Got a call yesterday from "Eyewitness News"  Like the others let go to VM and did not leave a message.  And I live in Kansas.

Got a call from 801-618-2082 but they left no message. Called ID said "EyeWitness News"

Received a call from 801-618-2082, with caller ID "EYEWITNESS NEWS".  Didn't get to talk to anyone.  Seems suspicious since I don't live in Utah.

Don't call unless you have something worthwhile to report.

I received a call from this phone number this evening. It was a recording supposedly from one of the News Anchors from either Minneapolis or St. Paul, MN. The message asked if I had voted in the General Election. I was told to press 1 for yes and 2 for no. Of course, I pressed 1 since I had voted. When the recording started listing the candidates and the number to press for whichever one I had voted for, I hung up.

Same deal here - odd, suspicious and apparently fraudulent phishing. It appears that being perspicacious/cynical (you pick) has made wary over paranoid.

got the same call.  I answered the call because I found it wierd that "Eyewitness News" would be calling me.  They hung up on me without saying a word like teleamarketers when they are polling to find out when you are home.

Just recieved the call. kind of ironic, I was watching the local ewn and just as the commercial came on, the phone rang.   Did not answer, they did not leave a message. will not answer.

They called around 7pm CT ...the ID showed " EYEWITNESS NEWS" ...did not pick it up...and they did not leave a message. Our number is on a " do not call" list.

Call came from 801-618-2082. Caller ID said from Eyewitness News. They did not leave a message when the answering machine picked up. I don't even live in Utah!!

If they were in fact trying to poll, I seriously doubt they'd have liked my answers to their questions anyway. If people want to know what I think, try calling me from the state I actually live in? It makes no sense for Utah polling to be polling outside of Utah, if they want to know what their state's people think of their government! How the heck are they going to get an accurate report? Or maybe they're just too scared of getting a bad report, maybe??

I guess being on the National DO NOT CALL list has no bearing on telemarketers, news surveys, or anyone else anymore??

Credit Card company Collection Agency deception.  They are trying to pin down where you are!

Answered the phone, which I rarely do, because there was an I.D.  They are getting smarter, arent' they?

Came home from a long day with this number from "Eyewitness News" and was immediately suspicious. Of course there was no message left for us.

Didn't get to the phone quick enough before call went to voicemail. Was suspicious so I googled the number and came to your website. My mind is more at ease knowing what it is all about. Now I'm sorry I didn't answer so I could tell the researcher what I think about my governor. NJ needs a change.

Caller ID Eye Witness News. I know they are not calling me.

No Phone Message!

Same as other posts.  Did not answer.  No voice mail message.

It left a message as though it were beginning a poll

Said "Eyewitness News," but since I recognized the Utah area code and I live in Connecticut, I knew it was a scam and  didn't pick up.

call came today , did not leave a message . Eyewitness news - we are a do not call number.

I answered. Voice was Bill Ritter, anchor on WABC-7 New York.
Questions were about upcoming NYC Primary for Mayor, Controller, and Public Advocate. I completed the survey using Touch Tones.

Later out of curiosity I called 801-618-2082. Recording said if I wanted to be surveyed, leave ten-digit number, a Researcher will call back.
Since I'd done a survey, didn't leave my number.

Just got the call, didn't pick it up since I didn't know the area code.

Very weird. I was going to pick up but I got kind of nervous because I didn't know the area code and I live all the way in New York.

ALso received this call. No message.
