I get these calls on my cell phone.  I've blocked the number and now the calls don't even ring anymore.  The only way I know they've even called is my call log shows a bunch of calls over and over and over.  It's my own little victory over them. :)

They have called me 8 times in the past 2 days...

The caller is Evergreen a 3rd party company associated with Comcast. I called the number back and spoke to Jessie who was able to confirm my comcast account. They call people to inform them of "upgrades" available to their service. The. Thing I didn't like is Jessie told me thaat it would take 30 days to be removed from Evergreens call list. So, if you get a call from this number either report to FTC or block the number completely. I hope this information was helpful.

I just signed up with Comcast two weeks ago and continue to get calls from 800-983-0950. I called the number and opted out and less then 2 mins later they called again. They are calling from "evergreen" I believe he said the company was, a third party comcast gives your number out to. Comcast will be dropped if this crap continues

Got a call tonight from Evergreen for Comcast.  Guy insisted that I needed the phone service and asked when they could install it.  The questions they ask about my service made it seem like such a gimmick. If they really had something for me, they know what I watch and use and shouldn't call unless there is actually something of value to me.

They left me a message saying they had some disturbing news in their office about me her name was Caroline????

The calls come from Evergreen, calling on behalf of Comcast.  I expect they got my number from Comcast records (I am a Comcast customer.)  They called me over half a dozen times in the last month, always near dinner time.  The calls went to the answering machine.  They never left any intelligible messages, all I could hear was just background noise sounding like a robo-dial call center.  I finally called them back at this number, selected option 3 to get my number removed from their call list.  We'll see if it actually accomplishes my objective, too soon to tell.

FYI, the national do not call list service does not prevent Comcast or their agents to call you if you are a Comcast customer (that's the rules unfortunately.)  So if Comcast or Evergreen keeps calling even if you tell them not to, you'll need to take it up with Comcast, or just cancel your service with them out of protest.

They are annoyingly persistent and leave no message when they call.  Finally called them and it is a company called Evergreen with an "offer" for Comcast deal. I was suspicious and so I called Comcast direct and guess what? They really did have a deal for 6 months that reduces my charges from $120. to $79!  (Yeah, I know it's just for six months but it is the same service and no strings are attached.)
I have been a Comcast customer for almost 5 years and I think they are outrageous when they only offer the good deals to new users when it's the old users who should be rewarded. They have a monopoly here where I live and because of that they know you are forced to stay with their service.  I don't like it a bit but I will say that I have had very good experiences when I have needed assistance. The guys who answer tech questions are always nice and very patient. So, if you do get a call from this number and you have Comcast, you may want to give them a call and ask if they are offering a deal.

Thank for that link. Everybody please submit a complaint (if it bothers you being called over and over) especially if your phone is on the do-not-call registry but even if it isn't. There is a specific entry for this type of call, you can figure it out by the descriptions in the complaint form.

How do you get the people to stop calling.  They own NBC and are as big as our government so they think they can do what they want. Any ideas?????

This really ticks me off. I was getting every other day calls from another number that's also "Evergreen" calling on behalf of Comcast. So I blocked that number and now they're calling from this one. When you call back, option 3 is to put you on their no contact list.

I've gotten calls from this number on a cell phone. The FCC form does not include calls to cell phones.

Called the number back after not answering there calls for what seems forever. It was an automated call from Evergreen an agent for Comcast Cable. The message was a special offer form Comcast and gave the option to be removed from Comcasts call list. I registered my number and hopefully the calls will end.

Any and all calls that are non-solicited and not wanted just file a complaint. Especially if you can identify who calls. Works for me.

I'm a current customer of Comcast and just wanted to get information on transferring my service. They kept pushing the triple play package which I didn't want. By the way, the person sounded from another country and they had a computer sounding voice like they were trying to disguise their voice. Then they tried to get me to buy all these extras. All I wanted was information. Then I get text messages on my phone and then recorded message calls. These people are so stupid. So, I'll just using my local office from now on to do my business.

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone.
No one was there when I said hello, and then waited, then said " hello someone better effing be there".
Then the line went dead before I closed the clam shell.

Yeah, they called me at 9:00 on a Fri.  Was a lady that I gave a hard time too.  She wanted me to get a home phone added to my comcast acct.  I said I have a cell why would I want a home one, not interested.  She started spouting something about 911 security rate thing and I started laughing so hard and hung up.

I answered and there was no one on the other end. I hung up.

Its not actually comcast but Evergreen. A advertizing agency that Comcast has hired.

Late evening phone calls about 8 - 8:30 pm. No one answers. If I choose option 2 and input my "opt-out" number... the machine says it is accepted.  But, continue to get phone calls.  Last call on 04-Apr-2012
Comcast is really a scummy outfit.

These persistent calls from Comcast to my Verizon mobile phone are particularly irritating, they do not route to voicemail, but instead, ring and ring seemingly forever - and there's no one there when I attempt to answer. I am getting very close to cancelling my Comcast contract, this is so obnoxious...always at dinnertime.
