Someone planning to seel a wireless phoe connection with free laptop for people with low credit score. I heard their ad today on 107.9 fm radio.

Nevermind...it probably is a scam. The concept is not a scam, though.

I just did some research on Blue Hippo and found that it was actually frauding people and not delivering the computers they promised. One of the co-founders of Blue Hippo actually separated and founded this company (TronixCountry) which now is the one on the radio.

It's not a scam. Some people really don't have any credit because they've screwed up and don't have $200 to $500 in extra cash sitting around to get a laptop or desktop computer. It's no different than buying a house. With interest, you almost end up spending double on your home in the long run...mortgages are not a scam, you just can't afford them all up front...

If you're really in need for a laptop and no one else will help you. I guess you're forced to go with these guys....or that blue hippo thing...

Ripoff computer offer. Look on eBay for a cheap wireless laptop or go to walmart, you can get a laptop with wireless for as little as $400 - $500. Or one of those wireless Netbooks for $250 - $300.

actually 29.99 / week for 12 months!  (52 x 29.99) = $1559.48!! ... Not to mention any fees they may charge.  This is double the price of the laptop!!  Do people actually fall for these scams!?!?!  They must, otherwise they wouldn't be in business...

yes the number was mentioned in Radio add for HP or Dell laptop for 29.99/month for one year through your bank account (for those people with screwed up credits and all). It also include the free offer for MP3 and LCD player. It sounded like some kind of trap for those who have already screwed up finances. Didn't bother to call and verify.
