We call you since were paying for college and the hours are flexible. We can do our homework while were working, and pick pretty much our own hours. I am working three jobs to pay for school and life, BRG if just one of them. Our introductions takes us ten whole seconds to do. If you do not want to share your answers than ask nicely to be removed from our calling list.
I do not, nor does my company go through and pick your numbers because we really want to call you. There is a button on your screen that says "Call" I push that, then your number comes up. The people who hire us give us your numbers to call so that means, YOUR banks or credit unions, YOUR grocery stores, YOUR pharmacists or anyone you have given your number to over the years. We do not sit outside your windows waiting for you to be in the middle of dinner, be on the phone or for something to be going down, or waiting for you to be putting your children to bed. We call from 3-9:30 our time, so 5-8 your time zone.
When you do not answer, we click another button that says "voice mail" and your number goes back into the system to be called. SO not picking up your phone does little, it is no good for you hoping that we will get the idea. Also picking up the phone but not saying anything is a "No answer" since we did not speak to anyone your number goes back into the system. Yelling and screaming at us, and calling us all the horrible things you can think of is just hurtful. It does not get us to do what you want even faster, your not getting your point across. It does nothing but hurt whoever calls you.
The state and national "do not call list" is only for telemarketers we do market research. I realize most of you do not care about the difference, but your threats of suing not only the company but the poor caller who had the misfortune of calling you will not work, because we are not trying to sell you anything.
Just please do not tell me to kill myself and that I do not have a soul and the I deserve to die, and no one to miss me, and that fate is still too good for me. It hurts.

Got another call from them tonight. Apparently, they thought they hung up because they left a message over 90 seconds long of two or more people discussing how stupid my name was and making fun of it. What a coop full of professionals, eh?

I never answer these calls from an 800 number. I only take calls from numbers I know...
It's their problem not mine......Maybe someone has a job and is making living making these calls and I can't blame them for earning a living. HY

They call me a few times a week. I usually miss the call.
Today, Saturday, at 3:45 PM, I said "Hello...." there was silence, I said "Hello..." then a female voice responded with "Hello...and then a giggle", then she hung up.
When I dialed the number back, it was busy...

I answered the call and they said the they were doing research on fast food companies. (first they asked to speak to someone between the ages of 18 and 49). I told him that we were too busy to take the 5 minute survey.

I rec'd a call at 9:11 pm and I was awaken from a sound sleep. When I answered no one appeared to be on the other end. I will be reporting this call and the number to the authorities and will follow thru with procecution if necessary to deter these idiots that have nothing better to do with their time.

I have been receiving hang-up phone calls and when I dialed *69 the 1-801-705-5259 came up. These calls happen in the evening right around 7pm. They are annoying and unwelcomed. Usually there is some kind of background noise and then I'm hung up on, once I say "hello."
Carolyn 2011-06-06 20:58:57 Unknown
They call several times a day and there is no one there. When I call them back (to tell them not to call anymore, I get a busy signal.

Repeat calls for hours, noone is there when I say hello. I am on the Do not Call Registry. Very annoying.

These people have been doing this to me for years ...I asked to be removed , only to be put back on their call list in a few weeks or months. I work "freelance" ...they fill up my machine ...with nothing so it's costing me money as those trying to leave me a message have no room!
Same crap as all of you get...multiple calls, no message, all times of day & night. I got five calls from them today so I called their presidents number 5 times tonight. Left 1 message to remove my number on his machine then called 4 more times and just let his machine "time-out" on it's incoming message. What goes around .....comes around! We will see how Mr. Carter likes have his machine full of crap. If I get another call will report them to the FCC complaint line. Give him a call: (or calls)

It's no wonder why no one really understands market researching, because it is so quickly and mistakenly confused with telemarketing.
They are actually two seperate and distinctly different entities.
Telemarketing is the business of soliciting a product or service, which is not always used for an honest business practice, while market research is used only for the sole purpose of surveys, and getting to know what you, the consumer finds attractive and practical in goods and or services.
This is why market research companies (along with non profit organization charity fund raising efforts) are completely exempt from the Do Not Call registry.
Understand??
Lynn 2007-12-21 04:16:43 Unknown
How do you block a number? I am so sick of this number calling. Many, many times a day.
Ollie 2007-12-11 02:35:07 Telemarketer
Very stubborn person. Tells me that he wants my opinion for a survey about grocery stores - - even after I tell that we are on 'NO-CALL-LIST'.
Very annoying calls. If to count in that I work at home, and I lost some money answering this call (I am on financial market that doesn't allow losing time), you would understand my anger.
Please, protect our rights that are coming from US Government for to be LEFT ALONE, to have 'No-Calls-Protection' so no telemarketing, no survey's agents would hurt me and my children with unwanted and illegal interruption.
I am Ollie, mother of 4 sons, and I prefer to feed my kids without to get bothered.

Keep getting called everyday from research companies. This time it was from BRG. The person calling was a Steve. They are so annoying and a laywer needs to be contacted in order for this to be stopped.

My 9 yr old daughter picked up and they scared her to death because they were obviously on the phone but did not say anything. She usually does not answer the phone and I picked up and heard the background noise and no one answered. It was very weird. I am glad I looked this up. Scumbags.

5 calls in the last week. Hung up on 3 times, even on the 1st ring! I called thier 800 # (866-373-9923) and some guy answered "Hello?" Very shady to me. He claims that he will look up our phone # on a list and put it on a 'do not call' list within the company. Wouldn't tell me his name. Also says it's unusual to get hung up on, but not from what I've read on the other reports. I think I'm going to call him and hang up a few times.
