No mesage, No Caller I.D. Area Code 801 is Salt Lake City .... we don't know anyone there, nor do we owe any bills. We never answer any unknown calls but we are tired of these calls.... Can you imagine what it would have been like if we were not on the Do Not Call lists? Some one should invent a means where the calls are automatically looped back to the caller to give them a taste of their own medicine ...(once we enter the repeat offender's number)

My call came up as a cell from Utah also. I pressed 9 to tell them to take us off the list. I told him we were on the DNC list. He refused to give me a name or specific info needed to report them.
He said they are not telemarketers hahaha! He could not tell me which of my cards specifically they service. "We service all MC, Visa, Discover and American Express cards."
I told him that I don;t have any cards that they could service and if they call back I will report them as telemarketers violating the DNC registry.

Received a call this AM. "Going to lower my credit card interest." I've been fed up for a long time with the "do not call" list not working the way it should, so I bought a new Panasonic phone which has its own built in call block feature. I'm sure many companies must make phones with this feature too. It works like this: after you receive the call you can go back to your call list and save the number as "call block." The next time that number calls you they get a brief ring (while your phone ID's the number) then they get a busy signal, and then they get disconnected. I LOVE this feature. I'm also able to block "unknown," "private," calls or any caller that doesn't display a number to my caller ID. I've blocked all knids of these calls and 800 numbers galore. Happy Holidays everyone!

me too - same thing. Press 9. I did, but he would not say what company he was with. I reported the number to the national do not call list web site.

I received a call from them this afternoon but did not pick up. Got no message and didn't know anyone from utah so I haven't called back. However I'd like to have fun with them so I might think of giving them a fake credit card number. I'll add a letter to the credit card number and tell them I live on the train.

Got a call this morning. No message left. But I do recognize the number from before. I have a new phone system that blocks unwanted calls, so their number is now in the list.

I have been getting same calls nonstop for a few months now. Tried everything that I could to trace the number with no luck. Decided today to take a different aproach. I pressed 9 and "Joe" answered the phone. I was plesent and listened to his whole scripted speech. I told him that I was very interested in his offer, but had someone on the other line and could I call him back. Anyone interested in the real # to contact these loosers call 1-800-847-2911---Ask for "JOE" and please tell him Jeffery says HI! Hope this helps!

Just rec'd call. No message left. Tried to call back, but get busy signals. Suggest you not pick-up phone when they call. Let them continue to waste their time as well.

Received a call from this number a few minutes ago(came is as Utah Call). They said it was in regards to my credit card. I don't have a credit card other than my debit issued from my bank. Knew it was a scam and didn't press 9 like they said. Don't take this call or go any further than listening to the robot lady on the other end.
Me 2011-06-06 20:58:53 Unknown
I received a call from them today but didn't answer because I was at work. I have no debt and have not had a credit card since 2006 so there is absolutely no reason for them to call me. I would be a prime example that they don't have any connections to credit cards.
Joe 2011-06-06 20:58:53 Unknown
i told them to remove my number and the say goodluck to me and hung up
Susan 2011-06-06 20:58:53 Unknown
I received a call from this number; it came up as "wireless caller" which is the only reason why I answered the unknown call figuring it must be someone I knew. The woman on the recording was from "account services" telling me that I needed to talk to someone about reducing my credit card rate and to press 9 to speak to a representative. I pressed 9 and got a young man who began pleasantly until I interrupted him almost immediately to tell him to take me off his call list. He hung up without another word! Based on the other comments, I expect that I'll be hearing from them again soon. So much for the federal do not call list!!!

I have been receiving this crap too only lately when they call I press the number get someone to talk to, we talk a bit and then I tell them I am the County Sheriff and they are being recorded and traced by the local FBI Agent in my office as we speak and would they like to talk to him, they immediately either hang up or promise to remove my number, BS they still called again today.

Same as above. Call from "cardholder Services" I don't want these people calling me on my cell phone. Hoe can it be stopped?
Brad 2011-06-06 20:58:53 Unknown
This is a credit consolidation company. I actually took the time to listen to the prerecorded message and then pressed the appropriate key (if I recall correctly, "1") to speak with a customer service representative. She hung up on my after I attempted to explain that I wanted to be removed from the calling list. I too am infuriated by such irritating phone calls and tried to call this number back, whereupon I get only a rapid busy signal. It is clear that this at best a shoddy organization and almost certainly one operating outside of the law.

LML,
I receive the same exact call at least once a week. Last week I tried to see the woman AVON. It is so annoying since they always hang up on me. I always ask where they are calling from and how they got my number. This place needs to be shut down ASAP.

I received a call from the same number tonight. I pressed 9 to speak to a "live" customer representative, they answered card hold services, would u like to lower your interest rate on your MasterCard or Visa? I said u tell me if I have a MC or Visa u called me. They hung up.

Received a call this morning from 801-503-8622 (according to *69, but that doesn't mean it's a real number.) It's the same idiots from "Card Holder Services" who also call themselves "Account Services" and a few other fake, always generic names. Robo-call informed me that the call was regarding my credit card account but that there was nothing wrong with my account, they want to lower my interest rate, and to consider this my final offer. (Yeah, right! As if! The arses keep calling because they're scam artists.) I hit 9 to talk to one of the scammers and asked him which credit card he was talking about. He said they cover all Visa, MasterCard, etc. I told him the message specified that it was regarding MY credit card account. He made another generic statement. I told him I had one thing to say to him... and blew an emergency whistle as loudly as I could into the receiver. Small satisfaction but I'll take it. If you ever want to see the mark of a scam, when you get one of these calls from the so-called "Card Member Services" (etc., etc.), try pinning them down as to their real, actual company name, address, valid call-back number, etc. I've tried it before and they try to bluff at first and then hang up on me. If THAT isn't the sign of a scam artist at work, I don't know what is. Oh, and don't think choosing the option to be on their do-not-call list works. That only works with legitimate companies. I pressed that option numerous times in the past and they just keep calling because, apparently, they must think that I'll suddenly become stupid and fall for their scam. I know it should be common sense but I'll say it anyway: Whatever you do, DO NOT give them (or anyone else who calls you) your credit card number. That's what they're after.
Mrs Z 2010-12-17 13:30:01 Unknown
Scammers. Don't answer; don't give ANY info if you do. They called me and I did not pick up. If it is someone I know they will start to leave a message and then I will pick up. Otherwise, THEY, are outa' luck. Put your ringer on the least rings possible so they are shot to your answering machine quickly.

Have 3 houses. Get phone calls for this machine calling herself Rachel about our problem credit cards at all houses (4 landlines between the houses). We have no problems with our credit so no reason to believe the call is legit. This has been going on for over a year now. Finally got so frustrated that I cussed out the "Rachel machine" last time it called. Amazingly, haven't had another landline call (over a month now). I did, however, get the "Rachel machine" calling my cell phone today. AT&T says I can't block just one number. What in the world do I do now? I''m going to be going on a major warpath if I have to pay to receive calls from a machine I have told off so many times now that I'm having nightmares about it.

These idiots called again today and I blocked them.
