"Jack" from this number called my work place and declared that he is representing a collection agency and left a message to my employer that "I'm sure we can work something out."
This is highly illegal practice to call a place of employment to collect a debt. - and I don't even know what debt is in question. He did not say what company he is calling from, nor his full name, just "Jack".

Jack*** collections agency with "international" clients and ... oh ... "locations". Registered in 2008 in place of a previous hustler collectors. "Receivable Management Services" of Suite 100, ... Mount Laurel, NJ. An 'Elane Johnson' x.4335 was rather scripted in the beginning but quickly rolled downhill and confessed "she loooves talking to attorneys" with the only purpose of racking up customer bills and inflicting more misery of unsuspecting people, has no clue what is it she is supposedly collecting for (jack***es) and rolled out an amount TRIPLE of what my end of the paperwork is showing. Wishing at the end "to get on with my life", etc etc. How does this planet carry such people along.

Today my mother-in-law, who is elderly, received a phone call from a person claiming to be from RMS (800-999-9407, extension 4340).  This person would not disclose her name, but insisted on speaking with my husband.  My mother-in-law, again asked what her name was, and she refused to state who she was, but said that if my husband did not call her back, that RMS would "come after him."  My mother-in-law was so alarmed that she called us in the middle of the night.  We work for the Department of Defense in Europe.

I then promptly called the number and asked the woman, who answered in a gruff voice, who she was and what her company was about.  She refused to tell me and asked me who I was.  I did not disclose my name, but when I asked her why she called my mother-in-law, and threatened to "come after her son," this woman denied having said this, got angry and gruffly barked back at me.  When I then asked her again for her name, she hung up.

I then Googled the "Receivable Management Services" attempting to compare the phone number and see what this company was all about.  I didn't find the phone number printed anywhere on their website.  I then decided to Googled the phone number (1-800-999-9407) and found the BBB listing of this company as "having gone out of business," with numerous complaints.  I must tell you that this company is being used again, either by someone illegally or someone who is not following proper collector agency protocol, under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

We do not owe any money to anyone, so we feel certain this is a scam.  We also think that since the BBB in New Jersey has it listed on their website as "D & B Receivable Management Services" with this phone number listed above, they might want to inquire into who and what this co. is all about with such aggressive practices, now that they have resurfaced.

I received two calls from this guy about some bill for a promotion that my company did.
Funny thing is, I never signed up for anything. I've never been billed for this "promotion"
nor can I find any evidence that this alleged "promotion" was ever done. I have not returned his
two hone calls and I don't intend to. It's definitely a scam and I can't wait to see if he tries to follow up.

R.M.A. Collection management posing as an "attorney" and trying to collect an old debt...I believe this is illegal, nobody can pose as an attorney when they are NOT.
Every time they call they change names and try to confuse you.

Trying to collect a debt owed to Yellow Book. The person that called was very rude, represented herself as an attorney and wouldn't give her last name. When I asked, she couldn't give me an accurate balance. She said it was cold and that made her computer keep shutting down and that her records were incomplete.

She called me back a couple hours later and said that payments we had made were never credited to the account for almost a year. She told me not to pay anything until I heard from her again. Not much was straightened out and after almost 3 months have not heard a word from her.

Now Yellow Book is dunning us again. Certified letter is going out Monday.
