received a text on my cellphone and my husbands regarding a credit unioun account and wanted us to call this number. don't know who it is and how they got our cellphones. it is definitely a scam. we have a block on spam messages on our phones so not sure how it got through.

My husband got the same message on his cell saying our credit union acct has been deactivated and we need to call this # to re-activate our acct. We don't have a credit union acct, so I called the # back and it said "You have reached the Credit Union Account Reactivation Line, Please Enter your Account #" so I entered 0 and pressed # and then it said "Please Enter your 4 diget Pin" So I entered 0 and pressed # it then said "Your Acct has been Activated"
And d/c the call. It must be fraud there is no company name no way to talk to someone I reversed search the name and # and came up with nothing. BE AWARE DO NOT GIVE OUT ACCT INFO. If you belong to a credit union call them directly!!!!

Scam alert! Got a text message on my Verizon phone last night (02-04-2009).
This is what the text said:
Dear credit union customer,we regret to inform you that we had to lock your bank account access.Call (801)804-7139 to restore your bank account.
Do not call this number if you received this message. It is obviously a scam.
