These people have called and called numerous times asking for my husband and he has NEVER applied to ANYTHING in relation to this company. Caller said his name was Anthony but it could likely be a fake name. Apparently a lot of people are getting these calls too. I don't entertain it anymore.

Change your phone number and consider it a "lesson learned". NEVER again post your phone # anywhere online. The FCC seems unable or unwilling to make any serious effort to curtail these telemarketers and their intrusive, annoying tactics. And perhaps, stop looking to forums like this one to solve your problems for you. Do some research, get creative, devise some offensive tactics of your own and employ them against companies like this one which are unethical and irritating.

Bigboss... 2 problems- 1) I specifically requested email or mail contact only...not one site offered Education Bridge as a sell-your-number telemarketing point of referral. 2) BIG mistake by Educ. Bridge AND any telemarketers working for them: of SIX phone calls made to my phone over thr weekend, not ONCE did ANY one leave a message IDENTIFYING the company or purpose of the call, which is blatantly illegal. SIX unidentifiable phone calls with NO return-call option is called HARASSMENT. ESPECIALLY on the wknd. THIS is why people are angry with TELEMARKETERS as well as the company. A simple, Hello, thus is so-and-so with Education Bridge marketing company. I'm sorry I missed you. I'm calling because... please return my call at ) and we'll talk more or you can request yo be put on out DNC list." .. THAT is the LEGAL way to Conduct telemarketing.  3) My # is on the Nat. DNC list. It is ILLEGAL for a Company to contact me unless I gave THAT company to do so kn direct line business with that company. That company is responsible for comparing numbers biught &/or received with the DNC list. Being nice doesn't change the law and the reason for the Registry.

Recieved call from Scott Hanes at this number.  He stated that my husband had requested educational material.  He quoted our address & a fictious email address as proof.  Called home phone which my husband would never use if he wanted a call back! My husband never requested a call from this company.

I was looking into education for braiun injury for a client and ended up on Education Bridge website, it asked for phone and email and immediately started getting spam and unwanted solicitation phone calls. I tried to unsubscribe and the unsubscribe button on the page is conveniently inactive. They have started phone solicitation to my number at work. Not appropriate.

So I actually work at this company currently and I hate it. I happen to be moving up fast and constantly getting pay raises (that is their tactic to keep people) but everything said about the company is true. It is harassment and the DNC takes a few days to update. It is just one of those companies where once you get in, it is very hard to pull out. I haven't even been there 60 days and have moved up to the final tier that makes the most money and I do enjoy the money, but I do hate knowing that the money comes from pissing off good people. I am taking this job because it pays for my college tuition. It is true though that management is a joke. They have nothing to manage anyway other than making sure we don't say illegal stuff that would bring the company to light. Just keep in mind when we call you, we honestly hate it and we know it pisses you off, but we have bills to pay and this is just one of those companies that is just hard to pull out of. If you answer and just say "Put me on the Do Not Call list." and then hang up, we are forced to take you off even though it can take a day or two to process that request. Remember we at education bridge all hate our jobs, but it's just hard to get out of.

I have been harrassed now by one company that I still can't get an accurate answer of who, how, what , when and why. I never fill those kinds of info out on the web. I research the colleges myself. The company has called me from 30-35 different number upwards of 10 times a day on my cell phone. I never use my cell number on the internet for anything only my landline. This has been going on now for over 9 months and they have my correct name and address and they have my wrong email account. I have tried to go through the script with them about 20 times and every time they mess up the info and recall me again like from new. Grrrrrr!!! I have asked over and over again to please tell me the company that they work for and where they are based from (corporate) and they either play stupid and hang up or hang  up or hang up after they gave me bad information. I have contacted the police about this matter and they can't seem to trace the numbers either and get an actual company to prosecute about all this harrassment!!! I don't know how they got my info and I am also listed on the Permanenet National Do Not Call Registery and the police just recently informed me that that list doesn't mean crap!!! Companies don't have to check with that list before calling and bothering people only if their company has morrals & values to care. If anyone tracks this company down for real let me know for I have lawyers ready to prossecute them for about 4 different violations!!!

I hate to admit this but I used to work for these nut cases.
They are using a predictive dialer (numbers are imported by a computer and dialed by the computer based on the time of day you are most likely to be home) This dialer does have issues as it auto rings a certain number of times it will hang up and move on, it also dials 5-10 numbers at a time per Agent and if it detects a person answering it will hang up on the other 4-9 numbers.

Most of their "agents" have 0 college experience and are likely never to attend a University.

Their leads come from several sources, some of them are not even legitimate sources. sites for jobs, just some company trying to make a buck on folks, in hard times. I even witnessed on more than one time finding out that the leads were possibly taken from a local phone book in your state and sold as legitimate leads to Expert Marketing LLC, previously One Simple Loan.

Location of Expert Marketing 4023 Tampa Road #2400 Oldsmar Fl, 34677
Telephone Direct Number (813) 343-6500

When called by this company the Service of placing you in contact with a school is legitimate.
However if you are not interested in receiving the free information on schools in your area, I suggest that when called you ask to speak to a supervisor right away. Explain that you are not interested and request both Internal and External add to their DNC or Do Not Call List, have the supervisor verify that you have been placed on the DNC list and hang up that is all.

For those of you on the National Do Not Call List, make sure to call and reaffirm your information after speaking to the company, as this was an Opt in program that is why they are able to contact you. so in order to Opt out you will have to take the call and follow the above steps in order to end the calls.

I hope this helps those who are concerned with these calls. The company is legitimate resource for people who are interested in returning to or starting an education path.

Best of Luck to all,
Mark

It's most definitely a SCAM. The same people called me asking for my husband when I was on my way home yesterday. It was from the number: 1800-973-0379. The woman said that she was a calling on behalf of Education Bridge.I thought nothing of it; I even told the woman to call back later because my husband is unavailable. The next morning, I received another call from the same number. I picked up ans asked very politely who was speaking and how I could help them. The man that answered had an accent, and said my husband's first name. I again repeated:" Hello, may I know who is speaking?" The person then hung up abruptly. That caused me to get wary and immediately very suspicious. I called the number back twice. The first time, it said all lines were busy. The second time classical music was played for a few moments, then a female's voice, (a recording I believe) came on saying that this is Education Bridge. It was then that I googled the name Education Bridge and saw all these various links saying it was a scam. I am really worried because my husband has been looking for a job and he has been filling out many forms. This is probably how they got my number and his full name, and who knows what else information they have.

received a call last night from this phone number. i called them back and they said that the information was entered about continuing our education. i said that this was impossible. he rambled off some information about where i lived and stuff and i said that this information could be found anywhere and that this was not what i was looking for, i was looking for how they received the information that we were looking at continuing our education. he could not give me the exact website that the information was entered on. i told him that i am on the national do not call list and he said that he would remove us from any future contact.... we shall see....

I have received a call from 800-973-0379 at least 4 times a day for the past 4 months, and have multiple different results...some, no answer, some just hang up, and others with a classical music recording.

Regardless of what happens, I have never gottent to talk with anyone to find out who they are and what they want.

TODAY....as a fluke....I called the number and happened to "hit" it perfectly that a person was about to make a call at exactly the time I called in....she was surprissed when she picked up the phone to call, and I was on the other end !!!!

the company is EDUCATION LINK....makes call because we (you too) at sometime, got onto a link that "copied" your IP address, identified you (sometimes by name) as someone that "submitted" an inquiry about furthering your education.  they have your name and number and attempt to "sell you" on different schools.

I requested her to remove my number....it takes 72 hours to be removed....she was exceptionally pleasant...and sounded really cute .... so BE NICE IF SOMEONE ANSWERS !!!!

You can email them at complaints@education-bridge.com or call them back at (800) 973-0379 and ask for the supervisor named Bruce and tell him to take you off the list or you will file suit in your local magistrate's court.

I've been getting 5 - 10 calls a day for the past week. These individuals ask for 'Arturo,' which is certainly not my name. I ask to be removed from the list since this is clearly not the correct number, and it seems like they only call more. I use my cell phone for work, and i don't have the luxury of screening every call that comes through. Super frustrating!!

Seems as though most of the messages I just read are all the same. When applying for a job on the net or thru any job board or job posting service, there are a lot of links for education and somehow these education links are gaining access thru which ever job site you are on. Most of them seem to stem from Career Builder and Monster. I spend 8 to 10 hours a day posting resumes to job boards, and without fail over half of them are interrupted by some school wanting me to further my education. User beware, and report to the search engine that you do not want to be bothered with this information, or if you did you could simply search for the school or educational information you were needing or wanting to further your career, it should not have to be crammed down your throat.
