Called me just before 9 last night. If it's a legit company then why call after 8? I have the flu and the call woke me up and I didn't appreciate it nor answer it. They didn't leave a message either.

they called wanting me to participate in a focus group about UTA and public transportation in SLC. Legit company. They paid me 75.00 to discuss the transportation in SLC. Fed me as well. Several easy and pleasant hours. I would do it again. Easy holiday money! :-)

I got a call from them tonight but I couldn't answer... If this is lighthouse research they are a legit company! My parents always did surveys for them and now I have done a couple. They pay you to do pretty simple things like surveys and tell them your opinion.

becareful theres also a scam going on thats someone is using this services name and address to scam individuals for more than a year now.

I picked up and person asked "Hello, can I speak to the sales manager."

Lighthouse Research, I have done many surveys for them and have gotten paid for most of them, when I changed my number I actually called them to update it, they are not scam artists at all and I actually enjoy doing surveys for them and getting paid to give my opinion!!

I've gotten calls from them in the past (they're based in SLC, UT), and once I did a paid research project for them.  They are a legitimate company, but their calls could become annoying if you don't qualify for any of their projects (I've seen $50-80 projects of theirs, but I was fortunate to get a $200 project).

They are just a research firm, doing their job.  They were hired by our city through a grant to do a needs assesment.  I hope people will at least answer questions from them to help our city government know the wants of the people, so that we are able to receive the grants needed to make improvements.  This is a requirement of getting the grant funds.

Called our business line, asked for me by name. When I asked who was calling she gave her name and said "from Lighthouse." I asked what that was and she said it was a professional research firm.  When these clowns start paying me for my information I'd be happy to provide it. Until then, go pound sand.

Called and without saying anything on my voicemail.  Calls frequently.

Asked for my husband by name. Would not leave a message.

I received 2 calls today from this number, I had no idea who it was and I missed the first call... I called back and they said Heritage West Credit Union Survey.  Of course I did participate because that is who I bank with.... About 1/2 hour into the survey they began asking me about loans and such and I hung up the phone... I know that my credit union would not be asking questions like that, also I thought about it and realized that they would not be doing phone surveys.... These people are scam artists.... I had actually learned after I hung up that at the end of the survey they tell you that they are transferring all of the accounts from the old credit union to Heritage West and would need my social and account number.... HA!!!! What a joke. Later on a female by the name of Meghan called me back and asked if I would like to finish my survey.. I advised her that I recall my credit union saying they would not be doing phone surveys to watch out for these scams and hung up the phone.  I have not heard from them since.

Oh yeah, I also called 411 to have the phone number reversed and there was no number in her system

i just got a call 2 calles from that number hi sname is john white  i asked him what state he was calling from  he told  me he was just a paralegal  and then i started telling he was a scam and tehn they called again and i told them not to call here anymore and hung the phone up

tHEY KEEP CALLING ME ALL DAY TODAY. They hang up every time I answer the cell.

They had been calling me so I called back and asked to be taken from their list. They were really nice, and asked if I worked selling phones, I said I worked for AT&T. I had forgotten I agreed to do a survey on a training class I took, and it consisted of only one question, so it was no big deal.

I just completed a work survey with them that consisted of one question after I agreed to take the survey months ago, they seem pretty legit since they were employed by BlackBerry to do their trainer evaluation survey.

We never ask for that personal information. You must have misheard or you're just exaggerating.

It is lighthouse research and development. We are hired by different clients (I.e. wgu) to contact their customers and students to get opinions and update their data.

After receiving first call (Which I did not answer)  I checked out the posts on this site.  I decided to call them ,myself and check them out.  The polite young woman at this organization explained that they do several different research studies every week so she wasn't sure which study they had been contacting me about but gave me some possibilities.  We chatted for awhile.  They are paid by many companies you would recognize to do market research.  Armed with that information I was satisfied that they are a legit company and hoped they would call again so  I too might receive some pocket money for my time.  Yesterday, they did call again and I answered; I think it was the same woman.  Asked me about a topic that I was familiar enough with to see if I might participate.  They would pay me $25.00 for my time--about 15 minutes--that works out to $100/hr.  Pretty good money.  I answered a series of questions regarding the frequency of choosing this particular type of product, brand names, and other pertinent questions.  She was very pleasant and helpful when I didn't understand the question.  At the end she asked me if I would like to continue to be a participant for the future.  I said certainly.  When I don't have to leave home to make some money that works for me!

Called and worked with them to do a survey on website searching for some company.  Received $100 for it.  Don't think they are (typically, at least in my case) typical telemarketers so it may be worth finding out what they're after in other cases.  I enjoyed the time doing the survey for them and the money didn't hurt either.
