Same thing, postcard at my front door attached to its handle. Wish I could have seen who was dropping these scams off. Agree with Dan'l, would love sheriff's office to use these guys time more wisely.
Sick of all the scams and assault on my privacy. How do we stop this?

I saw two folks that got out of a car and delivered these "circulars" to all the houses along the block. I did call the #, and yes they said it was a govt sponsored program offering $3400.00 to u if u participate in an energy saving pro. They tried to set up an appontmnt with me, then tried to xfer me to confirm the appt. THEY SAID THEY DEMANDED BOTH! PEOPLE HOME AT THE TIME OF MEETING WITH A TECHNICIAN WHO WOULD GIVE US THE DETAILS. Well when they tried to xfer and confirm the appt it said it was "busy". I called the 1 800 # and got the same girl 3 times after the cutoffs....i then heard her int he bkng in a muffled voice..swear? and said something like"This guy has called me 3 times! what the???? am I supposed to do??
AT THIS POINT, THAT WAS THE END OF THAT!!!!

The card DOES appear to have been hand-delivered (no postal markings at all) -- and it has the exact same text and image on both sides of the card. Found it along the side of the driveway, up near the garage (which is NOT in the front of the house, so it got my hackles up right there). I bet these people HATE how simple Google makes it to track down and "derail" their sales attempts...

Now I just have to hope to encounter someone leaving these cards -- the Sheriff's Office will be happy to rearrange their schedule, since my neighborhood is posted and secured.

Thanks, I receive the same card today. The card does not identify a company, although it seems to look official with a picture of a power meter. Your comments confirm my suspicions, thanks very much.

Telemarketer
Inbound-appointment setter identified the company name as Saving America's  Energy Associates.
While claiming they are "not selling " anything they want to send someone to do a free home evaluation. They are "not authorized" to provide their address and refused to do so. Can't find the company listed as a Florida corporation or registered fictitious name.

Received a postcard yesterday stuck in the front door--it said "ELECTRIC UPDATE -- Repeated attempts to reach you by phone and in person have been unsuccessful.  Please contact us within 72 Hrs."

First of all, we are retired and are home 98% of the time.  We were home all day yesterday, didn't leave at all (no one rang the doorbell.)  Secondly, we have NOT received any phone calls from this 800 number, so I figure it is a scam or one of those 'solar panel' salesmen that have been calling trying to sell everyone solar panels.  Anyway, we are not returning this call, so I guess we will never know the secret "electric update."
