I called two days ago to see when my contract was up. I am thinking about canceling service because they are so annoying with the calls. They start calling 4 and 5 times a day right before the bill is due. Since I called about the contract, they are calling me from this number as well. I am seriously going to just pay the bill this month and get rid of them. I can't deal with them calling me over and over. Even if I WAS late on my bill, 20 and 30 calls a week is ridiculous. It seems they would want you to keep your job so you can keep on paying them! They make me want to throw my phone some days. So done.

Called 1-800-531-5000 to pay my bill and if I could reach through the phone I would've choked the guy. He kept trying to offer ADT for  my  home in which I did not want. He would not discuss my bill until I agreed to get ADT. He kept saying,"Your telling me that cable is more  important than your families safety?" I just wanna pay my bill but discuss my account first. Is that too much to ask?

I was getting calls from this number: 1-800-998-2094 and when I called the number I found out it was direct tv, regarding an account that belongs to someone else, and I informed the Direct Tv associate that I don't have Direct tv and to please remove my number. I have called this number several times to request my number to be removed and I still get calls from this company. Don't know what to do about this.

Ronda - the callers do not necessarily read this website, so telling them here to stop calling is not going to do anything for you.  You need to call them and tell them yourself.

please don't call me.. I got this phone.. a few months ago.. the person who had the number previously had a connection with direct tv, I do not.  He got rid of his phone.  I have the number.  please do not call me.  I don't have cell minutes to keep answering your calls.

It's DirecTV. They always do this to me. When I have a bill coming due, they begin calling me several times a day like 3 weeks before the due date. I called and asked them to stop calling me every day all the time as it feels like harassment and their response was " It's an automated calling system and unfortunately they can't make the calls stop." Bullsh*t! They could make them stop but evidently they choose not to. I don't mind a friendly reminder if I've overlooked the bill and payment is due soon but several times a day weeks in advance....it's a load of sh*t!!

I *do* have DirecTV, but it's not even close to my billing/due date, nor do I have a past due balance.
So, *why* have been calling me 3-4 times a day for the past 2 days, I don't know.
Especially if they can't leave a message....Screw em'..I'm blocking this particular number.

I just got a call from this number at 9:29am and they did say something.  They said two words which was this "you w***e" now I didn't apperciate that much and yes I do have directv.  If the phone calls keep comeing from them and if they keep saying these things it will be handed over to the proper atthority.

Yes, DirectTV harasses you way before your bill is due ..It is very annoying and they take up time and money as they leave their UNKNOWN number on my cell phone ... sometimes they call several times in a day ..
They should be cited for this type of annoyance.

Yes, they are calling me too. My due date is 5/22/08. I am current on my bill so I cant figure out why they would call. They dont leave a message so I dont bother to call back!

I also have direct tv, I didnt answer the phone or have caller ID but I did *69 got there number. They didn't leave a message on my machine either. If I had known they did this kind of bad practice with there customers I would not have chosen them and now I am in a two year agreement. I also have DO NOT CALL on my phone I thought they couldnt get through on a DO NOT CALL. If they continue to harasse,I will report them also. Thank you as above for the "the w***e" message. First time they will do that it will be the last time.

They want to "upgrade" services. They want to sell you some package--NFL, NHL, MLB or those types of pacages.
I just do not answer.  Eventually they stop, but start back up again months later.
I need to let them know to NOT CALL.  If I want a program, packaging of programs, or upgrades, I will CALL them!

I received 2 calls from this number and came to this website to find out who it was. I then went to the DirectTV website and under "contact us" I sent an e-mail requesting that the calls be stopped. I got this reply:

Thank you for writing. As you asked, we are processing your request to be removed from our outbound call and/or mailing list. Please be aware that it may take up to two weeks to process, so you may receive another outbound call and/or mailing before your request is fully processed.Thanks again for writing. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

I got two calls within an hour yesterday and I won't answer as I know it's some sales thing with an 800 number.  I called it back and it was Direct TV.  They left no message.  I have no idea why they call.  I'd like to get someone's number there and call it incessantly all day

I get it too. But I have a "Privacy corps caller id manager" and it blocks all number from 800,888,etc...

It simply blocks the call from ringing the house phones. Love this thing.

The phone rings twice and I do not have time to pick it up and then they hang up only to call back in about 5 minutes.  This goes on for about 10 phone calls 3x a day.  My bill is paid and I have not call them.  How can I stop this from happening????

i too get these calls. sad part is that i even had to give them my cell number.  they said because i had previously had service with them on my home number that they couldnt use it.  stupid.

anyway, i just ignore them and tell my wife the bill is due - she tells me she already paid it and we laugh at a corporateion making millions of our dollars delivering technology to us but cant keep their system from calling you when you are current.  imagine that.

i guess i am the only retard in this band of folk.  what in tarnations are they calling you?   i dont get the w***e bit.
