Mum... This is a fifth third phone number
I have used it for 15 years to check my accounts and make payments. I know this number by heart and have for almost 15 years. I don't see how fifth third is scamming people, but if that's for sure the number then some of you need a lawyer!

THIS IS NOT A SCAM NUMBER...I HAVE A LOAN WITH THEM AND THE NUMBER IS LEGIT. NOW  THE PERSON THAT IS CALLING MAY NOT BE. YOU NEVER KNOW WHO IS ON THE OTHER END. I HAVE HEARD OF MANY BANK EMPLOYEES GET FIRED FOR STEALING OUT OF PEOPLES ACCOUNTS AND GO TO JAIL FOR EMBEZZLING FUNDS.

The person who called had such a poor use of the English language that I couldn't really understand him.  When I asked what country he was in he refused to tell me.

800-972-3030 is a legit phone number for Fifth Third Bank. It's the general customer service line.  I know this for a fact because I've worked for Fifth Third for 16 years.

This caller is a scammer poseing as 5/3 bank, DO NOT GIVE THIS CALLER YOUR SSN OR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER. 5/3 bank never asks you for this information.

Everything I receive a call from them it is fifth third bank leaving me voicemails. They call me 6-7 times a day on my cell while I am at work, really becoming a nuisance! Just called me at 11am on a Sunday!!! I work in customer service doing outbound calls on behalf of several banks so I know for a fact with fcc regulations you can only do 3 attempts per day and NEVER supposed to call on Sundays. This is getting ridiculous.

Next time they call ask to speak with a supervisor, then ask to be expedited on the do not call list... If you just ask to be put on the dnc list it can take up to 30 days, and there is a good chance you will continue to get calls for 30 days, so be sure to ask the supervisor to be EXPEDITED on the dnc list.

This number has repeatedly been calling my house for my brother, and no matter how many times my mother says he doesn't live there anymore, they keep calling. Today, they called asking for my mother's name, number, and social security number so their manager could 'resolve the issue'.

I have, per the legal requirements of The Fair Debt Collection Act (the complete act, not just that portion which is practiced by most but not all debt collectors) given both verbal and written demands that ALL communications between, Wells Fargo Credit Card division, be in written, either to my email address: whfbiz@mindspring.com, or in writing to PO Box 480550.  This request/demand is enforceable not just to Wells Fargo/Wachovia, but to EVERY debt collector which they choose to contract with.

Wells Fargo has been fully notified as to my discriminatory job and financial situation, which even after 3 years still has not changed to my frustration and this matter is fully out of my control.

It is suggested that this debt collector re-check with their attorney and review the entire Fair Debt Collection Act as to the obligations of both parties and stop the harassing verbal attempts on this minute cell phone.  This suggestion comes fully with a suggestion from The United States Justice Department's investigation regarding my personal rights in this matter.

unwanted calls

What a coincedence....recieved one also for $380, through my deceased mom and dads email which I happened to still have active.

Received an email from a so called tax advisor stating I was over paid $380 from the IRS. I am suppose to send  them all of my info, and a routing number of my checking account to fifth third bank or call the same  800#. Nice try fools 1800 scam r us.

They(Fifth Third Bank) kept calling me asking for Hector. I finally called and told them to stop. I've had my cell # for about 10 years, so it's not like he used to any time recently. Who the f$%# is Hector?

I also got a call from that number saying they were from Fifth Third and was announcing a rate... CLICK, that was me hanging up on them. I'm not a customer and have NO interested in wasting my cell phone minutes on a spam phone call. Did I say I'm NOT a customer of theirs.

It's Fifth Third Bank calling about new saving accounts specials.
I just called my local Branch and had them "opt" out and remove my number from the list.
