Looks like the same deal.  Trying to buy my motorcycle and have it shipped to him.  Wants to pay me extra and have me arrange the shipping.  Operating from both a cell ((256) 495-8848) and the sramsey323@gmail.com address.  

The scam works like this.

He initiated a payment (from a stolen paypal account).

He asks you to moneygram a shipper the payment for shipping (in the case of automobiles) or offers to pay the shipping for the item. For the car, the payment will be declined or returned (when the person being stolen from submits it) and you will have paid a thief to take off with your car.  

For smaller item(s), what happens is they make the payment, pick up the item in question in PERSON, or have someone do it for them, then they will dispute the charges and get them removed, and since you have no proof you gave it to him, he wins and you're out the item and the money.

I got a call from this guy today, I was very wary as I've been the victim of these scams before (luckily nothing lost yet, I'm very cautious) so I saw right through his crap.  Don't fall for this.  Never exchange goods without having the cash in your hands.

Im going through the same thing, he is attempting to pay me $225 for a used ps3 that Im selling for $100 Idk how much shipping is to Nigeria but it smelled fishy. I checked the email and found this page but I don't get the scam. It might sound wrong but I  kinda want to hear from someone that actually got scammed. just so I know what he's up to and what to look out for in the future.

I can't believe this person is still woking this scam! First red flag always is that the area code is not one that you're familiar with (in your area). we also experoenced the same thing w/ a 401 area code which is California & we live in Iowa! I always google strange phone #'s! Maybe I'll mess with him a little while before I tell him not to text me anymore. Thanks Everyone!

same thing, wants to use paypal, told them no I prefer cash or money order, they tried to convince me paypal was more secure even after I said no thanks. said he'd buy my jeep but couldn't make the purchase locally, had to have it picked up and shipped to his son as a surprise...irritating. eh well, hope these posts help someone else, I googled the phone number and up popped all these posts, thanks everyone! was helpful, otherwise I may've continued wading thru this persons bullsh*t!

i posted something on craigslist too and got a text from this guy just right now 01/24/2013 2:52pm saying he is interested and he will buy it with additional 100 and send him a receipt.. everything you guys said thats what exactly he was telling me. BUT i already know that it is a scam, if they're saying it is from nigeria or some s*** like that, like other countries. Beware, be smart and dont fall for it!

Posted my truck for sale yesterday...this guy texted me today, called himself Michellin...found my ad on Carsonlinefree, not craigslist...exact same details mentioned from everyone above. Told him I found his location through GPS IP Release and he'd be getting a visit very soon.  Never heard back from him after that.

Play fire with fire. I've been messing with this Idiot since he contacted me. I told him I was there on vacation, and we could meet. He gave me the run around, so I keep texting him just to bug them and be annoying. He is still giving me the run around and wants me to ship the item to his son. I asked him for a camel and told him I would add an extra $20 for shipping.

I don't know if this is a scam but it sure looks like it. after going back and forth via text, I googled the email address the "buyer" was providing and I found this page. after that I just started messing around with the so called buyer. please continue reading for details.

the texts came from #281-829-8304, which turns out to be a google voice#..I called and got no answer.
I contacted Paypal and the paypal customer service rep stated that the email address mihellin0023@yahoo.com is registered in New York.

in my opinion he/she( the alleged scammer) would claim that the money has been sent and have you ship the item, or that he/she might actually fund his/her paypal using stolen credit or debit card numbers.

He is still active, i received a text from this guy today (11/3/2012). He wants to buy my car but can not come and see the car. mihellin0023@yahoo.com his e-mail and wants more pics of car. This number is a scam. Run by a guy by the name of Ramsey....do NOT do business with this guy!!!!

This Ramsey is a running a scam. I also had a car for sale and he tried the same scam on me as Somedude. There has to be a way to shut this guy down. As we speak...I just got two more messages from this jerk wanting more pictures. I am not even going to reply any more to his text. I'd like to go to Utah and wail the crap out of him...the world has enough BS to deal with without people like him....

Sent him crappy pictures not showing any detail, he answered by text that he can see the car is in good condition, that he wants it to be a surprise for his son, mentioned delivery and BSed about how paypal is secure. Smells scammer all over the place.

Exchanged a few texts with that number today. He was saying he's interested in a car i have for sell and that he could not come see it in person (which is a red flag) and he would like some recent pictures. Asked him for his email address, gave mihellin0023@yahoo.com . I'll take the pictures and send, and will report what happens next.
