GOT A CALL FROM 801-478-2909 FROM A "BILL ARMSTRONG". HE SAID THAT I NEEDED TO GROW UP AND TAKE RESPONCIBILITY. THAT I SHOULD SHOW SOME INTEGRETY AND SETTLE MY MATTER. HE ALSO STATED THAT I HAVE TILL 5PM TODAY TILL ITS OUT OF HIS HANDS. AND IT WILL GET ALOT WORSE FOR ME. THEY HAVE BEEN CALLING ME A FEW TIMES. HE WAS VERY RUDE ON THE MESSAGE THAT HE LEFT.

Well this guy was preatty much rude. he called some numbers of my family anf friends and claims to me that these are my numbers and on my  name, which is not the case. He said I am playing this little games and he doesn't want to play games, Etc...Really rude and lecturing me on my responsibility and moral.

i got a call from a guy names chris something, I cant remember the last name. he helped me cleanup my credit. I didnt want to deal with it at first, but I was glad I did after i talked to him

I as well didn't know who was calling, I am glad I looked on here and saw the comments. I accidentally allowed a dental bill to slip through the cracks and was very thankful to speak with them, I don't have things in collections usually. I pay my bills! I spoke with a Katie Johnson and she was very helpful, she even helped me with my credit! My suggestion is call them and show that you are going to get your matter resolved and I think you will be happy to deal with them. I am also aware of the laws, they are very strict! If your wondering about this # and don't want things in collections and or on your credit, I say call that # back, but hey that's me...and my matter is resolved! Thanks SRL

They were actually really nice to me and they helped me get this worked out. Yes, they were a little aggressive at first but when I told them i actually wanted to take responsibility they changed their tune and we got this worked out.

Caller told me they were calling me from Stevens Henager College and I still owe on schools loans, but wouldn't give me there address or fax number! They wouldn't free up any office location or address for me to write.
They will only take credit card payments and no money orders. Ah and if Full--

But this persons name was just Becky, no last name, no customer ID nothing.

Its just a debt collection service.  They are making threats.  I called the number back and when she wouldn't tell me what the company was that called she then said "it doesn't matter either way we will just sue you."  I then was called back by a very agressive person who was basically yelling at me.  They aren't very good at their jobs by any means.

I received a message from a Jeremiah who is "not playing this childish game of yours" and told me to "get some integrity and give him a call...it will be out of his hands and things will look a lot worse for me due to the federal law."  I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know and why would I call someone who is rude and doesn't give me a company name?

Just received a call from this number, was not able to answer.  The message was hard to understand, but he said something about either being Randy Darby or looking for Randy Darby.  He then said to call 801-542-8220, ext 317 by 2:00 or he was going to take national legal action against me.
What seals the question for me is that I filed bankruptcy last month so all my debtors know they are not allowed to call me...of course I did not call either number, this one is now saved as "DO NOT ANSWER".

I got a call from this number and they left a message, (why would I answer a number I dont know) She asked for either me or my husband (using our names) to call her back since it was regarding a "legal matter" which involved our childern and used their names.  I think this is just going way beyond anything and is disgusting.  I hope she does call back I would LOVE to tell her a thing or two.

Got a call from this number but the lady could barely speak english but she was calling for another person and I told her she had the wrong number. She repeated 1/2 of my phone number and realized she had called the wrong number but now she has called back twice and I haven't answered....

I received the same call.  This time he was claiming to actually be a lawyer trying to "settle my debt out of court."  This is for a dental bill they claim I owe from 1997 or 1998.

Same thing happened to my boyfriend. They were calling my phone saying they cant disclose any information unless he called and gave them permission to talk to me.. (what debt collectors do this?) Harassment saying the same things about being out of "Bobby Morgan"s hands by 6pm. Also my bf should show some integrity, pick up his feet, and crawl out from under the rock he's been hiding under. He also said if he doesn't take care of this matter we should be expecting a visitor. Sounds a bit scripted if you ask me. My advice if you get a phone call like this is file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. (Might we add that as Americans we have the right to bear arms so step on our lawn LITTLE BOBBY MORGAN)

They called me saying the exact same thing in a voice message.

That the same thing that happened to me however his name was Robert Morgan.  He started telling me that things are going to get alot worse, and if I dont make a payment by 5pm it is out of his hands.  But why does he keep calling me then???

My husband received a call for an unpaid abulance service.  The caller wants him to pay for this service.  The caller can not give him any information as to whom the service was for or where the service was, do to Hepa privacy laws.
This is about the third call about this and now they say they will turn it over to their attorneys.  My husband said go ahead.  How can they say they can't tell us who the service is for or where the service was, if he is the one who supposedly used this service.  Where does the privacy law come into effect???

Send this letter with a return receipt, and they legally have to stop calling you.

are terminating further collection efforts;
invoking specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by you or your company; or
intend to invoke a specified remedy.
Be advised that I am well aware of my rights! For instance, I know that any future contact by you or your company violates the FDCPA and that since you already have my location information, calls made by you or your company to any 3rd party concerning me violates section 805(b)2 of the FDCPA.

So the company's name is United Recovery Group Inc.  Their address is 11639 S 700 E suite #200 Draper, Utah 84020 and their website is www.urglive.com.  They were very rude to me also.  I tried to get information from them and they just hung up on me when I wouldn't give them any of my information. I hope this information is helpful!

Someone called asking for a Todd Lloyd. I asked if it was a personal call or a buisness. They hung up on me. Very rude.

P.S. I did a number lookup and the 748 prefix is from Midvale, Utah.

They called (again) asking for a "Diane" (apparently she used to own my cell #) but hung up on me when I asked who they were.

I called back, they just answered "Corporate Office."

So I asked "Corporate office of what?"

*silence for a sec*

Me: "Don't hang up on me!"

"Just a minute please."

*transfer*

"Hello this is (Kristine or something)."

Me: "Hi, what corporation is this?"

"This is the U. R. G."

Me: "What's the U.R.G.?"

"Just a minute please."

Rude.

I get that they don't want to share this Diane person's association or case info with me (they used the word "case" on another occasion), but how rude to hang up on me all the time! They're the ones harassing me with constant phone calls! I just want to know who they are so I can complain to someone if they won't listen long enough to take me off their call list, or keep bugging me. I had my husband call them back and tell them it's the wrong number and please quit calling me. Which I'm pretty sure I did a few weeks ago. We'll see if it sticks this time.

I got a call too. No one spoke, I just got a cough in the machine.
