Its a State of Utah general number and can't be returned.  It means that someone in a State of Utah government office building is calling - they should be leaving a v-mail indicating what department and a return call number.

You can stop the calls by registering on the Do Not Call List.  
They are making the calls with an autodialer, that is why it calls and does not leave a message.

Just called my cell, said this a non returnable state of utah government call.  WIERD!

801 521-6210  This number is blocked from ever calling me, now or ever.  The number called 6 times in sept and got my message= (2 seconds of empty air and then disconnected).   This is how I deal with them. Don't give them a chance to have any type of communications.  End the call before it begins. Block all unwanted numbers that may call you before they call you.  People get one chance with me then they get blocked from ever calling me a second time.  I have numbers that are on my blocked out list for over ten years.
I do my phone work every day blocking out any and all telemarketers, solicitors, governments and so on.
I have a couple thousand phone numbers on my blocked list that is filtered to a disconnect recording when they call me while I go answering the phone to all my customers.  Some of these people call every year, year and cannot ring my phone. smile.  Sept 2013

I just put in a claim for unemployment then received a call from this number today.  I didn't hear the phone and there was no message but considering it seems to be a Utah government number, I assume it's from Workforce Services (DWS).

Valid number 6/25/13, I filed for unemployment and they were calling to give me information on the claim.  I didn't answer it based on the above comments but they did leave a msg and gave me a different # to call back.

This call was from the Utah State Tax Commission wanting an email address because they are no longer sending paper statements. This call back number did not work

I'm being called by this number, and followed by cars constantly. How do I put this there looking in the wrong direction...

It gets really annoying when uneducated people throw around the "taxpayer" defense. Do you not think or understand that most employees for the State are taxpayers as well!!  Most of them are not agents or officials that get the tax break. Yet they work hard to service you and all the other ungrateful citizens, with no raise in pay. They are just trying to earn a living to feed and clothe their families. No I am not a state employee, just tired of the "taxpayer" jargon misused. If you are passionate about being a taxpayer, get educated on taxes before your mouth runneth over.

This is a legit number.  I found this number on my caller ID the next day and could not remember getting the call and looked it up.  Then I remembered I got a call from the Insurance licensing dept in response to a call I had made earlier.  The calls from this number could come from hundreds of departments as it is a Utah State office building that has the dept of Commerce, the Attorney General and a zillion others.  I could give you the name of the person but that is not necessary and there is nothing unusual about calls from this number unless you are a real estate crook.  I had to go there to testify against one last year and the year before.

Utah Department of Workforce Services

I have been receiving calls from this number at my office everyday for the past week. They only call when I am not actually in the office. They always leave me a voicemail, but it only consists of what sounds like a fax machine beeping. It would be nice if they left a message that indicates why they are calling me and how to call them back. Would also be nice if they called during normal hours. This is actually getting quite annoying!

I received a call from Utah Sate Goverment they wanted to have me do a survey for 15 minutes.  I felt that something was not right!!! I pulled up the phone number 801 521 6210 and there were not good reviews for this phone number.  Something seems very FISHY about it.  I would not recommend answering this phone number.

I figure if it's a legit state number or agency calling for official business, they would leave some kind of message.  A call from the State of Utah at 7:45 in the evening SCREAM bogus/telemarketer/scam/spoof etc.

I am getting a lot of calls with this number in the caller-id.  When it calls I get a voice that says "Press 1 to answer or press 2 to ignore"  When I press 1 it disconnects.  I am going to try pressing 2 next time.

It could be any Utah State Agency calling. Child support, unemployment, Universities, Tax commission etc.

it is  a number for many different government offices. I received it when it was the U of U doing a survey.

This is a general number that shows up for a number of different state agencies.  I finally answered it and haha it was just my dad calling from his work office (yes he works for the state).

As can be seen by the various other posts, this number belongs to various Utah State Government Agencies.  In fact if any other government institution calls you it will be this number and will be non-returnable.  So whether it is health services, the DMV, or the state agriculture department, it will be the same thing.  So when you see this number on your caller ID it is the government calling.  Although you probably won't know which agency within it.

Odd that you can't block this number, but here's a possible alternative;
Make a group in your phone that you save unwanted numbers to, then set that ring tone to "silent".

Says the number is nonreturnable phone number and to "please excuse the call".

to UDOH employee.   You have been calling my number every day for the past several weeks.   However, you never leave a message.   That's called HARRASSMENT.    If what you (or whoever) is calling about is not important enough to leave a message, then it's not important enough to call.    And, if it is important, write me letter.   I would prefer that any business done with a government agency be done in writing.   So, notify whomever and tell them to stop calling.

For me it was a call I've waited years to receive. It was Utah Vital Records calling to tell me the name of my birth mother!

To mamabamba - I am an employee of the department of health who works in the UDOH survey center.  Because of the nature of our work, the survey center is open on Fridays and Saturdays in order to ensure the best scientific practice.  The number that shows up on caller ID is a generic, state department number that appears for several state agencies.  Hope this clarifies your situation!
