i keep getting this number

Just started getting calls from this number myself. One last night around 8pm, and one just now. Last night I answered it and it went dead, not bothered answering it today. What an odd number.

This number has just called me for the first time - didn't answer as it came up as +800.... what the heck is that???? I have been getting nuisance calls from Vanquis - could it be them also?

Iv been getting calls from this number all wek, sometimes 6 or 7 a day! Does noboday know what it is? I havent ever answered cos the number lookedd odd and iv heard of scams where when you answe it costs a fortune, dont know if this is one though.

As i too have had calls from this both the number 0498009886006 & +8009886006 so it looks like they maybe the same scammers!

i have received loads (20+) of these calls - but i was immediately suspicious of the 8 - and haven't actually answered any of them

I answered a call from this number (due to curiousity on the 3rd attempt) and it was a woman calling me following a compitition I had entered online.
I was hoping she had called to tell me I had won but instead she told me I had reached the final stages of the compitition!!  She then gave me information about purchasing some lottery tickets at a set amount for a large number.
I'm guessing she was calling from overseas as there was a couple second delay before she answered me after I had said something - like you see on the tv when they're talking to someone via satalite.
