Man said it was an AT & T 3 question survey for 35% off next store purchase.  Defintely foreign accent and VERY hard to understand.  Sounded like he may have been South African with a British accent.  I was suspicious from the start and answered the banal questions, but then he asked if I would give the name on the account, so he could verify.  I said, "You called ME, you should have the name in front of you!"  I told him I WAS the owner of the account, but wouldn't give my name.  He said he wouldn't be able to give me the discount in that case.  Imagine that!!!  Always BE AWARE folks!  I should have given a fake name, just to see what the next question would have been....

Apparently a phishing call.  They work from a list of Verizon numbers and the caller indicates that you'll get a credit on your next bill if you answer a few questions.  The initial questions are innocuous (call quality, etc.). The caller then merely needs to verify some personal information.  This is where you hang up.
