia House.  Every month when I decline the featured selection, I get multiple calls trying to sell me alternative titles.  They get snotty when you say no.  I told one customer service rep that when my husband got out of jail, I'd consider getting a collection of my favorite TV shows on DVD, but for right now I'd have to pass because he shot out the TV with a 12 gauge shot gun.  She stuttered a really quick "maybe next time" and hung up.  The calls stopped...for that month!
BTW, my husband is NOT in jail (he's a cop, actually) and he didn't shoot the TV with a 12 guage, but I'm thinking of trying it again next month ;-)

This number calls me EVERY DAY!!!!  I never answer it...  I wish they would just STOP!!!!!!!

I also get calls w/ hang ups from this number, but another 800 look up gave me this answer:

This number keeps calling me, claiming to be from BMG/Columbia House telling me since I have a good acount in standing they were offering me to buy one for $9.95 and get 5 free DVD's for it. I kept telling them I wasn't going to be at my current address in 4-6 weeks but they keep calling after that. They also call from another number with the same promotion: 1-800-262-2001.
