Got the call on my cell phone at 09:43 CST this morning. Lots of initial noise or interference and then something that sounded like a recording in Spanish. No reply when I said, "hello?"

Nonsense call.  Spanish then the rest like people here said.  I liek this site though.

Got a call and caller id shows US GOVERNMENT, was a loud racket at beginning  and then some spanish girl talking super fast. I called the number back and was a weird spanish-british dudes voice. Really weird that so many people are getting calls from this outfit. WTF???

I received a call. I missed it and i called back. It said that it is a travel related call. We can call you back later.

Got it while I was napping. Called back, couldn't understand it.

Received call on cell phone when I was not able to answer.
Later looked at call, no message was left.
Still later, when I looked for the #, a male voice asked me to enter my 10-digit phone #.  Needless to say , I did not.

got the spanish call about winning money and pressing one.  it hung up before i pressed one.  Called back and got the recording.  No real idea.

AAFES (pronounced A-feez) is sort of a low-scale wal-mart on Army and Air Force bases.  Can't imagine how the number got listed as theirs or how someone else could use their number.  Any conspiracy theorists out there?

Last week I signed up for some free stuff at a website and had to enter my phone number. Then later I get these phone calls.

The number 801-736-4440 is from Fort Douglas in Utah. I'm not certain exactly what part of the military, but it appears it is either some sort of supply for the military, or a store that sells military gear. It came up as FT Douglas RTL.

I get calls from this number about once a week on my sprint phone.

So this is what our tax dollars are paying for? So that someone can scam people using military equipment and phone exchanges? Gotta love it.

I got the phone call, JUST NOW, at 5:48pm, Eastern. It was a weird Vincent Price-ish voice saying:
"Hello... You've just won a free trip to...

"MEXICO!

"To claim your prize, press 1, now."

I got a call on my cell phone from this number 801-736-4400 at 7:32 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008.  Didn't get to the call before it stopped ringing; no message left.  When I started to call it back, my cell phone indicated it was a call from Utah, so I hung up before the call completed (don't know anyone there).

Hunting around the web, I saw that the number is listed as belonging to the Army-Air Force Service Exchange at Ft. Douglas in Utah.  Found a PDF document on line that listed a "Fraud, Waste & Abuse Hotline" for the AAFSE.  I called and left a voicemail about the call I received from their Utah location, and directing them to check out this website regarding other folks' comments about receiving a call from this number on Nov. 10 and 11, and that some seemed to report that the call was an attempt to defraud Spanish-speakers.

Got a call today, Spanish robo-call, no idea what they were talking about.

Same thing. Missed call. No message left. My wife got the same yesterday.

I wish it would stop calling my and my daughters phone....

Recording in Spanish.  Said something about dinero.  When I called it back got a recording in English about a travel agency and they wanted my phone number etc...  I said heck no haha

Nov. 12th, 2008  ?Scam call from 801 736-4400  Spanish messege.  Did not listen.

Just received a call from the same number on my AT&T cell. There was a lot of "chaos" when I picked up and then something in Spanish  about pressing number 2. There was no caller ID text or business name.

I started getting calls from these numbers after i applied for a payday loan online. After that i received calles from the following numbers: 866-640-5585, 858-228-5551, 801-736-4400, 978-254-2048, 858-228-5586, 978-254-2048.

Got a call from this number at around 11:00 am on my cell. It hung up when I answered.
