I received a call from 1-800-990-4761 just a few minutes ago. The woman (would not give me name) asked for me by name and asked me to verify my address so she could be sure it was me she was speaking to & she had a personal file on her desk with my info that she needed to speak with me about. I refused to do so until she told me her name, company name & what she was calling about. She wouldn't give anything. Said she was just trying to help me & would call back when I was in a better mood. Told her "don't bother", hung up & immediately blocked the number. This seems like a scam to get personal info to me.

got a call from Juan from Argon demanding to speak to someone who does not live here. This was not the first call, i have received many calls in the last 2 years.
They are rude, i am trying to get a lawyer to sue them.

been receiving calls - messages - on my land line from 800-990-4761 last few months asking for a relative who has been incarcerated for apprx. 12 years and not likely to have any debt owed !!.I called them back and told them this and "Richard" said my number is not in their database anywhere and I asked him to quit calling my phone and he hung up on me.  How they got my phone number I do not know and am figuring this is quite illegal.

Received a messge from 800-990-4761, Argon Collection, saying they are looking for "Judy Mett".  I won't call back as that isn't me and they're likely trying to get personal info from whomever does return calls to them.

I got a call from them today.  The person identified himself and the company (Argon) and ask name.  Wouldn't tell me the nature of the call unless I gave them more identifying information.  I refused .  My advice to any reader of this:  don't give personal information to any unsolicited call from someone you don't know nor invited the call from, especially if they won't tell you the nature of their call without your divulging personal information.

Calling my 11 year old daughters pay as you go cell phone that has absolutely no identity to a name or address.  She doesn't answer and we delete the missed call.  Has had phone for a year and just started getting multiple calls from unknown numbers.  Why doesn't the FCC shut these places down.

I got this message from 702-853-1710. I was told to call for some name that was not understandable. When I called it was Aragon Collection Agency. They said they'd remove my name but I've had my number for 3 years.

Got message at work from this number..was Romaine at ext 147. Turned out to be for a hospital bill that I never had seen before. Not sure who mit is for.

This number----> 800-990-4761 has been calling my 11 year old grand daughter's phone. She has had her cell for 2 years now and these calls have started in the last month. The only message left is to call that number back,  not gonna do it. Been down that road before, even when you tell them they have the wrong number they still keep calling.

I filed chapter 13 also. Take their name and address, give it to your lawyer. The lawyer should send them a "nice" letter describing the LAW and what happens to debt collectors should they continue to pursue you AFTER a bankruptcy. Works for me. Thank God!

I received multilple messages from 800-990-4761 Aargon collections asking for a "Robert Warsham". I do not know this person and yet the calls continue. When I called Aargon back and told them I am not this person and to stop the harassment, they got belligerent with me and threatened me with legal action.

Received a call today from Julia Pawlik who worked for the a collection agency LTD asking me if I had an attorney or would like to represent myself. Julia said I had an outstanding Zales account from back in 2006. She was quite rude and demanded my Social Security Number of all things. Then when I refused stated that I must be guilty and threatened with a lawsuit in 48 hours. I requested to speak to the supervisor and he mentioned that he was looking for another person with the same name but different middle name. He provided the other persons SS# which was not mine.
I asked for their address so that I can file a complaint formally and the he became upset and then hung up on me.

I called Julia back and she ask that I not call her any longer refusing to provide a way to provide a complaint. Then yelled and hung up on me.

I got a call from 800-990-4761.  Is this a collection agency.  Should you trust them?  I had old debts but have since filed Chapter 13.  My attorney said to ignore them.  It still bothers you though.

I have received 7 or 8 automated calls saying to return the call to 1-800-990-4761 looking for a "Joseph Horn."  I have no idea who this is and have followed the prompt on their automated line for #5 "You do not know this person" and am still getting these automated calls.  How can I get them to stop this harrassment?

A new message on my machine was left today, its a recording. They are looking for a "Victor Reece or Reed". I am not this person, nor do I know them. The recording claims you must call back, its an urgent issue. I'm half tempted to call them and tell them never to call me again. Half tempted to wait and see if they call again.

It was a collection agency. They left a message on my office phone asking to call back. When I did, they said they were looking for someone I don't know. I asked them to stop their calls. Will see.
