"Oh Hi! Ann Johnson here giving you a call back about that credit card debt program that i talked to you earlier about. sorry we been pretty busy here. looking over paperwork here it looks like we might be able to lower the interest rates by 1.5%. cut those monthly payments down for yah, get you out of debt faster. It is important that you call back to start the process of getting you signed up with the program. The number to call is 800-977-2091". The call actually came from 636-789-4672.

I got a similar call (message) on my cell and she said "per our conversation before, I think I can get your rate down to 1.5% and that will really help those monthly payments you have been having trouble with."  I had to laugh, I only have 1 credit card and my house and car are paid off.  So...just to mess with her, I actually called her back and made up a story to tell her. I said, "Yes, I remember our conversation. I would love to do this.", and also said, "I'll pick you up at 8 tonight for dinner...remember? you said you would go out with me and then told me your address."  "No? you don't remember?" "Well, we can talk about it when I get there."  then I hung up.  Not sure if that freaked her out but it sure made me feel empowered.

Same as everyone else! I received an urgent message, only half because my voicemail cut some off, saying they can lower my debit to 1.5%. Sounds fabulous but I know its not true and won't be calling them back!

Got a call today on my unlisted cellphone from 1-573-339-7276 telling me to urgently call 1-800-977-2091 to lower my credit card interest rate.

BALONEY.

They've been hanging up on people who answer live. They only leave VOICE messages because then they can later LIE and say the message was left ACCIDENTALLY with the wrong number.  If you answer, then they can't PRETEND that they know you or have contacted you before because you'll start asking questions! They want to trick YOU into calling THEM.

I don't know if either of the numbers are real or spoofed, but everyone should start reporting these people to every law enforcement agency you can think of. Do Not Call lists, FTC, FCC, Atty Gen, etc.

I would also love to know how my unlisted cellphone number ended up in their hands...makes me wonder if someone at the cell phone service providers are selling their lists to the black market.

Cell phone call from 573-339-7276, left very fast voice mail message, totally unsolicited, telling me that I must call 800-997-2091 to "register". For what, I had no idea. My cell phone is on the do not call list. I filed an on line complaint with the FCC.

Ha! I just put a post on today with nearly the same goofy slang to make the transcription authentic. Word for word!  Pretty sure there's an FCC or FTC violation in that mix.  I know there is regarding using artificial voices to leave messages on a voicemail that the caller has no account with.

Got this call today. The number in the voicemail is contrary to what was on the caller ID so I'm posting it here. Below is the entire voicemail transcribed.  Thing is, I don't have/use credit cards (It's a once-bitten/twice shy kind of thing).

"Hi this is Anne Johnson here givin' you a call back about that credit card debt program that i talked to you earlier about. Sorry it's taken me a little to get back to you, we've been pretty busy around here, um. As I look over your paperwork as I see that we might be able to lower your interest rates to as low as 1.5%, uh..um, and cut those monthly payments down for ya, getchya outta debt a lot sooner. Um, it's pretty important that you give me a call me back so you can get started on that program. The numbers 1-800-977-2091. Again, my number here is 1-800-977-2091 .Thanks"

It's a scam.  Scam, scam, scam.  And they're apparently random dialing to cell phones. They called my MAGIC JACK phone, a number I have never given to anybody, a number in an area code (484) that is primarily cell phones.  Like others here, she promised to "help me get those payments down" when I have no revolving debt at all (a couple of credit cards that are paid off monthly and have been for more than 5 years).  I reported it to the Attorney General's office.

Got this same call/message but it came on my 16 yr old son's cell phone!   He obviously doesn't have a credit card and his number is on the do not call registry.  I'm going to file a complaint because my son has a pay-as-you go plan on his phone so this call cost me money.

I received a similar call today @ 11:53 EST.  The messages started at the end and said ".....so you can get started on that program.  My number is 1 800 977 2091.  Again, my number is 1 800 977 2091.  Thanks!"  I had no idea what that was about so I googled the 1800 # and found this website.  Don't people have anything better to do than to scam others?  I hope they put a stop to this.

Left voice mail. Claims they will lower credit card interest rates to 1.5%

She claimed I was late on my credit card payment (untrue).

It's not a non-profit, it's a scam.

I got the same voicemail from Ann Johnson - at work.  I received a similar call on my cell phone last month.  I never spoke to this woman before (as she implied).  Left 1-800-977-2902 although the caller ID # was 636-614-2902.

I received the exact same voicemail. No company name nor did she mention mine and according to her we previously talked about my debt. Liar!!! Scam!!! I guarantee that if you call them you will need to provide your personal information so they can pull up "your file".  I tried calling once just for the hell of it. An aswering machine said "Thanks for calling" no company name mentioned and when on to say it was passed their business hours.

Received a voicemail from a woman who said that she "was sorry she couldn't get back to me sooner, it's been really busy," and would be able to lower my interest rate to 1.5% and lower my monthly payments and will be able to get me out of debt sooner (I have no debt except a mortgage).  She said to call me back as soon as possible to "get things started."  Thought it was a scam, or some company that lies to bait you and when you call back uses very high pressure sales, so I googled it, thus found this website.  Glad I found this and didn't call back.

Call came to cell from 636-789-4672.  Caller began in the middle of the message so that it sounded as if there was a group mentioned.  However what was clearly said was: "You need to call as soon as possible so that you can start the program you wanted.  Call 1-800-977-2091"  I was pretty sure it was a scam as I had not signed up for any programs.  I did not call back.

Same as what many have already posted. Female voice in mid sentence when the message began stating how she can help me get out of debt with a 1.5% rate. She left the 800 number & said it was very important that I call. Yeah, right!

beware - someone called and left a voicemail claiming to lower my credit card interest by 1.5%.  callback number they gave was 1-800-977-2091.  on caller id, it shows 636-789-4672.  when you call the 800 number, they go 'oh no, the person wasn't suppose to leave a voicemail to a work number."

I received the same call as most others here -- "Ann Johnson" referencing a fictitious previous phone call, apologizing for not getting back to me sooner, and offering to reduce my credit card rate to 1.5% and "get me out of debt faster".  That will be difficult, as I carry no debt.  She gave the number 800-977-2091, but my cell recorded the origin as 636-327-5805.
