Have no clue of the #  many calls

Okay, the number calls us every day and our Comcast color ID says: Orem                         UT
No voicemails where ever left, we are on the do-not-call-us list.

These people keep calling telling me that i have requested information on furthering my education, which I have not. I have asked multiple times to be removed from this list and they continue to call.

This number came in on my cell phone, and when I called it back, of course, it's an unassigned number, so no way to know who was using it to reach me. There is a method of ISDN coding which companies can use to unassign a phone number when it is part of a pool, as in a call center.  The actual phone number can be selected randomly, and may not reflect from where the phone call is originating, even if it is outside the country, from inside a prison, in a basement in someone's home, so the phone number itself is irrelevent. I had been receiving repeated annoying calls from a call center in India trying to tell me they had a packet of valuable information for me to apply for government grants, from my own government. They use different persons to continually contact you once they have your name and number. I say "No, don't call" and hang up.  They persist.  I persist.

This same # calls my moms cell.... through Centennial Wireless (Now bought out by verizon/Cellular One)....

doesnt speak, just hangs up..... Calls daily, @ any & every hour..... Disrespectful & Aggrivating!!!!!!!!!! Shows up on ID as:

I have been getting these calls for some time now, and when I do pick up and when there is someone on the other end they ask for my wife by name. (I have been getting the same calls from a Chicago, IL number too.) When I ask what it is regarding, they say my wife has requested information about how to get a college degree and that they are calling from "Education Verification Services". I've asked my wife if she has, and of course she hasn't since she already has both a bachelors degree and a doctors degree in different fields. We are both on the D-N-C list and have an unlisted number, and I have asked this company twice now to put us on their do not call list.

Whoever calls is difficult to understand. I have not requested any information from any source. I am on the do not call registry. Have no way of knowing how to get the calls to stop.

I keep getting phone calls from this Orem and that number 801 229 2252 but it is not for me but for my kids one just turned 19 and the other is 16 and the other is 11.  They know there names creepy.   Trying to now get a hold of the BBB here in AZ.  It is crazy they call all the time.  Then when you call back it says no such number and it is in Utah the number.   We need to all get together and start a no sure but to let them know we are not putting up with this any longer.

That's odd.  I've never had any business dealings with Citibank and I never would.  Remember, they were one of the companies' CEO's who was convicted and sent to pirson for a very long time.

There are so many explanations for who this company is, that I just blocked it anyway.

Same here. They have called me twice in the past couple of days but when I call back I get an error message saying the number is invalid or something like that.

Most likely a scam or a product unlawfully using the name Google.
I wish more people would report this to the FTC rather than whine on this site. 26 pages and growing?
With such a broad range of who this number could be, it is more than likely just a scammer group possibly using a google voice number and possibly the number has been sold multiple times and passed around for various agencies to use then resell or trade. A type of number that can change hands so easily or be sold on E-Bay can potentially be used to circumvent the FTC's enforcement. But it can still be traced if the plaintiffs (complainers? Victims!) are accurate when reporting the time of the calls or if they bother to report them to the FTC at all.

Please people! This site is only to let people know that they can ignore this number and should not call them back. If the people calling with this number are harassing you, then you should report it to the FTC, not just here.

Most people that have a cell phone can customize the ringtone for this number to silent so that they are not bothered. I almost never answer my cell phone. I wait for the voice mail and call them back if they leave one. If they don't leave a voice mail then I know it is not important. Alternatively one could set the default ringtone to silent and customize a non-silent ringtone for numbers of people they know.
For people with a landline, just turn the ringer off and use an answering machine or voicemail or forward the number to your choice of free online voice-mail services. Get in the habit of checking your voice mail regularly at your convenience. The phone should be a tool to benefit you, not a tool for others to harass you. No phone call is so important that it can't wait for one to be prepared for it.

Same here. Maybe if we start reporting them to the FTC then the law will catch up with them. Venting here is not going to do it.

There appears to be an ad posted on this response. I tried clicking the link but got an error. I don't think you will make any money if your link doesn't work. You should always 3rd party verify them. The company you are spamming for is getting free advertising and will never pay you because their links don't work and people who are interested will just go to the main site after the link doesn't work.

WORKS FOR ME.  WATCH OUT REGARDING SIGNING UP FOR WORK ON CRAIGSLIST, ONCE YOU HAVE ENTERED YOUR INFORMATION IT TAKES TO YOU A CAREER SITE, THEN THEY BEGIN CALLING YOU DAY AND NIGHT. THEY WILL ALSO TEXT A MSG OR A 3DIGIT NO AND YOU WILL GET CHARGED 10 BUCKS PER TEXT. NOTIFY CARRIER AND HAVE THEM CREDIT YOUR ACCOUNT.

Stop calling me

I started to getting calls from this # 801-229-2252 on my Home phone 4-5x a day !!!!!!!!  How can I make them stop ?? I have already told them to stop, but they do not answer when I pick up,  just hear a noisy background, but no one answers. What can I do to make them stop??

Take matters into your own hands and block the caller. My cell phone providers lets me selectively do this-- so no more calls for me from 801-229-2252

They call me too times a week and dont said nothing

They call and call, never saying a thing. My number is suppose to be blocked from bogus numbers. I guess they are finding ways to get around it. Please help with these annoying people.

they called 3 times so far havent answered but they leave a msg sayin is this( my name) AND THEN THE MSG STARTS TO SAY IM CRISTIAN CAMP...... AND THEN THE MSG STOPS. it seems as though we all get called by this mysterious number however with all the different descriptions of who it might be, it appears to me that its a scam however you look at it.
