Has anyone here been to a car lot called "Public Auction?" I believe they are the ones calling.

iv had this dush bag call and ask for me by name. i do not know who he is or where hes from but here are my views on the subject.

i do debt collections in my local town and we use a program called spoof calling. it uses a land line to patch trough to your phone. then it gives you the option to put in another phone number to show up on caller id. so that is the only way on earth that i know you can mask a number so that when you call it back, it is not in service.

i do a lot of differnt things with ebay and i recaently sold a laptop to someone in cali. i have received call from a women asking me ?s on the laptop, befor and after it was sent. then i got a call back from the same number that had been calling me latley. im not sure where thier getting the numbers but watch out.

I am constantly receiving calls from this number and I would like to know how you can put a stop to it.  HELP!!  They never leave messages and when I call this number back it says it has been disconnected which it has not.  Who can we contact in order to put a stop to this.  Any assistance/guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

keep recieving a call from 1-801-785-2724. I recieve this call about 5 + times a day. i answered it twice and know one ever answers. I've called the number back and it is said to be disconected.

Just recently started getting calls from this number.  They call and hang up. usually in the mornings.. Who is this??

i answered and the foreigner asked to speak to me by name and then hung up.

801-785-2724 has called here 3 times this evening. on the 3rd call, there was finally someone at the other end. he spoke japanese or chinese. could NOT understand him, so hung up. how do you stop these idiots from calling. we are on the do not call list.

These people call my home atleast 6 times a day. My home phone number is unlisted! And like most of you, I tried to call back only to be told that the number is diconnnected? I have added my number to the do not call list. Hopefully, that will stop these crazy calls!!! I am also reporting it to the local sheriff's dept. Maybe that will put a stop to some of this craziness!!! I just feel sorry for the victims of this scam. With the economy in such bad shape, people are more apt to cling to false hopes offered by these bad people.

i saw this ad online about how you can get a business kit from google just by paying US$1.97 shipping and handling and by doing what was in the kit, you can start getting paid by posting sites onlines that was supposed to be in the kit and google will track all these posts and start paying you. so i got interested since i would like to earn extra money and almost a week later i still havent gotten my kit after having to pay it online then just yesterday i got a call from 1 801-785-2724 telling me i have to pay $3.88 s&h and i said i already paid it and the lady who can barely speak english told me that she doesnt know what the $1.97 was about, they were the only way to get the google business kit in as soon as 24 hours if i pay the $3.88 and so ostupid me i gave her my credit card number, the verification code and the expiration date, she tells me that they have a technical difficulty and she cant give me a confirmation number and she will call me back and then i sensed this might be a fraud cuz she wont give me a confirmation number and they have "technical difficulty" after i gave all of my info.she said she will call back asap and if the transaction doesnt go through, they wont charge me anything. BUT THIS WOMAN ALREADY HAS MY CREDIT CARD INFO!!!!!! so when i asked what her name was, she hung up on me and never called back. i immediately called my bank and told what happend and said that they keep an eye on my account so far, there were no charges, but this woman, got my credit card number and everything. do not answer this phone call and dont give any information that you believe should not be given over the phone. sense their tone and trust your instincts.

Got my first call from this number today. followed by 3 more calls and each time no response when i answered and when i call back it says its disconnected. so i googled it and found this msg board. it surprises me that this happens to so many ppl and nothings been done about it.

How many times can I get a call from 801-785-2724...? I think they are definitely trying for a record! its so annoying, how can we stop them from calling?

I keep getting calls as well about 6-8 a day! It is annoying. It is a relief to know it is only some nut trying to get attention. I am in the Philadelphia area. Is everyone else in this same area?

Just noticed that he's "upping" his game w/me. Started about 3wks or so ago just once a day, every couple of days. As of the 9th, he's calling every day, multiple times a day. I've tried answering the phone, letting it go to my machine, always the same....either he doesn't say a word, or hangs up on my machine.
