801-751-8493  these people are causing me a great deal of stress and I already have a dissability and this stress is causng it to get much worse my medication doesnot seem to be working and they are causing me a great deal of physical pain WHO knows should I contact the FTC as well as the FBI as it is now becoming a problem that might cause me hospitalization PLEASE I NEED HELP in dealing with this before something drastic happens to me due to the tone of the people who are making these calls I am scared I might have another anxiety attack and be put in the hospital... I NEED SMEONE TO ADVISE ME  thank you

HEY have called me constanly they are very rude hacve told me I have not everasked they do not call I have registered them with do not call agency THEY ARE RUDE HOW DO I STOP THEM I am disabled and i take medication for stress and axiety and they are contributing to my illness.. when I try to call back to get someone to get this worked out I get a fax line connection

CALLED AND TOLD WE HAVE A GOV.GRANT

I also was called by someone from this number.  When they called me, they stated they were represent Sallie Mae and that they offered me a free grant of $4500.00 and and that there would be 356.00 fee that could be waived if I responded right then.  All I needed to do is give them my bank account as well as the routing number and they would deposit this $4500.00 directly to my account (Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids).  Well I told them that I was at work at the moment and that I did not have that information on me at that time and to call me around 7 pm.  I was curious about his for two reason.  One I do have loans with Sallie Mae and two, I never give out my cell phone number to no one other than coworkers and friends so I was curious how they got it.  I then called Sallie Mae and stated what was going on.  They stated that they never heard about this and I gave them the numbers that was listed on my phone and they said they would report it to their supervisor.  Well it is 8:30 pm here and they have not called and I have blocked the number from calling me again.

I have received two calls from this number on my cell. They have alot of personal info, they have my name,my mothers address and my cell is in my bf's name.
I started questioning them, and the lady hung up. I called the number directly back and it said the number was not in service.

This is a scam and you should not believe for one minute that you are actually getting money. Don't give them any personal info/.

uh u guys no that is a federal grant agency number calling u right? my boyfriend kept getting calls from them and they would always hang up...eventually he talked to a real person and theyre giving him a grant for $4000! so stop complaining cuz ull probably get $ too...

I received a call from these people stating they were Federated Financial and I was to receive a grant in the amount of $4,000+ dollars.  After I gave them my account number - they advised me they were going to deducted $359 from my account.

I called a bank to place a stop payment against them.  They do not have a web site nor could they verify when you would receive any funds.

The people I spoke with all had accents -

they called me yesterda and asked to talk to me. when i said this is him, they hung up. then today, same lady called and said the u.s. government wanted to give me a $4,500 grant. she said it was a grant to help pay bills and i don't have to repay it. she asked for my banking info and i told her that i would not share that info with her and she hung up. it's a scam people!!!!!!!!!!

I've JUST STARTED to get these calls at my office as my computer logs every incoming and outgoing call, answered or not.  So, I googled the number and I got this page.  VERY INTERESTING.  It's a pain, but HOPEFULLY they'll stop if I just don't answer. Luckily, it's not my home phone as that would be truly annoying.  At least here a little pop up comes up on my screen with the number - so I click on "ignore"...

they are calling late at night and early in the morning..we answer they hang up i call the number on my caller i.d and a computer comes on and says the number is not in service and to add that i am on the national do not call list and have been for 2 years..so what gives?

No answer when I picked up the call.  There was a recorded message saying this phone number is not in service.  They have called three (3) times today.  Wha' da'?  People's idea of a business astound me...

ditto what Robin said.  I logged on to find out who this number belonged to since it has been bothering me several times a day.  I got some useful information, and unfortunately I had to read comments from this lol idiot too.

I have been receiving calls from 801-751-8493 on my cell phone several times a day.  The first one or two I answered but there was no one, at least no one talking on the other end.  I don't answer at all any more.  But I still get the calls. I have traced the number to Ogden, Utah and it is listed under the name Global Commu J2.  The company is J2 Global Communications, Inc. in Los Angeles.  Their address is 6922 Hollywood Blvd, Suite 500, LA, CA 90028.  Phone # 323-860-9200.  I called them and actually talked with someone about the calls from the 801 number.  They said they would try hard to correct the problem.  The number is a land line and the carrier is Xo Utah, Inc.  I am prepared to report this to the local police and the FBI (since it is cross state lines) as a "stalking call."

This number calls several times a day now for the last week, but will never leave a message.

J2 GLOBAL COMMU @801) 751-8493 has been calling my home phone for over a month, no one says anything . I called this number back and got a recording, left message for them not to call my number again, to no avail, rec'd two or more calls every day. This is annoying.

I work for a legitimate telemarketing company and the person LOL is right, it is computer generated calls and we use a dialer. The calls come to us every 30 to 40 seconds and it takes a minute to hear the person. However, this company does not answer. I have been called several times myself. Of course being a tlemarketer, I am courtious to the people who call me. I knwo their job sucks. But we have a response we are required by law to say when people ask us to be put on the DO NOT CALL LIST. Most of these companies will just hang up. There a FTC laws and regulations we have to follow. I know the other companies do too. It's a shame that even I can't stand it when they hang up on me.

This number calls daily, today I was home. I answered, after after a pause, caller asked for my son, when I said this number was on the do not call list - they hung up. Sounded like a middle eastern female.

I'VE BEEN GETTING CALL FOR A WEEK NOW,BUT EVERYTIME I CALL BACK IT SAID THIS NUMDER IS NOT IN USED.

Well they call me 8- 10 times every single day on my cellphone and I have answered and let them talk and tell me their offer. I told them that I wasn't interested and wanted to be taken off there list and he hung up on me. Then the next day another person called and I asked to speak to a supervisor b/c I was suppose to be taken off the list and I got hung up on....this is crazy and very disrespectful....

I am not going to use anymore minutes on them. I have called my phone service Verizon and asked for that number to be blocked...

i have left several messages for them to stop calling...and they weren't nice messages lol....but they still called. so i don't think it would do any good to call them.  i have never gotten a hold of anyone there and they hung up on me everytime they called.  my calls lasted about a week, but since i reported them on here they haven't called for three days.  i don't know if they somehow can tell who turns them in and they stop calling or what the deal is.  they were calling me from a 425 before and when i reported them they stopped too.  so hopefully they will stop calling you too, i know how annoying they are, good luck

...well, I was. Now when I call back it rings once, then I get "This number is not in use. Thank you for calling. Goodbye."  I am livid.

UGH...I answered again, after the first ring, and they hung up. Since I can not get someone on the phone when I answer, I will now call the number back and leave a message instructing them not to call my number again. We'll see how it goes.

These boners keep calling and before I pickup it hangs up... its driving me Mad I wish that they would stop...

I called them back only to get a damn machine saying: "Please press one to leave a message please press two to make a fax... Or begin faxing at anytime... Record your message at the tone at the end of you message please hang up orpress pound for more options... BEEP..."

I answered again; they hung up again.

I have been experiencing the same behavior from this phone number, and this is absolutely ridiculous. I NEVER give out my number on the internet or otherwise. These people need to get a life! Does anyone know who I can report this activity to so it can be stopped? Everyone should do the same.
