The Salt Lake Valley Firefighters Association is calling people who live
2 1/2 hours outside of the Valley for their fund raiser.  Give me a break.

All I heard when I answered the phone was foul language...over and over.  I couldn't tell if he was talking to me or someone in the room where he was because there was a lot of background conversation.

unfortunately, unless you speak to the caller directly, you will not be able to get your number removed from this list--the firemen's association is considered a charitable organization, not a solicitor, so the "do not call" registry does not apply.

I am on the Do Not Call list, and despite repeated requests to remove my name and number from their lists, I still get calls.

I have been contacted by this number numerous times. They ask for donations for the firefighters. I have asked them repeatedly to remove me from their call list and yet I am still getting calls from them.

I do not like solicited calls. I guess it is time to put my number into the Annual customer do-not-call notification Registry. That number is 1-866-290-4236. You must call from the phone number you wish to register. This might not work with the fireman's association, but if you request that they take your number off the list, they have to do it.
I also live several hours outside of Salt Lake city! But I do know that they have called me from SLC in the past asking for funds for our local association. Enough. I donate when I am able. I wasn't home when they called so I am sure they will try again.
