It is a boiler room tho. But it sounds like the one I work at is way better than the Orlando one.

Lol. I work at the santa ana group. Its not terrible. Everyones really cool and nice to eachother. I mean sure, my managers have piercings and prison tats on their neck. But were not ALL felons lol. Im not a felon. And the ones who look the meanest are actually the friendliest.

We signed up 3 months ago and our bill is nor 4 x the rate we were paying! What a scam! And they are telling me it coulod take up to 2 billing cycles to switch back. Well I will be on the net telling everyone to STAY AWAY from AGWAY ENERGY or your pocketbook will be tapped!

Carla Rodriguez has been calling me probably using that "urgency callback script" mentioned above. After listening to it I thought they were going to shut my power off if I didn't call back or something! Listening carefully to it I see that she isn't saying anything false, but it was the wrong way to try and start a business relationship. Very questionable marketing tactics.

they helped you out "alot"? apparently they didn't offer much help to your spelling!
| Isaac 2013-06-06 18:53:54 Unknown |
All the energy company's are the same. They offer you one month break and then rip you off with the competitive rate which means they could charge you any rate within th competative rate. Usually going to be higher than Con ED.

I just received a call from Agway Energy... and when I told the girl I was not interested in signing up she couldnt understand why... she then put her boss on the phone to help me "see the light" so they could help me save $$... There's a scam there some where... why would a company spend 15 mins arguing with a customer to sign up for their product??? Especially when NO was the response over & over. I tried calling National Grid to find out about this company but they were closed for the day... I will be calling Nat'd Grid back to see what they have to say about Agway Energy.

Calls come from "call center" in Orlando. When I called Agway to get put on DO NOT CALL list, they wanted lots of personal information that I didn't care to give. Agway's Parent company is Suburban Propane, 800-776-7263. That may explain what they are selling.

i have just got the call from agway. I would like to know, if, a consumer wants to purchase anything, why would the companies call the consumer? Cant they advertise on television, or send advertisements in the neighborhood papers or newspapers? Why must the consumer have to answer these calls? There has to be a better way to get consumers to know of AGWAY.

Received a call from "Joshua" asking to speak to the person who pays the electric bill. He sounded as if it was an emergency so I asked him where he was calling from and he said "Suez Energy". I told him I'd have to take a message, indicated that this was an attorney's office, and that he probably would not receive a call back. He wanted to know the name of the person who might be calling him back and he also asked if I could verify that the attorney pays the electric and doesn't rent the property. Joshua said that we are eligible to receive certain benefits that would lower the monthly cost of electric. Perhaps next time I should ask if he knows where we are located. **After reading reports on these numbers, I'll ask to speak to somebody whose name I've seen on here and they'll hang up on me. lol**

I received a call this morning on my voicemail, which is being forwarded to my cell phone while we're on vacation. Our voicemail states we'll be back on the 18th, but just today I've had 3 calls on my personal cell phone, which I gave on my away message for "emergencies only".
I am on vacation! This is not an emergency and you're now calling my cell phone repeatedly! Your number has been permanently blocked from both my office and cell phone.

I got a voice mail from Kenny from what sounded like "Suet Energy", to call him back regarding our electric account, at 1-800-968-3503. According to Caller ID, the number he was calling from was 972-217-8325.
The number he dialed is a business office, which does not pay electricity. It is included in our office rental. Therefore, we do NOT have an electric account with them -- or any other company.
Lots of talking in background -- sounded like a boiler room.
From the above postings it appears that this number is claimed by several different companies -- all claiming they are calling about an existing account but almost all of the postings claim they do not even pay electricity, so that claim cannot be true.
Who can this be reported to? Some "Agency" needs to be aware of this situation, and stop it from the originating end. The persons at the number called should not have to take the time to call back and ask to be taken off the list -- since they should never have appeared on the "call list" in the first place. We should not have to continue receiving these unwanted calls/voice mails, either.

This is a telemarketing boiler room which is awful to work at. The majority of them are felons on parole or probation and its the only place that will hire them. The reason they hire the is because they get a tax kickback for hiring felons. Thats why they are moving to Santa Ana because there is a bigger tax incentive if they hire felons called the empowerment zone. The owners wouldnt know how to run a business with real professionals under them. The actual CEO of the company yells at the entire group when sales are down and blames the reps for it. Well if he would hire real sales reps and quit being so cheap maybe he would keep sales up. You get what you pay for. Is he really that dumb. Amazed his business has made it to where it is. Ripping off people to make his living is all he does. He is one of those Scientology weirdos too so is all his partners that kinda explains his mentality. By the way from what Ive seen with you would be best off ignoring them and sticking with your local utilties rates. This company really is pathetic and so are all the people working there. Never seen a bigger bunch of brown nosers in one place.

i actually work for the company. we work on behalf of major energy suppliers. it is a benefit to the customer most of the time depending on what area your in or what utility you have. It is not a scam in any way. These are programs put in place by your utility companies as well as the public utilities commission in your state

Like LR above, received messages from "(first name) with "(unitelligible name) Energy Company" indicating that I "need to call right away" regarding our electric account.

I got a call a few minutes ago from someone named "Linda Perez" and she states they received my resume and would like to set up an "application appointment" for me to come in and apply for a job. I haven't been looking for jobs at all, and have been with my company for over 9 years now. When I called the number back due to the fact I was concerned they some how have my information, they then tried getting my personal information over then phone. I quickly hung up, and called local law enforcement.

Central Hudson is your utility, not your supplier. They own the delivery system (pipes, wires, meters, ect) and charge you for delivery of your electricity and natural gas. When they purchase those commodities, they go to open market energy suppliers. In your state, this is done on a monthly basis. Suppliers bid to supply your utility who, by law, has to take the lowest bid. You, as a CHUD customer, have the right to choose a third party supplier for your natural gas and electricity. Agway Energy is one of those authorized suppliers. The standard rate they offer is a monthly variable with an extremely low introductory rate. The rates thereafter are fairly competitive, usually a couple of tenths of a cent below the utility per/kwh every month. The natural gas rates in your territory are fairly good through them as well. You may want to consider choosing a supplier for the energy, but do your research (fixed or variable rate, rate history of both the supplier and the utility, cancelation penalty...)

Does anyone actually use Agway Energy Service for their electric needs? Central Hudson Gas & Electric is our only supplier in Ulster County. Have new laws passed? Can we actually get a more competively priced electric company? Is this for real at all? Anyone with any real knowledge please advise.~~Thank you~~

Agway is a lier and thief, this is all I have to say. I received their calls several times and I believed them to switch my elec. supply from ConEd. After 2 months, I figured out that my elec. rate was 60% higher than ConEd's price!! 60%, not even 16%. I will call Agway and tell them all go to hell! These telemarketers are shameless at all.
Be aware of Agway's call!
