this company calls me so many times a day, i think today already i've gotten at least 10 missed calls, and never any messages.

Received a call this morning from this #. After shouting "hello" about 10 times a lady answered simply saying "I'm calling to verify the mailing address for Arianna Blackwell." I said "I've never heard of that person." Then the lady said she must have the wrong # and hung up. 09/03/2013 around 10:30am MST

This number is being used for texting advertisements of sales deals to customers who provide their phone numbers to vendors. I get texts about one every 2 months, but particularly around holidays. The vendor I receive texts from is Quiznos on about 4600 South Highland Drive. I don't mind because they give me good deals at about the interval I go there.

Thank you for putting a link to the national do not call registry.  I have been wondering how to do that.

Interesting. It seems like after a few years of lull from this number they are back at it again. I got the call yesterday, but hardly answer my phone and so I looked it up today to find all this. Must be the same.

I got one of these the other day. Kicker: Rachel said "We need to speak to Fname, Lname. We found your resume on Monster. You need to call us." Then she provided the number. I did not call back since it sound sham-my, and I can't imagine a recruiter calling me for the first time and sounding this way. So, though of you who have resumes on job boards, that may be the source of your phone number to these people. It is my first time getting the call, to my knowledge.

They call me REPEATEDLY, eventhough I've already told them that I am NOT the person that they are attempting to reach and they've said time and time again that they will take my number off their list.  This is on my cell.  The person that used to own my cell number continues to give it out whenever she signs up for something, apparently.  I've tried the screaming thing before- and even blared death metal at them.  Doesn't work for me.  Threat of legal action doesn't even seem to work on ANY of these collectors.  I used to be a collector, I can't imagine the amount of shady you'd have to be to pull the tricks some of these collectors and telemarketers do.  And this one says it's trying to lower your credit rate and such?  I can tell you- the person my nuisance calls are coming from doesn't need any sort of credit card lol.  If there were still debtor's prison, this lady would be in there!

I called the actual company, The Green Savers, and told the receptionist dude that he was violating federal law and that he shoudl be heeding the do not call list. He was actually nice and said he'd take my numbers off their lists. Of course now I will probably get 9,000 calls. Grrrreat.

Same deal, recorded message. I pressed 9 to get a human so I could raise holy hell, and instead I only heard a click. A human never came on the line.

Had a voicemail but only background noise then hung up.

Get calls from this number occasionally. I never answer because I know they are crooks. I am on the Do Not Call list. Does being registered do any good?

Yet another call from an undialable number.  Makes a wierd noise, maybe off shore?

I just received a call from this number and they said it was Rachel with card services and asked me to press 9 to speak with a rep about lowring my credit card interest to as low as 6.9%.  It is amazing how fast they hang up on you when you ask what credit card company they are from. WOW!!

WHEN I GET THESE MACHINE CALLS FROM 801-657-8177 AND LOTS OF OTHERS, THAT I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO, I CLICK  THE POUND SIGN ABOUT 5 TIMES REAL FAST AND IT REMOVES MY PHONE NO. FROM THEIR MACHINE.

I continue to receive calls from this number. They leave no message and no one there if I actually decide to answer the call.  Very frustrating...

When I got a live operator, I asked what company they represent and they hung up on me. Don't give them any info.

Credit services spam.

This number showed up on my cell phone as a missed call.  Since I didn't recognize the number I thought I'd try calling from my land-line to see who answered.  What I got was an annoying high to low bell sound (doo - da - doo - da).  Guess I'll add this number to my blocked call list!

I just got a call from this bogus outfit.  Put them on my reject list.  I HATE THIS STUFF!

The won't quit calling me. I don't have a credit card and am on the Do Not Call list.

Got the same call today and hundreds more just like them over the last four years.  This is a phishing call.  There is an organization that calls under different scenarios - mainly under the guise of "Credit Card Services".  They also use the expired warranty theme on your car as bait in some of their call.  An automated voice says "Hi, this is Rachel (Heather, etc) from Credit Card Services" and that if you have $XXXX.00 in credit card debt then you are eligible to have your debt cut.  If you do hold on to speak to someone and then ask for an address or call back number (confront them), they will hang up on you or, in some cases, cuss you out.  Whatever you do, do not give your CC# to them.  What they do is call your CC company, verify the number, and then charge you for a service they do not deliver.  No use trying to report them to the FCC, the FTC, or "Do Not Call" as they spoof (display) a fake phone number.  There is not enough info for the government upon which the government can act.  However, if the government ever gets a hold of these people, the fines hopefully will be in the billions.  In all likelihood, the calls are coming from outside the US but show up as coming from a valid US phone number.  This week the calls appear to be from Salt Lake City.  Three years ago, they were supposedly calling from Florida.  In a few months, they will appear to call from another state.

This number keeps calling me and I am on the do not call list.

Card Services is a scam, pure and simple. They couldn't care less about the DoNotCall registry. They're breaking the law anyway, so why would they be concerned? They use autodialers until they get a hit and then keep trying until they convince someone to give them information.

They are nearly impossible to track and they've been in operation for years.

They try to get credit card numbers and other pertinent information. Sometimes they'll sell you a non-existent service (like promising to lower your interest rates) for a fee of over $400. Nothing ever materializes on the interest rate front, and you're out a chunk of change.

Don't give them any info. Call your credit card company directly if there is any question about your account.
