It was VIVNT dispatch.  Calling to check on alarm which was accidentally activated

It's a legit alarm company. They just called me in regard to my neighbor's alarm. Never knew I was on their call list but now I know I am! But they left a message with a call back and my neighbor confirmed the company.

This is the number for VIvant which is a good security alarm system.  And they are in Provo, UT.  I've never had a problem with this company, but I'll never say never!

It's VIVINT, a very good security company.  They're dynamic and definitely on the cutting edge of technology.  I recommend them.  

Vivint are thieves!!! I cancelled my services with them over 2 years ago, after fulfilling my contract. I moved out of the home where the equipment is over a year ago. But no matter how many times I call them, they will not stop taking the money out of my account!!! I finally had to change my credit card to get it to stop. I'm now trying to fight them for all of the money they have taken from me without my authorization. Got a call from them today, telling me that I'm behind on my bill!!!! My next step is having my lawyer call them.

Yep. I  have been tricked into signing extensions on my contract by big promises of big discounts. Now, when I have had a big loss of income due to a reallocation at my company and can't pay it, they refuse to work with me. All they offer is give me 2 months to find someone to take over my contract and if I can't, pay up. I refuse to refer ANYONE to this company. I checked into BBB about them, the are NOT a BBB accredited business. There are many complaints of people being pressured into signing contracts by big promises and/or threats of big charges if you don't. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr...........

Theres a need for spitting out info. It is vivant and they've violated our banking info and took unauthorized transactions. First when we signed up for "BBB" as a reliable company known for there "excellent C.S. NOT!!! They still owed us credit's on our account from there initial bbc.co unauthorized withdraw as they caused our account to go negative which really screwed our account causing the negative left us without money for grocery's in our home! Never got that that issue resolved, we authorized 1 translation on our account.  4 days later they took $ from our account that was unauthorized & got repeated calls from a 'Joyce Black" Everyday at all times of the day!! Looks like we'll have to file charges against them as we can't trust them with our bank info, how in the heck can we trust them with our home! You can't! Our bank recommend to deactivate our MC and reassuring a new card so they can never get into our banking account any longer! They are a HUGE solicitor stating (about how the rope you in) Introduces the solicitor by starting with a random name having an appointment for home security. When you state UR not thst person,  they starts roping you in with the whole YOU get this free, that is free and so on. Told her we were not in a position to pay that huge installation fees, stating they have an allowed  funds to help & if she gave us $100 would that help. Then tells you to state to the verification people ask if she'd offered or promised us anything during the signing up processes to lie & state we weren't promised anything from the sales lady which was being recorded.  I should have seen ALL THE RED FLAGS and should have never fell for it. Our land home # is through our wireless carrier.  You should be able for them to completely block the number from your provider for no charge. That's what I'll be doing with every number from them. So people, dont let any comments about this company!! They are bad people & the lady that provide the snide remarks,  I'd bet she works for this DEVIL COMPANY!! I swear that this post from start to finish is solely and completely honest from start to finish! If that person's comment about bring a fool.. don't listen to het/him from commenting on a SHIFTY DUMB A** COMPANY that you cant even trust them with you banking issues, that right there shows you can't trust them with anything that you hold as something special,  I.E. bank & home! Don't get screwed like we did! Comcast (Xfinity) has a home security protection,  and they can use your existing install equipment and its way less at 29.99 a month when Vivant charges you (which they claim is a special monthly payment from their $179.00 to 68 something to 69 something, as there was 2 different amounts! SERIOUSLY,  if they come knocking on your door, make sure you leave your deadbolt on & tell them to get the hell off your property!!

I agree. I've had them for a while and they are on point. They normally leave messages, because they usually call due to an alert on your security system, i.e. burglary.

This alarm company keeps calling though I have never have had a alarm system. When I ask they remove my number and stop calling. They claim there is no account with my number. I am so tired of these calls. They are not removing my number. I am getting very frustrated.

Just got the ring at 6:01 am I was an alarm company didn't tell me who they were but told me they were calling because of xxx adress alarm went off. I dont know anyone with an alarm system

Just gotta a call from this number, Googled it and found out it was an alarm company. Didn't pick up and number blocked as I suspect it's one of the 15 calls we receive each month from "Home Security" firms pitching "free" alarms if you will just put their "...sign in the front yard." Give it a break!

When did the poster say he was his friend's contact person?  He just said it was his friend's alarm company calling - that doesn't mean he's the contact person.

If you are going to agree to be your friend contact in case their alarm goes off then pick up the phone.

Vivent is not bogus. They are an excellent alarm company.

I got  a call from this number linking me with to a family member  about an an alarm that went off. The odd thing is  I am not listed in connection to security with the customer. How did they link me to family as we have different surnames and my number is not linked with the member on any documents but they called me by my first name and family member by the surname???? A bit worrying- do not answer these numbers as they are doing weird things

It is Vivint Security and I am a customer.  

I just got a call from them on my cell telling me the battery is low on my door lock. They're a good company and considering that they are a legitimate security company, they should ensure their name appears on the caller-ID info when they call.  Many people, myself included, won't answer an unknown number because of the number of scams out there and the utter disregard of the Do Not Call list by other companies.  I'm adding this number to my phone's directory so I'll know who is calling in the future.      

Legit alarm company. If you are listed as a contact for someone who has Vivint as their security company, then they may call you if they cannot get in touch with the owner in the event their alarm goes off. My neighbor had me listed as their contact and forgot to inform me. Not smart. I told Vivint when they called me that I did not know what they were talking about, so they sent the police. That visit cost my neighbor $150. After that the neighbor asked me if I would be their contact and gave me their alarm info. It turned out to be a false alarm. An expensive false alarm.

Just got a new home phone# and these people keep calling me. Don't leave messages but call every day.  Some security company in Provo,  Utah.  Answered the phone the other day and told to stop calling, that I was on the do not all list, stop calling.  What does the a**le do?  Calls back again.  Yelled and screamed at him, told him to stop, that I have nothing to do with your company.  So far so good, but only since Saturday and it's Wednesday...  I think they want you to say you do not have a security company to get your info and rob you or solicit the hll out of you.

VIVANT!!! NASTY chronic callers, will not stop even when threatened..

YES this phone number is VIVENT Alarm Company it used to be APX Security.  The problem is they called and there was no response when I answered the phone.  I called back and they were very polite and professional, however they still could not find any reason why they called me, as there were no problems with our Security system.  I guess I must have paid them just enough for them to call me, but not enough for them to actually speak on the phone to tell me why they are calling me.  I guess that's an extra charge.

This is VIVINT alarm company, probably the worst most unprofessional absolute garbage company you could come across, do yourselves a favour and IGNORE this number, I made the mistake of not doing this, I now get called a minimum of 5 times a day sometimes after 9pm at night, they refuse to stop harassing me even after I have screamed at the moron on the other end..... Piece of crap company who provide a garbage service, although they sell services in Canada it is a US based company so you cannot get any real service in Canada.....but they will still take your money.

You obviously didn't read where the poster said he DIDN'T know who the person was they were calling about.  So he's not the idiot here.

Do you read contacts?  The equipment is free not the service.  People are so stupid to think they can get a service for free.  You signed the 5 year contract I don't feel at all sorry for you.  Read contacts you sign or is that above your intelligence level?  I bet you expect your phone food and clothes for free too.

Them someone has obviously listed you add their contact.  This is the number they call from to report alarms.

You idiot. Is a tall alarm company.  I hope you or whoever you are listed as a contact for got charged for a false alarm.  Check your facts before you call a company a scam.  Of course they have to ask you for your security code or the  person that broke in can tell them everything is okay.

You idiot.  You either are with this company or agreed to be listed as an emergency ncontact for a friend.  They have to call someone on their list to notify of an alarm.  They usually answer within 1 minute.  Don't agree to be lasted as a contact of you are dso annoyed by calls. I hope your friend either needed help for a break in our got charged for a false alarm because if your stupidity.
