They are the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Northern Utah.  I gave them a donation a few years ago and they have called every year since.  I am a member of VFW, and will not donate to these folks.  I received a letter earlier this year that said if I would give a mail donation they wouldn't be calling.  I didn't give through the mail either, so this is what I get.  I think I checked and it is out and much of the donations go to overhead.  For those of you who say you're on the do not call registry, charities and political solicitations are exempt from do not call.  Do not call only applies to telemarketers.

Phone rang 3 times, no one was there when I answered...

Answered someone asked for our President of the company and stated he was with the Kansas chief of police's... Would not leave message just said he'd call back.

Has called me many times over the past few weeks.  I answer and no one is there - or there is static in the back ground.  I returned the call today and it was a recording for the same Veteran's thing as stated above - not sure what this is for...

Shows up on caller ID almost every day over the past week but never found a message from them.

Called the number back, got a message for the VFW (Veteran's of Foreign Wars)...wonder why they don't say anything when people answer the phone??

Have received calls from this number at least five times in the last two weeks.  No messages are left.  The two times I answered it no one was on the line.

They call about 3 or 4 times a week. I have answered a couple time just to get hung up on. One time I answered and said please take me off your list and stop calling me and it was just another hang up.

we let the call go to voice mail and no message was left. we were thinking maybe it is a call center and they are soliciting funds because yesterday was Veteran's Day.  just a thought...

The number was on my Caller ID when I got home late this morning. Caller ID said only "UTAH". I called the number. A recording played that said the original phone call was a fundraising call soliciting donations for Veterans of Foreign Wars of America and they would be calling back.

I have called by number 801-3791989, nobody answered. It is scum and it is illegal!

Me either. I just got a call from them as well. They called my cell phone. I always like to investigate an organization, I want to know how much of the dollar is going to the actual charity.

Said my name, told them wrong number and to add my number to the Do Not Call list. next time i get a call from that number, I will report to the FCC. I have no time for annoyances or frauds

They call multiple times per day and then there is no one on the other end.  I am on DNC list- like spk I am tired of it and would love to report this number.

Called, wouldn't leave a message

they told me it was to help our soldiers in iraq. i tol them i just got laid off and i have no income. they wanted my credit card number , i refused to give it to them , then i hung up the phone. my number is on the do not call list, yet it is listed in the phone book.

They called and talked to my wife.  When she said for them to just send us the information in the mail.  They gave some lame excuse that they have been getting stolen and lost so they don't do that anymore, but wanted to my wife to give them a charge number.  Like that is safe.  BE WARE.

When I answered the phone, nobody said anything, so I hung up.

I also received a call from this number and they said they represent the veterans. As a veteran that is familiar with several veterans organizations I suspected something wasn't right, called them on it and they choked, became flustered then I hung up.  Never trust anyone over the phone without properly investigating the organization they represent.

Same thing.  My husband answered and they asked for me.  My name is mot listed on the phone as we use it for a business.  When he said I was not available they hung up.  Anyone know who this is?

My business phone got a call from this number.  I didn't recognize the caller ID so I didn't answer.

Phone wrang and NFWUT appeared. Not sure hwo this group is but am also on the national Do Not Call list. Who is NFWUT anyway?
