TRY THIS!!!

I wrote earlier and mentioned we had saved the number under the title "Do Not  Answer" and set the ring tone for it to no ring.  Interestingly enough ever since I did that we haven't received a call from the number...not only does our phone not ring but we don't get any missed calls from them.

Got a call from this number and all it said was 800 service on the caller ID and it forwarded on my Vonage to my cell phone. Tried to call back and all I got was a busy signal. Only happened one time.

I keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone and when I answer the caller hangs up.

they call my cell sometimes 3 & 4 times a day. i never answer because i have no idea who it is. and i don't like telemarketers any way.

I started receiving calls form 1-800-984-1179 a few days ago.  I don't answer and they never leave a voicemail.  They call twice a day and when I call back, it is also busy.

my wife told me she started getting calls from this 1800 number. she answered the first couple times out of habit I guess but then she stopped when it persisted. I called my cell phone provider to ask if there is any way to block unwanted calls but i was told that it is currently impossible to do so.    sort of as a temporary solution we added the number to our contact list under the title "do not answer". on most phones you can edit the ring tone of any specific contact and we set the ring tone to our friend "do not answer" to no ring at all.  now, should that annoying number call us again we won't hear a thing. it's kind of nice and i recommend it to ya'll

they keep calling and hanging up on me...

These ppl keep calling and yelling and almost to the point of a scream and insisted up on speaking to my sick disabled husband who has had 12 heart att's 4 strokes and  has diabe. and yet he was soooooo rude and disrespectful to me and I have asked to be removed from there calling lists

I got a call from this number and when i answered they hung up, then i called back and it was busy then i called again later and i just got something that said customer service and they hung up

theyve called me several times on my cell phone. and like alot of ppl no answer. I am glad i found this site. i doubt id give my credit card to some one telling me that i won sumthing, but i am glad i know that its a scam. i am contacting my att general to report this. How can we be heard if we dont say somthing?

These people called me late at night on my cell phone. I didn't pick up. Then I went to the internet to search for the reverse number and it didn't come out. So I googled the number in and it brought me to this forum and I saw the national do not call number and called them to put my name on the list. Thank you to all who  wrote about the national do not call, otherwise they would still be callig me. P.S. You can also go to www.donotcall.gov and put your name on the list. I did it for my home phone and cell phone.

Calls several times a day and doesn't answer

Am getting this call many times daily since 1 week.
No one answers.
When I call, its busy.

I was getting phone calls from this number every hour yesterday!  I would answer everytime hoping to get someone on the line with no luck.  Finally after the 4th or 5th time, when I answered, I just said, "Hello - Please take me off your calling list." Someone was still on the line, but not responding, so I said again, "Please stop calling, take me off your list."  No response, so I said it again.  They still didn't hang up, so I just ended the call.  They never called back - I hope it worked.  It is odd, the number they called was also my cell number, like a few complaints above.  How annoying ...  Good luck.

Please stop 800 984-1179 from calling. They call everyday 5-6 times and on weekends

A couple hours ago then ten minutes later, I call back and recording="you have reached costumer service you will be contacted" This is bogus

they no my name 2 thats really weird any1 else that they no the name?

ya they keep calling me and idk who it is but if they do it anymore im going 2 call the cops u think thats a good idea?i do they can track it.

This number calls me every single day, atleast twice per day, same story...busy when i dial back. Actually, one time it wrang and all i got was "you will be contacted" then it disconnected.

I have started getting calls from this number at my work number! I dont know how they get but they call 3 times a day! Once I picked up and asked how she got my number and she said if I have mastercard,visa or discover then one of those gave it to them. I said I cannot talk and she hung up.

The form is 2 short pages and easy to fill out.  I just did it.  If enough people file a complaint, the FCC will investigate and shut them down.

I got a call from this numer today (800-984-1179).  He claimed to be a sweepstakes for Visa, MC, Discover, etc. and asked if I had a credit card.  I said I was not interested.

WARNING:  I received this call the day after some suspicious charges were made on my card.  I believe it was not coincidence.  If you receive a call from this number, check your credit card's charges, you may also be a victim.

I pick up and no one is there and wen i call back it's busy
